I am looking for help to learn Apple MapKit JS to display IMDF files created by FME Desktop. Hello, I have features with geometries stored in a db. My process is manually currently:1. Reading the features from db and displaying on inspector with a background map.2. Open Google maps. Find the feature on google map. (for the example in this screenshot, it should be something similar to https://www.google.com/maps/@41.533164,-88.0750639,15.5z )3. Copy google map url (which is showing the respective feature) to an excel file. This excel contains all features id and their google map url.I would like to automate the process. Is this possible in FME?Or is there any way to locate automatically the features on google maps?
Using FME Desktop 2020, I'm writing to ArcGIS Portal (10.7) using the 'Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service'. This works successfully and the user attributes (field headers) are 'Full Title Case'.However my issue is when I use the reader 'Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service', it read back the feature, however all the user attributes are all 'lowercase'. Does anyone experience the same issue? The same issue does not appear when using the 'Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Feature Service'.
Hi partners,This is to inform you that before the end of the month, Safe will be launching two global nurture campaigns to all local government and utility customers, educating them about FME and the subscription offerings for their industry. This campaign will run for approximately 3 weeks (May - June).UPDATE: The copy for this campaign are still being reviewed but we are able to share some high level details with you:- We are educating users about the benefits of the FME platform - Subscription pricing will be mentioned - The email campaigns will direct users to various resources (e.g. blog posts, webinars) specific to their industry - The primary goal of these campaigns is to educate and nurture leads and users, encouraging them to speak with either Safe Software or a Partner depending on their region We will be encouraging customers to reach out to their local partners for more information or if they have any questions about any content in the email. If you have any questions, pleas
Have FME Desktop 2020. It turns out that writing UPRN's into a CSV doesn't work for values above 99.999.999. Have tried all data types in the writer (real64 is the one that FME sets automatically, but have tried String, int64, etc..). Nothing works. Can somebody help me please? First capture is the output before writing csv (upper workflow): Second capture is the output after reading the CSV (lower workflow). Notice that there are 14400 records with null UPRN.
Is there a way to control the order of layers that are output to the DWG Writer or is that controlled by the DWG Template used?I have a number of layers say A,B,C but I want the DWG output to be B,A,C. If I output to a PDF the order of the layers is the order they appear in the PDF Output but if I send the same layers and order to the DWG they are ordered in the same order as the template. My guess is I just need to change the order in the template but just wanting to see if anyone knows of a way in FME.ThanksDean
Hi FME folks,My first post so go easy on me please :)We use FME at work for various geo-spatial projects and I've been asked to look into it's C.Vision capabilities. Previously I had a crack at anaconda and some GPU accelerated approaches but the amount of back-end stuff necessary to get started go a little too involved.I've gone through your video tute @dmitribagh as well as all the workspaces provided and with some solid hrs. of practice I managed to get all of them working. I am somewhat of an an FME newb with less then 50hrs. of usage at a rough guess.I'm trying to build a model for recognizing houses (roofs) in aerial photography. I've managed to create auto annotations using some footprint data which we have.Idea being that I need a "clean" image of a single house rather than a house surrounded by other houses, and annotations being rectangles sort of forces you to improvise. I have a bunch of negatives of empty lots which I manually created ... ...
Why my FME 2020 Doesnot Read IFCSpaces? When reading IFC Step Xml file with Read Ifcspace geometries' to Yes, but still not present in select feature Type. i tried on different IFC Files from Revit in FME 2020.
Dear all, Task: create DSM raster from point cloud with highest points in each cell 0.5 x 0.5m I tried with RasterDEMGenerator - but it's not taking the highest point in each cell. PointCloudStatsRasterizer receives good values, but i got holes. Is any tool to close gaps in raster, like SAGA GIS - close gaps? From LASTOOLS.lasgrid i received also holes: Or maybe any idea more? Thanks for help in advance

I am using the FeatureWriter transformer to write an AutoCAD drawing (*.dwg). That’s working great. Within this drawing, I have an XREF. I am using the autocad_xref_name and autocad_xref_path attributes to identify the XREF drawing. This is working BUT the layer is linked to Layer 0 in the primary drawing. Any idea how to link the XREF to a layer other than Layer 0? This would allow the AutoCAD user to, for example, turn off the XREF drawing by freezing the non-Layer 0 layer. I tried the autocad_layer attribute but that just creates a new layer. Any ideas?
When using a Generic Reader with Guess format from extension, I know it is possible to create a "dummy" resource in the workbench to pass configuration parameters, but how do you set the preferred order of readers that is applied? Say for argument's sake I need to read TAB files using MITAB (not MAPINFO) or SHP files using SHAPEFILE (not ESRISHAPE). I'm not making a judgement on which reader is preferred, rather if you are required to use one that isn't the default, how do you do that?
I'm working with the Laspublish transformer to view point clouds in potree. The script runs fine but results in a blank html document. I have confirmed that the original Las data is valid via Data Inspector.Even the side bar css or html code does not seem to be rendering correctly.Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hello Team,We were using a .Net code to generation API token to access FMEServer in 2015 version, Which was working fine.Recently we upgraded to FME Server 2019 tried accessing FME server with same source code which was using in FME Server 2015, was throwing an error as "No token was found for user id XXXXX". Could somebody help me to resolve the issue. Also let us know what is the change in token id generation using FME Server 2019? Does we need to update our source code to generate Token with 2019 version? Thanks in Advance!!!
We have FME Server 2019. I want to run some python that uses arpcy from ArcGIS Pro.ArcGIS Pro installation requires Microsoft dot net 4.8. I have installed it and restarted the server machine. Now our FME Server web interface did not come back up. FME server seems to be running. But we can't access the web interface. 1. How do I fix the web interface for FME Server? Is it dot net that causes the problem?2. Has anyone successfully used arcpy from ArcGIS Pro on FME Server?

Hello, I am trying to write to a Smallworld DB, in a required field (Nominal Diameter) associated with a catalog and I get the following errors: "Smallworld Translator Error: The '4' value of Nominal Diameter field does not map to an entry in the Main Catalog catalog.Smallworld Translator Error: The '3' value of Nominal Diameter field does not map to an entry in the Main Catalog catalog.Smallworld Translator Error: The '2' value of Nominal Diameter field does not map to an entry in the Main Catalog catalog". Those values are present in the catalog, but the writer cannot find them.Any recommendation to use Smallworld catalogs? Thanks in advance,Jesus Alejandro Ruiz.
Hi @erik_jan or someone else, I am stuck reading a gml file with an OGR namespace in it. FME generates the reader feature type correctly, however, when I run the workspace (FME 2017, even with only an inspector attached to the feature type), it seems that whatever I do, FME throws an error: XML Parser error: 'Error in input dataset:'C:\xxxxx.gml' line:15 column:10 message:invalid element name 'ogr:''The XML Module halted on error, see the logfile for details. The logfile gives me only this:A <schemaLocation> in the uri-map is overriding the namespace 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink' xsd location from 'http://schemas.opengis.net/gml/3.1.0/xlink/xlinks.xsd' to 'xlink.xsd'A <schemaLocation> in the uri-map is overriding the namespace 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink' xsd location from 'http://schemas.opengis.net/gml/3.1.0/xlink/xlinks.xsd' to 'xlink.xsd'<GML_1 Reader> - Using the current GML 3.2.1 reader to read v3.1.1 and v2.1.2 documents.<GML_1 Reader> - Map Embedded Ob

Hi I am just starting to work on converting multipage tif files to pdf. Testing small files of less than 7 pages has worked fine . now I am testing the actual data set and I am getting this error on the first page of the tif file. TIFF reader: TIFFFetchNormalTag:ASCII value for tag "Make" contains null byte in value; value incorrectly truncated during reading due to implementation limitationsTIFF reader: TIFFFetchNormalTag:ASCII value for tag "Model" contains null byte in value; value incorrectly truncated during reading due to implementation limitations I barely understand how the tiff reader works and can see no configuration for tagvalues . Clueless as to what this can mean.
I am trying to use a FeatureWriter to write my features out to a ShapeFile. When connecting the last transformer to the FeatureWriter the FeatureWriter automatically determines how each field name should be renamed (in case a field name is longer than 10), but it doesn't connect each attribute to the renamed field names. Thus when running the workspace it fails when trying to write a feature:FeatureWriter (WriterFactory): Field name 'ID_NAMESPACE' is greater than the maximum 10 character lengthIs this on purpose? The "Automatically connect attributes" option on the connection to the FeatureWriter is disabled, so I can't fix it that way. The only way I can think of is to manually rename all fields to match those chosen by the FeatureWriter. The workspace has previously been running without problems in FME 2018 or FME 2019.I am using FME 2020.0.0.1 x64 on Windows 10.
Hi all, So I have successfully read in a shapefile to FME and written it to our ArcGIS Enterprise Portal. What I next want to do is send an updated version of the shapefile into Portal, overwriting the existing version (as this feature will be added into maps and dashboards etc.). However I have tried to do this in several ways and it isn't working. The shapefile is very simple, a 'provider field' a 'total field' and an 'easting' and 'northing' field. The provder field is likely the only attributes which will change, with the values changing regularly. What I tried first was in the writer set the Portal layer to INSERT and Truncate the layer, but this resulted in the layer deleting all attribute values out of 2 of the 4 fields (provider and total)?! So I then tried setting the writer to UPDATE, this this failed as the shapefile doesn't contain a 'objectid' field. Although when I view the shapefile in ArcGIS, it does have an ID field, but
Does anyone have any bright ideas. We're trying to write hyperlinks into an Excel worksheet but failing to do so. The old Excel ADO writer doesn't support this (http://fmepedia.safe.com/articles/FAQ/Reading-hyperlinks-from-an-Excel-spreadsheet) but I thought the new one might with perhaps some of the format codes that are now supported in the new writer (http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/number-date-and-time-format-codes-HP005207595.aspx) but it appears not. If you try to be clever and write a concatenated formula string into Excel with either writer like this: =HYPERLINK("http://www.1spatial.com/fme","http://www.1spatial.com/fme") ...FME just writes it explicitly as above... we've even tried adding a return line in the concatenator to no avail. Ironically if you open the results of this and click into the cell and hit return it enables the hyperlink, so it's not a formatting issue either. So, I guess my plea is, has anyone done this or does
Hello,I have a XML file with a GML geometry inside (in attach). Moreover I have the XSD file (named: CensusTechSheet). Can I read that file with FME? I suppose: yes. But someone can suggest me how can I do this?Regards Gianpiero
