Since upgrading from FME Flow 2025.2 to 2026.2, we are seeing a recurring authentication problem with our Workspace Apps. When a user opens or reloads an app, a native browser Basic Authentication popup appears intermittently, roughly every second or third load. Because we use SAML, our users have no local username or password to enter and are forced to click Cancel every time. After cancelling, the app works normally, but the repeated prompt is disruptive for end users.Our setup: FME Flow runs under HTTP behind an IIS reverse proxy (Application Request Routing) that enforces HTTPS. Authentication is handled through SAML with Azure AD as the identity provider using SP initiated login. On IIS, only Anonymous Authentication is enabled while Windows and Basic Authentication are disabled, and the SAML base URL is correctly configured.Using the browser developer tools, I captured the exact request that returns the 401. We are working through the setup of a service user for a project, intended to only be able to create and run its own Data Virtualization APIs and nothing else.  The aim is to avoid excessive permissions. I have been searching for a list of recommended or minimum permissions but have not yet established that, so I’m putting the question out here.We have granted:Create/manage for data virtualization Run jobs Access Resources/DataWe’re looking into other permissions.We’ll work through it but I am definitely thinking that documentation of this would be handy from the Safe point of view to save time, if possible.  Possibly as an addition to https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/articles/36098228739469-Secure-Data-Virtualization-Endpoints-with-Authentication 

Quick question; if I want to use a token to authenticate my Data Virtualization, rather than a FME Flow user, I need to build it myself, correct? (and then do that for all endpoints of course)

Hi there,I am importing connections from an older deployment of FME Flow into Form, in order to publish to a new FME Flow. When I do so their names are locked to whatever they were named before.  These names do not confirm to our new naming convention.  It would be helpful to be able to rename Web and DB connections in Form. I understand this would possibly break workspaces referencing this, but this is a risk I am willing to take.

I'd like to read a DGN file, which contains a terrain model. In version 2025.1.2 it is being read as igds_polygon_collection. The fme_Geometry is “fme_undifined” and the fme_type is “fme_no_geom”.When using a Civil 3D file, it can read a surface model, which is the same principle as the terrain model in a DGN. The terrain model is created in OpenRoads.Or is another option available to read the terrain model directly from a DGN file without converting it to another fileformat or element type?  

Hi everyone,After upgrading our FME Flow instance from 2025.2 to 2026.2, a workspace parameter with dynamic values stopped working in a Workspace App.When opening the app, FME Flow shows the following error when testing the dynamic parameters:Loading from WorkspaceKartenautomatisierungen/Kartenautomatisierung_ZUBA_PreScript_2.fmwError loading schemaUnable to generate dynamic parameters from source file.Error was:E:\appdata\fme\systemshare\resources\system\null\null\FeatureWriter\ZUBA.jsonPlease ensure the file exists and is readable. A few observations:The same setup worked without issues in FME Flow 2025.2. The workspace itself executes successfully. It loads the JSON after the workspace is done.  The error only occurs while loading the dynamic workspace parameter. The path contains system\null\null\FeatureWriter\ZUBA.json, and the corresponding folders do not exist. I never configured FME to write schema files to that location.Has anyone seen a similar issue after upgrading to 2026.2

We're using the TrimbleUnityConnector in FME Workbench 2026.2 and have noticed that when creating a new activity, the connector displays template options for items such as inspections. However, no Work Order Template options are available.As a workaround, we've been passing the Work Order Template ID as an attribute, which works, but we'd expected the templates to be selectable in the connector like the other activity types.Has anyone else experienced this behavior, or is there additional configuration required to expose the Work Order Template options?Here is inspections for comparison 

In a process that deals with GPS messages that are received every 15 minutes, I have two User Parameters that set a Start- and an End date, in order to prevent having to process a couple of million rows from the database every time. These are configured as DateTime parameters, with the Datetime Format set to Date only.The GPS Fix time is copied to a new attribute while converting to a Date, using a DateTimeConvertor. Format selected is FME date (%Y%m%d). If I then use a Tester to check whether the GPS fix time falls between the start- and end date (with Comparison Mode set to Date/Time), they all fail, because the parameters value is 2026-01-01, while the attributes value is 20260101. So the Tester’s comparisonDate >= $(StartDate)(where Date is the by DateTimeConvertor created attribute) does not work anymore, since our upgrade to 2026.1.2. Hi,I have a dynamic feuture writer which writes tables from my PostGreSQL/PostGIS database to a geopackage. Some of the source tables are with no geometry and some are with. This is why I have two readers, one for Posgresql and one for PostGIS. I write all the tables dynamicly to the geopackage with a FeatureWriter and have set the geometry type to read from schema definition. In the resulting geopackage I see the table which should not have a geometry with a geom attribute with all null values. The table gpkg_contents has a data_type features instead of attributes. When I try the same with a manual definition it works fine.QGIS does not seem to have any problems with the geopackage that has the wrong definition, but ArcGIS Pro has. How can i get the dynamic writer to write correct to the geopackage? Or is this a bug or a works as designed? I run FME 2023, but also tried it with FME 2025.Thank you all

Hi team,I’ve noticed a bug within FME 2024.2.1 (Build 24801)… When I’m building out a workspace and reference a Password Deployment Parameter in a reader. If I edit that or any other Reader or Writer under the Navigator (i.e. Right Click, Update Reader, make changes and click OK), it will drop the Password Deployment Parameter, anywhere they are referenced.Text based Deployment parameters remain, but it just drops the Password based Deployment Parameters. Has anyone else seen this issue? Once they’re all set and we publish, it seems to retain them, but it’s only after we update the Reader and Feature Types.

Hi team,In my workbench, I'm snapping line endpoints to the device X,Y.To do this, I stored the point's X,Y in the line's attributes and used the VertexCreator transformer with "Replace point at vertex" set to −1 (the end point), passing in the device's X,Y.This moves the line's end point to the device's X,Y as expected, but it also changes the line's start point to what was previously the line's end point.To avoid this, I tried using VertexRemover to remove the end point, then VertexCreator with "Add point at vertex" set to −1, again passing in the device's X,Y. With this approach, the line's start and end points end up swapped.I need the start and end point order preserved as-is, since that order is used for terminal assignments in the Utility Network. Someone please suggest a solution for this? ​@redgeographics  ​@radek.cervenka  ​@hkingsbury

I’m using FME Form 2026.2. I have date and time strings that I need to convert into a date field in ArcGIS Online. It seems like this should be easy, but I can’t get it to work. What format does ArcGIS require to create a date field.I create a new datetime attribute then write it to a AGOL Feature Service. The field is created in AGOL, but the value are null.@ParseDateTime(@Value(LocationDate) @Value(LocationTime), %m/%d/%Y %H:%M,repair) In ArcGIS Online all values are null. I attached an FME workspace and CSV file to reproduce the issue. I searched for documentation and forum posts. I think that I’m missing something simple.I must have a date field in AGOL because I’m creating a dashboard and need to filter dates.

Hi all.I just created a new custom transformer, and need to apply it multiple times (10-20 times).It basically just has a name and three parameters, all of which can be deduced from a database query.So I thought it to be a good idea to create and paste the definitions from a query result (using some sql magic). Instead of copy/pasting the many transformers as I would normally, editing each by hand.So I experimented at bit first.I can copy a transformer from FME Form, and paste it right back. I can also paste the definition into a text editor, as the copied content is just text (FME file syntax).But when I just copy the complete transformer (without changes) back from the text editor (Ctrl-A,Ctrl-C), FME Form will not paste it into the workspace.I used Ditto clipboard to look for differencies, and I can barely find any. Hello,I have a mesh model in 3D Tiles (JSON tileset) format. I can open it in Bentley Descartes, but the performance is very slow due to the model size. I would like to use the JSON Fragmenter transformer in FME to split the mesh according to polygons/areas that I have created. After splitting, I want to export each clipped section again as a separate 3D Tiles (JSON tileset) dataset.However, I have not been able to achieve this workflow successfully. Could you please help me understand the correct process for clipping and exporting a 3D Tiles mesh by predefined boundaries in FME?Any guidance, example workflow, or recommended transformers would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Since a few days two of my FME hub transformers return the error below. I think it mentions that it is not possible to create a folder any more using the TempPathnameCreator. This might be resolved by updating the transformer to the latest version, but this also means that the transformers on FME hub cannot be used on old(er) versions any more. In another recent ticket in contact with Safe, I experienced something similar. Because of the security-changes for Flow several workspaces do not work any more. So I'm pretty sure many people will have similar issues. If I have an MS SQL Writer that I have disabled for whatever reason, all the features in the workspace turn grey. Perfect, is a very good indication that it is disabled. However: if I import another table, that writer is added to the Main canvas and to the Navigator in full color!Which caused me quite a bit of head scratching this morning: why was nothing written to the database? It seems to me that this is a bug in FME Form (FME(R) 2026.1.2.0 (20260512 - Build 26124 - WIN64), but maybe I am overlooking/overthinking something…To reproduce: Add an MS SQL Server Writer, use Import from Dataset to select a table. Right-click on the Writer in the Navigator, and select Disable [writer_name]. Table on the canvas turns grey, as it should. From the menu select Build - Writers - Import Feature Types. Select another table, click OK. Now I see one grey table and one in full color… 

Like the title says, whenever I try to publish a workspace with a sharepoint connector webservice to fme flow, I get below message. I have no problem writing to the same repository if I don't have sharepoint connector webservice in my workspace. Moreover I have no problem using the sharepoint connector webservice local on my fme form. Does anyone might have ideas why I get this error when trying to publish the sharepoint connector webservice to fme flow? 

I've got a few challenges concerning styling of an excelsheet. It's not just an ordinary sheet with columns and rows, but it's a reporting template. The report contains several attributes in different fields and several images. The issues/challenges I'm currently facing:I would like images to fit itself into a named range or predefined rows and columns. See screenshot below. I created a predefined named range ‘overzichtskaart’ which covers cells $C$4:$E$16. But as far as I can see there is no option to let FME/Excel know that the image should stay in those cells. I created a workaround now which tells the image that it should align in xlsx_row_id 4 and xlsx_col_id2 with a height and with of 255 pixels. But this goes wrong as soon as the alignment of the attributes changes (for example multirow text in column B). Does anyone have a smart work-around to fit the image exactly in the desired cells? Named ranges are useful to make sure that the attribute-data ends up in the right cell, but

Hello,Last night a forced .NET framework update disrupted a huge AutoCAD based translation.Now today, even after an uninstall and reinstall of FME, the workbenches i build are painfully slow and i ultimately cancel any processing because initiating translations just takes so much longer than it did yesterday.When i try and place an AutoCAD reader onto my Canvas, i get a message of ‘Trying to find a DYNAMIC plugin for reader named ‘ACAD’’. Ultimately the reader loads, but it is significantly slower than it was yesterday.The readers and transformers i place on the canvas are also extremely slow and when i try and run the workbench, the ‘Trying to find a DYNAMIC plugin for reader named ‘ACAD’ appears for a considerable amount of time again before eventually doing what i’ve asked. Has anyone experienced this issue before and know the root cause? Thank you in advance!

Hi all, When sending a test request with a HTTPCaller, the Test Response Preview shows the response. When you close this window and reopen it later after closing and re-opening the workspace (even on another date) this response is still there (cached?). Depending on the URL used, this can lead to an unreasonably large workspace file. Is this an intended feature, or an oversight that can slow down workspace performance if a user isn’t aware of this?If there is a benefit to being able to revisit this test response at a later date, maybe it’s a good idea to be able to enable/disable this feature entirely.  Good Evening! I have a problem i would like to share with this amazing community and i hope ill get an answer that solves it. I am writing data to an Microsoft Excel file. I use the feature writer to dynamically write 3 datasets to Excel. The normal Microsoft Excel writer does this without a problem. Now i want to do it with an Feature Writer set to Microsoft Excel, but when i run the feature writer with, i believe, the same settings as the Excel writer, it results in a fatal error, where it states FME daemon is shutting down. Can anyone help me? I am trying to make a workspace that generates information reports, but the featureReader give me unexpected output. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it gives me "stale caches”, where it should work. I am trying to let the user choose which attributes to expose by using a UserParameter, so they can choose what information attributes they want to use or not, but it gives me weird results.  If i run it, it might do it and give me the required information, but if i run it another time, with other attributes selected to expose, it gives me the result that was asked before. Or, if i run it again with the same configuration it gives me the "stale or incomplete cached data”. since Users can select multiple layers out of the 500 we have, i think i have to use the generic port, and let the users choose what attributes they want, because they dont need everything and their needs change from time to time. How do i change this process so that it will be reliable? That my users can get any attribu
