Hello Hello,I would like to ask about Custom Transformers.I am a beginner and I am very confused. I have three questions.First question:When I input the value 345/1000 into a Custom Transformer attribute include field, it is automatically divided and get 0.345 as a result . I want to keep the value exactly as 345/1000.Even outside the Custom Transformer, the value is 345/1000. I understand that the Custom transformer is treating it as a number. I tried converting it to text before entering the Custom Transformer, but none of my attempts worked.@Text(@Value(attribute)) does not work.I also checked the shared parameter, and it is set as Text.and another issue if I have value 900 A , custom transformer read it as null .I do not know how to solve issuesSecond question:The Custom Transformer works correctly, but when I check the shared parameters, they all appear in red color in the Manage Parameters window. However, when I run the process, it reads the data and produces the correct output.

I have an existing process that processes versioned views from an ESRI SQL Server Geodatabase to another SQL Server Database creating SQL Spatial tables with a geometry column that I have reprojected to WGS84 Lat Long. Can I add a second geometry field to the SQL spatial tables and populate that column with Web Mercator geometry? I am trying to figure out a single workflow that would calculate both columns in the same table. Or am I restricted to calculating one geometry column at a time in separate processes?  

Need support in uploading the ZIP files to an FME Flow Resource folder first (via REST API v3 and v4), then pass the resource path as a parameter in the webhook call. The file uploads should accept both file formats zipped and unzipped (single gdb file or package files in a zip).

We have a distributed architecture of FME Flow 2025.1.2 using our own Tomcat deployment and we’re offloading our SSL via F5 into our private IP space. The issue we’re seeing is in the FME Flow REST API Gateway is the URL used in CURL/Request example URLs are http but should be https.We don’t believe its a CORS issue since we’re inside our domain. Where is FME Flow getting the CURL URL? Can we change it in a config file? Or is something else going on?

We recently upgraded to FME Flow 2025 but now all of our FME processes with SharePointOnlineConnectors are failing.We have to keep going into FME Flow Connections and Parameters>Web Connections and re-authorise the Microsoft SharePointOnline connection. Is there a way to keep it authorised?This is causing dozens of processes to fail daily because we keep having to re-authorise the connection.  I have been upgrading transformers and re-publishing the workbenches to FME Flow but wondered if this was an issue for anyone else and if there were any further suggestions.Thanks in advanceScott

We are preparing to upgrade to FME Form 2025.  I am running a job in the 2024 and 2025 version to compare the output.  I have found that in 2024 the FeatureReader didn’t reject any records, but now in 2025 some records are being rejected.  FME(R) 2024.1.3.0 (20240927 - Build 24627 - WIN64)FME(R) 2025.1.3.3 (20251104 - Build 25648 - WIN64)The rejected records say:fme_rejection_message    buffer    Coordinate system does not match first feature's coordinate systemfme_rejection_code    buffer    INVALID_GEOMETRY_COORDINATE_SYSTEM Any thoughts on why the records fail in 2025 but not 2024?I will continue working backwards to see what is unique about these records.

Hi there!I get tons of these messages from some workspaces created with FME 2020 (in Norway) and now  migrated to FME 2024: The Startup Python Script changed the current FME process locale from 'Norwegian Bokmål_Norway.utf8' to 'C' and FME has restored it back to 'Norwegian Bokmål_Norway.utf8'. It is undefined behavior to change locale and doing so may cause unexpected errors. I have nothing such as import arcpy or locale.setlocale() in my Python-code. The example message above is particulary strange, I don’t even have a Python Startup Script. Hi,I’d like to read a folder of documents and a set of points (say from a csv) and then join these together (filename of documents might match an attribute on the points), then write them all to an ArcGIS Online feature service with the documents as attachments.  I would ideally like to do this in one workspace and not have to hardcode anything.I don’t think this is possible without using one workspace to write the CSV to feature service, and then another to read it and add attachments using the ArcGISAttachmentCOnnector, as that requires the feature service URL, which may not be known at the time of creating the feature service.Thanks,Marc

When using the new ESRI ArcGis Feature Service I get this error when trying to write fme_aggregate geometry to AGOL: Python Exception <FMEException>: FMEException: 1: <class 'fmeobjects.FMEAggregate'> cannot be converted to esriGeometryPolylineWith the old writer I did not have this problem. Is there some solution for this? Deaggregating is not the solution i neede. The multi part geometry is only contaning lines. I have tried GeometryCoercer, but without effect. 

I try to find a text ending with a newline. Using the inbuilt regular expression editor (with the regex #! <DATASET\n) shows a result so the regex looks correct to me:StringSearcher unfortunately doesn’t find the line: (see attached workbench)Where are things going wrong?

Most efficient way to read folders of excel and constrain by a date range. each excel has the date field. Hi,I have a folder structure based on YEAR folders which contain MONTH folders which contain WEEK excel files. The WEEK excel files may contain date ranges which may go outside the month range of days.After reading all the necessary excels I  only want data of a whole month of days - e.g.  so all the days in January 2025 say.What would be the most efficient way to do this? For example there could be days at the start of January 2025 in the folder 2024, folder December.i’m not too familiar with where clause before and after and whether they would apply to excel data.Would inline sql be an efficient way?Or, as in my example, will I have to read in December 2024, January 2025 and  February 2025 before filtering to make sure i have all the days of January? Thanks for any advice.

Has anyone in the UK who is using the Ordnance Survey Maps API managed to get them added into FME for use as a background map.  I have tried and get nothing to display….Any advice welcome...

Hi,I have a very simple workbench that is cliping a gpkg containing mulitple layer. I am struggling with writinng them back to one gpkg using dynamic schema. it fails every single time  

I already have a support case open for this, but I’m curious if anybody else is having credential issues with the AzureFileStorageConnector (Azure Storage package 4.2.1)  in FME 2025?I’m getting the error message:  AzureFileStorageConnector: Connection 'xxx Azure Storage' does not exist. Check connection parameter and connection definitions in FME options and try again.Creating a new web connection does not solve this issue. 

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using FME 2022.2. If I pick an attribute from the arrow drop down menu, it inserts it in the DateTime Attributes field as @Value(CREATETIMESTAMP). When the transformer runs, it doesn't convert the value. But if I select the attribute from the 3 dots menu, it's fineIn the 3 dots menu chooser, there are sort of two sets of the attributes....

Hi,I am having difficulties using the revit styler. I am feeding it 50 point features which get their own individual rotation value. But when I check the objects in revit, the rotation is slightly off. Sometimes by 20 degrees sometimes more. When i compare the correct angle in revit and compare it to the value i have in FME, I can see that they are correct but something is happening either when I use the revit styler or the writer that messes upp the rotation. I am rotating around the axis x= 0, y=0, Z=1. Any ideas why it is behaving like that? Am i missing some setting somewhere? Thanks for all advice! 

Hey all, I currently have a workflow in place to pull a list of files from an SFTP server, download the latest file, and rename it with a .csv extension (the files do not have extensions by default).  This process works fine, my problem is when I try to pass this value onto the systemcaller transformer, it seems to just run the workspace in the systemcaller without reading the updated file, which is problematic. I am taking the _downloaded_file_path from the FTPCaller, and adding “.csv” to it, so that it reads the file. (There is a separate transformer which replaces the file with a file of the same name to add .csv). In the workspace logs, it looks like SystemCaller is interpreting this literally as Filename + ‘.csv’ and that file does not exist.  Code to run the workspace has this in it: -SourceDataset_CSV2_4 "@Value(_csv_path)" --FME_LAUNCH_VIEWER_APP "YES"  Couple of perhaps dumb questions… does the SourceDataset_CSV2_4 need to be changed to _1 or something? Hello everyone,I’m working on an FME workspace where I need to process multiple input files sequentially within the same workflow, and I want to make sure that each file is processed independently, without any data or state being kept in memory from the previous file.Conceptually, what I’m looking for is a way to flush or reset the internal state between files, so that:cached features, temporary aggregates, statistics, or in-memory objectsfrom a previously processed file do not affect the processing of the next one.ContextI’m looping over multiple files (using a file-based workflow, not separate workspaces). The workflow includes transformers that may keep internal state (e.g. aggregations, statistics, grouping, geometry operations). The goal is to guarantee deterministic, per-file processing, similar to a “clean run” for each file.My questionsIs there a native way in FME to explicitly flush / reset the internal state of a workspace between input files? Hello everyoneIn 2025.1 FME Form I can use the Civil 3d reader, to read extended data from a dwg file just fine. Within the reader I just have to make sure the option for  “Civil 3D and CAD entities” is on and leave the other settings as default.The challenge comes on writing extended data. I can write ‘object data’ just fine but I cannot figure out how to write ‘extended data’. The picture below shows where I want to be able to write data to within the Civil 3D interface, from FME. Any insights would be valuable.Thank you
