Quick question; if I want to use a token to authenticate my Data Virtualization, rather than a FME Flow user, I need to build it myself, correct? (and then do that for all endpoints of course)

Hi allI want to define the Geometry Type in PostGIS-Writer. I recently changed from an old version of FME to version 2025.2 In the user dialog of the writer there ist still a field for the definition (feature type/user attributes/spatial definition/geometry type, but the field is de-activated (grayed out).Is there a way to “manually” define the geometry type for postgis tables?  Thank you for any help.

Hi,I have a file geodatabase (.gdb) containing feature classes, along with an Excel file that includes ArcGIS Pro SQL definition queries intended for specific feature classes.Example: gdb with feature classes ArcPro definition querySchema = '1' And Rodzaj NOT LIKE '%B%' I’d like to understand how I can automatically convert these ArcGIS Pro SQL queries into FME SQL syntax. The queries will vary each time and are tailored to individual feature classes. This SQL works in FeatureReader but it requires a lot of manual work   

Hi,  I get an error “unable to open primary document entity” if I have a XML-file with a space-character “ “ in the filename of the XMLfile I want to validate in XMLValidator. (2024.2) My questions: is there a work around to set up “Manage User Parameters”, so I can’t upload XML-files with a space in the filename? Best regards,Inka

HiI recently upgraded FME Form from 2025.0 to 2026.1.1 and my workspace for processing IFC files no longer seems to work. So far, I have noticed these issues:FME 2026 does not detect the same attributes, such as BIP.IfcGUID.NominalValue I removed the reader and added it again and FME now seems to replace BIP.IfcGUID.NominalValue with BIP.IfcGUID. The “Door” subset now seems to cointain thousands of attributes, which was not the case in FME 2025. This makes FME very slow to work with. Saving the workspace now takes several minutes and the .fmw file has grown from around 0,9 MB to 21 MB. Opening the workspace takes several minutes as well. Has anyone else noticed these issues?

Hi all,I’m working with FME 2025.1 on a LandXML export-import workflow and encountering an issue: LandXML Reader and Writer do not have a Version 1.2 option. My goal is to export a corridor alignment, but the vertical alignment (profile) data is not coming through correctly. Without 1.2 support, how can I tolerate or work around these missing elements in FME? Specifically, I’m wondering: Is there a way to properly bring vertical alignment data from a LandXML 1.2 file into FME? Are there alternative formats or preprocessing steps to compensate for missing data? How can I avoid data loss on the Writer side, since 1.2 is not supported for export? HI there,I have a FME Flow 2026.1 deployment in a fault tolerant configuration with ALB and SSL enabled in AWS.The HTTPS traffic on port 443 to the ALB is working fine going to core and running jobs on the engines.I’m struggling in finding the documentation on the ALB setup for the websocket and setting the ‘Internal WebSocket URL’ in the system configuration section in the WebUI so I can use notifications/topics in my automations as triggers.I’m basically looking for ALB configuration. So, my questions are:Does the ALB require port 7078 listener and then to target the EC2 on port 7078?Which EC2 should be in the target group? is it core or engine?What would be the health check url to the EC2 to determine the EC2 can receive the websocket traffic?What url would you set for the ‘Internal WebSocket URL’ in the config settings based on above?At the moment, I have looked at safe github repo for AWS IaC which is very generic and the ALB fails on the health check to the core EC2 If someone co

Hello all, I have a FME flow web-app (image 1). I am attempting to get a message to the user in certain circumstances via HTML output (image 2), which displays a message via the browser to the user if certain conditions are met, via redirecting the web-app page, e.g. there is an issue with their edits (image 3)image 1image 2image 3, text printed through the browserThis works, sort of. but its not good enough for end users, as the page redirects, but is blank and is stuck in a perpetual loading state. Until the user hits the ‘stop refresh’ (X) on their browser, then the message (image 3) appears.My questions are:How can I make this work without the user having to hit the stop refresh button?Will that page redirect stop the rest of the FME process from running/committing changes? Is there a way to link this to a terminator? if I can terminate the process the perpetual refresh may also stop.   I have the services set up like this:Or, are there any alternative ways to get a message to the

Hello,I have a workbench that converts GIS data to an AutoCAD Map 3D object data file. In this workbench, I’m creating new layers that don’t exist in the template file being used, and would like to set their default lineweight of these new layers to “Default” or “ByLayer”. I am able to successfully define an “autocad_lineweight” attribute in the workbench and set it equal to -3 or -1 and the GIS line features that are translated receive the correct lineweight value.However, the layers themselves do not. The layer default lineweight appears to be controlled by the “Default Lineweight” parameter in the writer feature type. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to an option to select -3 or -1. Additionally, attempting to set that parameter to the previously defined attribute leads to a failure w/the following messages (xyz is the path & file name of the output):AutoCAD Writer: An error occurred for dataset ‘xyz’ in function RealDWGWriter::checkToCreateDynamicObjectDataTable. For automations run at different frequencies e.g. hourly, daily, monthly, how to manage logfiles cleanup to best use of space?Is it possible to set the hourly automations logfiles clean up daily, while daily automation log files clean up biweekly. 

We need a FME Flow data stream which generates an HTML page showing an index of all available FME Flow Workspace Apps on our FME Flow instance.In FME Server 2022 REST API V3 we used [FME_Server_instance]/fmerest/v3/apps?.In FME Flow 2025 REST API V4, when we use the analogue [FME_Flow_instance]/fmeapiv4/flow-apps?, we do not obtain a result.Which is the appropriate call to obtain the information on all Workspace Apps available on an FME Flow instance in REST API V4 (as e.g. is [FME_Flow_instance]/fmeapiv4/repositories? to obtain all Repositories)?

When I attempted to upgrade to StringPairReplacer, Show Changes displays:StringPairReplacer Version 2 replaced by StringReplacer Version 6StringReplacer Change Log, version 6Added multi-attribute string replace support.My Replacement Pairs in StringPairReplacer v2 has multiple lines and quotes. This has worked great for years, and now I can’t upgrade. My first impression is that StringPairReplacer was changed so dramatically that it might have been better to leave it alone (and not replace it with StringReplacer). Here’s what my old StringPairReplacer looked like. And here are my Replacement Pairs (using the Open Text Editor). I use multiple lines and quotes, and it works great.Apparently, the upgrader is not expecting multiple lines or quotes. It’s a mess.I tried creating a csv file but, I couldn’t figure out the proper format.Finally, I removed the quotes (replacing spaces with underscores) and put it on a single line. Now, the upgrade works. I wouldn’t call this success. I’ve noticed a few issues since upgrading FME Form & Flow (FME Flow 2026.1 Build 26103 - win64) that seem to show up when I’m also developing in FME Form while remoted into our FME test VM.This is how I usually work, mainly because some jobs take a while to run and if I do them locally my PC can go to sleep after 5 minutes and the jobs fail. This setup has never had an issue in the past. Since the upgrade though, running Form this way can cause problems with FME Flow on the same VM. When I’m running heavier workbenches and CPU hits 100%, Flow can become unresponsive or look like it’s soft‑locked. This never happened before the upgrade.One thing I’ve noticed is that this seems to mostly affect SSO sessions. My theory is that when CPU is maxed out, Flow struggles to grab required info for SSO before it expires. Just a guess. I am also concerned that FME flow may soft lock itsself if it is running 100% cpu and the user cannot log in via SSO (yet to be tested) It also feels like the ne

Hello ,I would like to create a complete review list of all FME workspaces and processes in our environment.The first requirement is to generate a list of all FME names available in FME Server, including: Which users have access to export them Whether they are automated If automated, on which day and at what time they run  Where is the FME output stored? If they are manually exported, which users have permission or access to perform the export The second requirement is to create a list of all FME workspaces built and stored on local Windows environments.I would also like to export all names and related information into Excel files.What would be the best solution or approach to manage both requirements and create a complete review list of all active and working FME .Thanks in advance 

I have been using FME 2025.1 to update a table that has 1.7M records and 12 fields in ArcGIS Enterprise (AGE) for the last year and we are getting ready to move the webmap to ArcGIS Online (AGOL) later this year.  The issue that I am having is that it is taking more than double the amount of time to update the table in AGOL.  I’ve read the FME community comments and the Esri forums but haven’t been able to find an alternate solution that can improve the update speed.My typical process has processing/enriching in FME and then the feature writer to truncate and insert into the feature layer in AGOL.  The hosted feature layer also has a “View” as that is the portion that we would eventually show to the public.  The update is run weekly and is automated in AGE using FME Flow, which is also the goal for AGOL.  I am not a python wizard.  Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone experienced the same issue and found the solution? Thanks,Peter

I would like to read what i am seeing below :PDF file with text in RED (image) on top of text In the above image under the RED text / numbers is BLACK text /numbers (i do not want the PDF READER to read this but rest in BLACK visible in above is okie) e.g. When i read PDF it reads T64 but i want to read T100 + other text/numbers visible in above image OR I want to read U 22700 mm and NOT U 22000 mm OR I want to read U 22950 mm and NOT U 22200 mm PDF file with text behind the RED (image) text  This is how my PDF READER pdf READER 

I got this error when trying to add attachments to AGO: The ArcGIS REST API returned an error: HTTP Error Code: 413 : '' Message Code . Further details: 'The page was not displayed because the request entity is too large.'Esri community has a solution to edit the header, but there’s no option to edit header on transformer? 

With the now depreciated IFC with Data Views, I was able to extract colour properties using an Appearance Extractor which I could then write to the resulting multipatch. Having looked at the IFC_API reader, it doesn’t seem to have any of the colour properties and all fail in the Appearance Extractor. Can anyone advise on how to access the colour using this reader?
