I have developed an ArcPy script that requires an ArcGIS Pro Advanced license to execute successfully. I would like to run this script through FME Flow as part of an automated workflow. However, I am unsure how ArcGIS licensing works when the script is executed on the FME Flow engine and whether the ArcGIS Pro Advanced license available to me can be leveraged by FME Flow. I need guidance on the required configuration, licensing prerequisites, and the recommended approach for integrating and executing ArcPy scripts within FME Flow.

Hello,Last night a forced .NET framework update disrupted a huge AutoCAD based translation. Now today, even after an uninstall and reinstall of FME, the workbenches i build are painfully slow and i ultimately cancel any processing because initiating translations just takes so much longer than it did yesterday. When i try and place an AutoCAD reader onto my Canvas, i get a message of βTrying to find a DYNAMIC plugin for reader named βACADββ. Ultimately the reader loads, but it is significantly slower than it was yesterday. The readers and transformers i place on the canvas are also extremely slow and when i try and run the workbench, the βTrying to find a DYNAMIC plugin for reader named βACADβ appears for a considerable amount of time again before eventually doing what iβve asked.Β Has anyone experienced this issue before and know the root cause?Β Thank you in advance!
I have already built a workbench to go from DWG to our SDE however it requires standardization and some policy change for us. So it got me thinking if IΒ could use Gemini (or any AI connector) to infer the correct layer from any given Β asbuilt and extract the needed fields from it. different contractors name their stormwater layers completely different and its a pain.I haven't seen anyone post about it but i could have missed something.

I am experiencing an issue when inserting values into a subtype field in an ArcGIS Geodatabase using FME.I am attempting to populate the typeΒ field, which is configured as the Subtype Code field. However, FME returns the following error:Β 2026-07-23 12:10:18| Β 0.7| Β 0.0|ERROR |An error occurred while attempting to add the subtypes to the table/feature class 'lcLandcoverUnitInfo'. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147219885'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {An expected Field was not found or could not be retrieved properly. [lcLandcoverUnitInfo]}Β What makes this even more confusing is that I am using the same workflow in the same workspace for other tables, where the subtype values are inserted successfully without any issues.I have also verified the following:The field has the same data type. The field name is identical. The subtype code exists in the geodatabase. I refreshed/updated the geodatabase schema in FME to ensure it matches the latest changes.Despite all of these
Hello,I have a mesh model in 3D Tiles (JSON tileset) format. I can open it in Bentley Descartes, but the performance is very slow due to the model size. I would like to use the JSON Fragmenter transformer in FME to split the mesh according to polygons/areas that I have created. After splitting, I want to export each clipped section again as a separate 3D Tiles (JSON tileset) dataset. However, I have not been able to achieve this workflow successfully. Could you please help me understand the correct process for clipping and exporting a 3D Tiles mesh by predefined boundaries in FME?Any guidance, example workflow, or recommended transformers would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Good afternoon all,Β Rather embarrassing first post but after many years of workspace creation I seem to have locked myself out of my own work.Β A few weeks ago I hadΒ added a workspace parameter password to a locally stored workspace, wrote down said password and now that I have come back to this work, it doesnβt appear to like the password I saved off.Β Is it possible to recover this access or is it a goner that I will need to rebuild?Β Β Many thanks,Β Sarah JaneΒ
Welcome to this week's blog spotlight: Turning FME Workspaces into MCP Tools: Connecting ArcGIS to AI. If you've been wondering how your existing FME workspaces could plug into AI agents without a rebuild, this one lays out the whole path. Why This MattersThe blog reframes MCP as more than an AI feature: it's a general-purpose integration layer. Connect a data source or workflow once, and every MCP-capable client, whether that's a chat assistant, an app, or another system entirely, can use it. For FME users, that means years of accumulated workflows don't need to be rebuilt to become AI-ready; they just need to be exposed.Inside the BlogThe post walks through turning a municipal sidewalk-repair workflow into a live AI tool, then scales up to multi-tool, agent-driven workflows. A few highlights:Any FME workspace can become an MCP tool in three steps: swap the terminal step for an MCP writer, publish to FME Flow, and register it with clear parameter descriptions. The tool's description is
