Hi All,I am currently working an automation process to convert XYZ files into LAS format for use in ArcGIS. I have successfully generated the point cloud and exported it to LAS; however, the classification information is not being retained.The custom classifications are based on codes contained in the original XYZ files as text, and these values are stored in a table, an example of which is shown below:  How can I convert the XYZ files to LAS while preserving the Feature attribute as the classification?Attached fmwt fileThanks :) 

This seems pretty basic so it’s probably a configuration that I’m missing, but I’m using FME Form v2025.1.1.0 and I have a half dozen Loggers set up to capture features that are repaired or failed in GeometryValidators that precede them.  When I run the workbench I have ‘Enable Record Counting’ set so I can see the counts going to the Loggers, but none of the messages I would expect are getting written to either the Translation Log window in FME Form nor to the log file on disk.  I’ve set the Navigator > Workspace Parameters > Log and Troubleshoot > Max Features to Log to -1 to log everything, and I’ve confirmed that the ‘Severity Level’ in each Logger is ‘Information’.  I’ve tried all 3 settings for ‘Feature Logging’ of ‘Log Only’, ‘Log and Record’ and ‘Message Only’ in various combinations of the Loggers and I’ve confirmed that the ‘Max Messages to Log’ for each Logger is larger than the number of features being routed to them. Is there any way possible to send an HTTP Response after receiving a webhook trigger in FME Flow Hosted Automations? I am attempting to set up an automation that runs in response to webhooks coming from Monday.com, however before I can start configuring the actual webhooks, monday.com requires verification that I have control of the endpoint. I need to do this by having the platform send a JSON challenge to the endpoint URL, which must then be responded to with an identical JSON POST body. I believe it must also be returned with a status of 200. Documentation on setting up monday.com webhooks here. I have tried to accomplish this by adding a workspace after the webhook trigger to pull the IP address that the challenge request was sent from from the HTTP headers, and then using an HTTPCaller to send a POST request with the JSON challenge body to that IP address, but this is not working - the request just times out.

Hi there,In Esri ArcGIS Connector safe.esri-agol version 3.17.0 a number of changes were made to the way the Esri writer handles global IDs.  Some of these changes resulted in previously published workspaces no longer functioning after the package on Flow was updated.This is an admin nightmare, as unless we prevent all publishers from uploading packages, we cannot prevent them from deploying a new version of a package that may break existing workflows.I have two suggestions:Please put the latest changes of the package at the top of the description in the FME Form Dialog box. Currently the user has to click a link to go to the item in the Hub and then find the version in the History. Please clearly indicate any changes that are more than bug fixes, and that may impact previously published workspaces.Thanks,Marc

Hello,My team has developed a workspace for data collection of publicly available GIS-data. The workspace uses HTTP-callers to download the data from different URL:s, and then the data is clipped from a predefined area of interest. The schemas and the features area separated and the rejoined later in the workspace. The output is written to an ESRI Geodatabase. Everything is working fine using FME Flow 2023.2.2.0 - Build 23781, but when I tried upgrading to FME 2025, I get an error:“Esri Geodatabase Writer: Feature Type Definition 'd_y_n' was requested, but not defined. Please visit https://www.safe.com/support”Does anyone have any insights into this issue?Thanks in advance /Ville

Good afternoon fellow FME enthousiasts,I'm struggling with the following. I'm trying to set up the System Email settings on our FME Flow to allow users to request a password reset. It all seems pretty straightforward but can't get it to work. Maybe i'm missing something though (it is friday afternoon after all). I've set it up as follows: But when i validate it I get the error:“Due to a configuration change made by your administrator or because you moved to a new location you must use multi factor authentication to access…...” Emails through emailers in workspaces ran on flow work like a charm, but this one keeps evading me. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I am using projectwise wgs connector to upload a file into pw. I was wondering if their a way to uprev the version metadata attribute within pw. When the file is uploaded to pw.

I’m working in an FME Form workbench reading in CSV files that reflect database updates and then using them to update a central XLSX file. However, when the CSV reader is pulling in a column with values of either ‘TRUE’ or ‘FALSE’, it is automatically converting them to ‘true’ or ‘false’.Has anyone ever noticed this with a CSV reader?Unfortunately the domain I am describing with this data has capitalized values, so reporting the codes as lower case somewhat defeats the purpose. I know the parameter for Case Sensitive Field Names would resolve the issue if i were seeing this in the attribute names but unfortunately i haven’t been able to find a similar parameter for the data itself.Is this just an inherent setting to the CSV reader format?

I am in the process of moving my FME Desktop 2021 workspaces into FME Form 2025. I know I can open the FME 2021 workspaces in FME Form 2025. As I get farther along in this process, is there anything I need to be aware of? example, is it best to just rebuild my FME 2021 workspaces in FME Form 2025 instead of just opening and saving the FME 2021 workspaces in FME Form 2025?I have run a few FME 2021 workspaces in FME Form 2025 with no issues. But wanted to reach out to the FME community to see what their experience has been in bringing in older FME workspaces into new versions of FME.

Hi everyone,after using IF clauses in my workspace, I started getting this warning that immediately terminates my translation.Could not load module 'C:\Program Files\FME\plugins\if_func.dll' : 'The specified module could not be found'. I tried reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributables for both x64 and x86  as I saw here on another thread, but that didn’t work. Is there any other solution? Thanks in advance.

Hi , I am working a lot of the DWG files and I had somebody did the work. So when I  received the DWG files and review them.  I have ArcGIS Pro and I looked at them and I was not sure about the  coordinate system there… so I pulled the file in FME Data Inspector and found them that they are not in the right place I am in Colorado…Question first is : What does the red symbol mean here ?Black square with blue point is where the DWG is. The record information shows the coordinate system is Unknown.

Hi everyone,I’m struggling with a limitation in the Excel Reader and I’m hoping someone has a reliable workaround for a fully dynamic workflow.I have an automated FME Flow workspace where multiple users upload Excel files through an FME Flow App. These files contain yearly planning data for different teams. The challenge is that users will sometimes rename existing columns and sometimes add completely new columns to the Excel sheet.Even when I configure the Excel Reader with Dynamic Schema by using Single merged feature type, FME does not refresh the schema at runtime. It only updates the schema if I manually right click the reader in the Navigator pane and click Update reader. Simply running the workspace does not trigger a schema rescan.I have tested using CSV instead of Excel but the schema still remains locked to whatever was detected when the reader was first added. As a result, any renamed columns or newly added columns are ignored unless I manually refresh the reader.Is this a k

I have a source SDE Geodatabase reader and destination File Geodatabase writer, both with the exact same attributed relationship classe schemas. The File Geodatabase being written to is blank (I’m using a template) and I don’t need to re-establish any relationships, I want to write the records exactly as they appear in the SDE Geodatabase, to the File Geodatabase. I’ve read in feature types using Ignore relationships, making them type geodb_table, and the destination feature types are also geodb_table (though obviously both are in fact attributed relationship classes).FME (2024.1.1.1) seems to want to recognize the writer feature types as relationship classes, no matter how I define them. I don’t want to have to establish the whole geodb_rel_origin_oid and geodb_rel_destination_oid values since I know what they should be already from the source (and there is no common attribute between the two source relationship class tables anyways). I am working on a project creating building footprints from a lidar point cloud. However, the original lidar point cloud being used has some portions of buildings classified with “unassigned” values which has created incomplete building footprints. Are there any suggestions how I could identify these “unassigned” building values to fix the building footprint?

Is there a way of Auto switching Parameter between Form vs Flow?ie Local while working on FME From (C:\FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA) vs FME Flow($FME_SHARERESOURCE_DATA)Workspace Locally with FME Form is add “C:\FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA” to the FME Flow Parameters to test and work on the solution. When I upload the Workspace to FME Flow I always need to remember to remove the local value for everything to work.  I forgotten a couple of time and wondering if Deployment Parameters is the solution?  

If someone chooses to use FME Flow for Connection Storage in FME Form, how does it work when the FME Flow connection is changed from one environment to another?Do the connections automatically switch to those defined in the second environment, or does the Connection Storage need to be updated each time?Will the Deployment Parameters follow the change?

Hi - I’m trying to write small areas of map data from a Geodatabase as a DWG / DXF file.The spatial data is available when I open the exported file, but none of the attributes, only a single column called <no schema>:I’m wanting to include the following attributes: but I have tried countless variations of the available Writers:I just can’t get around the <no schema> issue.Is it actually possible to include attributes within a DWG / DXF Writer?If anyone can offer some step by step guidance, I’d be most grateful.Cheers :)FME(R) 2023.1.1.0 (20230928 - Build 23631 - WIN64)

Hi,I have a dgn file created from OpenBuildings. Within OpenBuildings you can see attributes attached. However, they only seem to show in OpenBuildings not Microsation or FME (i.e they are not tags or xrecords). Therefore, the attribute data must not be stored as tags or xrecords. Does anyone know how attribute data is stored within OpenBuildings application and how fme can read them? Ta

HiWe are currently using FME Server 2021.2.1 on one of our servers, and we have identified a security vulnerability in this version. We would like to know if there are any available patches to resolve this issue. Please note that our ArcGIS Enterprise version is 10.9.1. We are concerned that upgrading FME Server to a newer version may cause compatibility issues with our current ArcGIS environment. Could someone please advise on the best way to solve this issue?

My workbench tries to read features from ArcGIS Online feature services, write them to a different database and, if successful, delete them from their ArcGIS Online feature service. I’ trying to use as few feature writers as possible, so I use attributes to descern feature services and their layers. Most feature services contain only one layer, but the name of the layer can be different from the name of the feature service.I can get the name of the layer from the format attribute “fme_feature_type” and use that for the “Layer Name” in the Feature Writer parameters: But in the “Writer” group (button: “Parameters...”) I also want to use an attribute for the parameter “Selected Feature Service”. Is it possible to get the name of the feature service from the reader?

Dear community,I am currently working on FME Workbench 2025.0. My project take into entry areas in 3D that represent buildings roofs. It then spreads the data into two datasets: roofs and building using the latest ground footprint. In order to do that, I am using the 'Dissolver' Transformer with the Group Processing option on. My issue is that some of the edges inside the building are remaining because they do no fit on the Z axis (see screenshots below). Dissolver operation: purple edges are classified as ‘Remanents’ after the operation, red one remain.Result of Dissolver : on a 2D perspective, internal edges are remaining.For better context: the result of the Dissolver from another perspective in 3D.I tried to flatten the surfaces before proceeding to disolving the objects (these objects corresponding to 'Building' will be flattened at some point of the workbench anyway), but still the same edges are remaining. Thank you for your help.

I currently have the older Esri ArcGIS Online web connector and the new one configured. FME 2025.1.3.When I try to create a new background map, I only see the older web connection as an options for Esri AGOL maps.
