Apparently since fixing this problem https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/articles/25407612007949-Known-Issue-FME-Flow-Apache-Tomcat-Vulnerability-with-X-Frame-Options-headerIn FME Flow 2025.1, embedding FME Flow content to other pages is disabled entirely by default.  Is there any chance to allow embedding from known sources or is embedding considered so risky that this would not be even considered? 

Hi everyone, I am having the strangest issue with FME Flow. I have a Form that process some data and then creates a pdf file. It works just fine locally with a UNC path. My issue is Flow, when I publish it, i get a permission denied, but the strange thing is it has no issue writing .txt file to that folder and to make it even more strange, it worked correctly two times out of the 50 tries I did changing things. I have even tried adding this UNC path as a resource in Flow and same result. Has anyone had such issues before? Any suggestions?

I have ArcGIS Pro Data Interoperability Extension.  Within the last couple of days, it keeps stalling at the start screen “Checking License”.  I know I have a license!  And it works sometimes…without any trouble.  If I Restart my PC, it opens fine, but if I try to run a reader (excel, csv), that is stalling as well.  Even though these are small files, they just don’t come in.  I’ve tried starting/stopping/pausing/purging, etc.  The only thing I’ve been able to do to get the Extension to open again, is to do a cold boot of the laptop.Is there some other cache somewhere I need to clear out?  (I’ve cleared the cache from within FME Form itself) several times, but then end up rebooting anyway.  I’m relatively new to using FME, but these files are quite simple with only a couple thousand records.  I tried to read both as .xlsx and .csv today.  Could this be an issue with a log file filling up?  Thanks for any tips/suggestions.

HelloWhen reading a Utility Network feature service on ArcGIS Enterprise from FeatureReader using the Esri ArcGIS Feature Service format, only 2000 rows are returned. No errors are shown in the translation log (scrubbed and attached, using package version 3.25.4). There are no AGS Log entries to indicate an issue on our side. This issue was not present with package versions 3.22.0 and 3.25.1 Environment: ArcGIS Enterprise: 11.3 FME Form: 2025.1.3.0 (20251001 - Build 25643 - WIN64) FeatureReader Version 16 Esri ArcGIS Connector Package: 3.25.3, 3.25.4  

I need to download multiple files and folders from SFTP to a SharePoint folder. The SFTP connection uses a custom port and a private key file (.ppk) instead of password. How to achieve this via FME 2026.2?

I have a QGIS .model3 file that uses PostgreSQL tables as its inputs and writes to other PostgreSQL tables as its outputs. On FME Flow we added a Network Based Resource. In FME Flow, I can see that the system path of this Network Based Resource is characterized with a parameter, e.g. '$(My_Network_Based_Resource)'. I had some trouble on using that parameter in a workspace with FME Form Workbench. FME Form is not aware that this parameter exists, and upon using it in e.g. a path reader.Is there any way that you can expose additional FME Flow parameters to FME Form Workbench? As a workaround I was able to use a ParameterFetcher, and then feeding in the attribute value of the Network Based Resource into the FeatureReader, but that seems not ideal. Also, the ParameterFetcher does show a Red Cogwheel, because it is not aware of the parameter. Another alternative is probably to create an additional 'FileURL' type of parameter, and set the (default) value for that parameter to '$(My_Network_Based_Resource)'. However, also here it seems that you are then forced to make the FileURL parameter

Hi everyone,I am working with the PDFPageFormatter once again. It is frustrating that I cannot figure out why the elements in my Layout don’t appear where I want them on the page. In order to have an acceptable looking map upon export, I basically have to do trial and error with the placement in PDFPageFormatter, and not follow the page dimensions at all. Why is this the case with this transformer and is there a fix?I am using 2026.2.1.0 (20260806 - Build 26345 - WIN64) but I’ve had this same issue on basically ever version I used. 

I have a workflow that reads an Excel file (attached image ExistingSourceDataset_XLSXR_image.png) then uses an AttributeManager transformer to modify the data, then writes the results to a SQL server database (attached image sampleFMWimage.png). Works great.I’ve been asked if it is possible to replace the hard coded Excel filename in the ExcelReader with a prompt for the filename. I thought it would be easy. I was wrong. My original thought was create a User Parameter (I’ll call it excelFilename) and then replace the existing source dataset with that User Parameter. Found no way to do that. Has anyone done something similar? Or know how to make that work?

I current have a workspace reader that reads all of fmw files in a selected folder and use the WriterFeatureTypes to find all names writers in each fmw file being read.But when I run it, it produces errors and warning messages that aren't relevant to the writer (screenshot below).Since I only wish to know the names of the layers that the writers in each fmw file writes to, is there a way to avoid reading other information about the file such as the transformers to remove getting these errors/warnings and improve the runtime?

Hi community,I am working on a prototype workbench where I read spatial locations, process data, and write them out to a brand-new layer in ArcGIS Online. My primary goal is to attach local PDF documents (using a file path attribute named path_windows) to these newly created features as they are uploaded.I am using the FeatureWriter (Esri ArcGIS Feature Service) transformer set to Create If Needed / Insert. However, I have hit a roadblock when trying to pass the written records downstream to the ArcGISAttachmentConnector:The individual feature type output port on the FeatureWriter does not exist (or doesn't pass the individual features downstream with the required AGOL metadata). The Summary port outputs a single feature containing the _dataset URL, but it drops the individual spatial features and row-level attributes like path_windows. Because the ArcGISAttachmentConnector requires both the individual feature stream (carrying the generated OBJECTID) and the layer's REST endpoint URL,

We're using the TrimbleUnityConnector in FME Workbench 2026.2 and have noticed that when creating a new activity, the connector displays template options for items such as inspections. However, no Work Order Template options are available.As a workaround, we've been passing the Work Order Template ID as an attribute, which works, but we'd expected the templates to be selectable in the connector like the other activity types.Has anyone else experienced this behavior, or is there additional configuration required to expose the Work Order Template options?Here is inspections for comparison

Hello everyone, I have the following problem with a solid (possible bug) (see screenshots) (minimal example included)FME-Version: 2026.1.1.0 (20260415 - Build 26121 - WIN64) I have a digital elevation model. I extrude the model.I slice the resulting solid at a fixed Z-value. I pick the part under the slicing plane.Up until here a GemoetryValidator does not find any issues ✅Next step is to dissolve the solid and after this the GemoetryValidator does find 3 issues ❌(Self-Intersections in 2D, Invalid Solid Boundaries, Incorrect Solid Orientation)  The issue only occurs at a very specific slicing level. Slicing the solid + - 0.000001 m above or below does not cause an issue. Removing the issue locations before dissolving also prevents the issues from appearing. Does anyone have an idea what could cause these issues? Many thanks in advance.  Minimal example to demonstrate the problem:  Configuration of the GeometryValidators:

There are a series of similar posts but still not seeing a way to expose attributes dynamically.I have a a large number of geodatabases which have multiple layers and different attributes, which I am merging with a geometry layer so I end up with a single layers with lots of attributes.The geodatabases have a series of tables and a geometry layer, but there is no consistency in attributes between the geodatabases.How do I expose and have these exposed attributes output to a merged dataset? 

I have a workspace on FME Flow that ultimately creates records in a SQL Server non-spatial database using two SQLExecutor transformers with queries that came directly from the DBA.  I didn’t write the queries and I only basically understand what they do because I’m not a SQL person, but they both are sandwiched between “BEGIN TRANSACTION  → COMMIT” statements.  Up until recently, the SQLExecutor transformers in question used hard-coded server/username etc and it all worked fine.  However, during our most recent FME Flow software update (to 2024, but I don’t think Flow is the problem here as it is present in my Form testing as well) I was informed by our FME administrator that I could no longer use hard-coded server/username details, I had to switch to using an ESRI ArcSDE Geodb connection file to connect to this SQL Server database.  This change worked just fine for other, more simple, Select and Insert sql queries, but these two mentioned above just stopped working.  I confess I find

One of my clients is using FME on Linux with only the command line interface and is having some trouble importing database connections. Specifically: they don’t know how to do it on the command line.I can’t find much in the way of documentation for this. I suspect that if it is at all possible it may be through the APPLY_SETTINGS command, but other than that I can see that that exists, I can’t find any indication anywhere on what those settings may be and how to set them.Any clues? Anybody with an old manual somewhere? I do have old installation cd’s and dvd’s going back to FME 2005, but I don’t think I have a computer with a cd or dvd drive anymore 😅 Hoping one of the other long-time users has something stashed away...

Hi, I read gdb data, simply changed the data attribute type, and when outputting the gdb data, I selected Dynamic Schema Definition, Schema Sources* chose "Schema From Schema Feature", cleared the attributes, why is the output gdb empty?  

Good day, I have a couple of points on a line feature. I would like to draw one polygon around each point, the point serves as center point of the polygon. The polygons should be 1.5m x 1.5m. Two sides should be parallel, two sides perpendicular to the line. See screenshots. What is the fastest way to achieve it ?

I am working with a fairly large dataset and using FeatureWriter to write more than 200 data layers to a GDB. You could say that it is a complete template that can be reused. However, FeatureWriter seems to have an issue where it automatically defaults the Geometry Type of all features to a fixed type when I click on each input row to inspect it, even though my 200+ layers contain many different geometry types (points, lines, and polygons), all of which have been explicitly configured rather than using the “From First Feature” option.Initially, I thought I might have configured the Geometry Type incorrectly for some of the layers. However, after I manually configured the Geometry Type for all 200+ layers and clicked on FeatureWriter again, the same issue occurred.To be honest, I preferred the FeatureWriter in previous versions. Hi everyone,I’m publishing hosted layers to ArcGIS Online (AGOL) using the Esri ArcGIS Feature Service writer. My issue is that the map extent for the item in AGOL is at 0,0 (aka middle of the ocean). I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to cause this problem. I have attached screenshots below of my workflow and writer settings. I reproject the layer to ESPG:3857 as recommended. Hi, I have a bunch of fairly complicated SQL queries, which I frequently use in an SQL Creator. This saves me a tremendous amount of featuremergers and such, because the sql basically re-creates the business object from the normalized database tables. Up to version 2020 this worked just fine: insert an SQLCreator, select DB Connection (SQL Server 2016 SP3), copy-and-paste SQL from my code snippets, click on the ellipsis to Expose attributes, click on Populate from SQL Query, and I'd be done. Now that we've upgraded to 2022, that does not work anymore. The Attributes to Expose dialog stays empty, and no error messages or warnings appear in the log. It is rather annoying because I have to do this all the time, and now I have to copy the attribute names manually from my sql statement. It's causing me quite a bit of extra work. Am I missing something? I am currently using FME(R) 2022.2.6.0 (20230523 - Build 22800 - WIN64) , and up to now this method has always worked just fin
