How do I add alias names to a table. I have a lookup csv file and a table with over 180 columns so don't want to add them in manually. I just don't know how to get the alias names into my table

ContourGenerator, getting flat contours along the edges.

Running the contour generator on a USGS LAS dataset, I filter for ground points, then generate contours. Once this is done along the edge of the las file the contours draw to each other, like there is a straight vertical wall along the edge. Please see red circle attached. Also does not matter if I change my tolerance on the contour generator. Tried at 1 and 100. Same resultMy transformerslas--> point cloud filter-->contour generator--> line combiner

I use a custom transformer with two inputs, 1 per table.In my custom transformer i have 2 published parameters to get the attribute of:table A - Fieldtable B - Field But both parameters return globales listes of fieldsIt's possible to isolate the fields list for each table on it specific parameter

Defining dataframe at Python Caller

Hi there, I am defining a data frame at Python caller on __init__ function like below: class FeatureProcessor(object): def __init__(self): df2 = pandas.DataFrame(columns= ['INCIDENT_DATE',INCIDENT_MINS','INCIDENT_VALUE']) later in the program at input function I am storing feature attribute value in data frame something like that: def input(self,feature): self.pyoutput(feature) df2['INCIDENT_DATE'] = feature.getAttribute('DATE') df2['INCIDENT_MINS'] = feature.getAttribute('MINS') df2['INCIDENT_VALUE'] = feature.getAttribute('VALUE_LOST') However, when I ran the Python caller block, it throws an error message that df2 is not defined at the input block. Could anyone point out where am I making the mistake?

Calculate value base on another field with published parameters

I have a problem to calculate value when use field name has a published parametes. All values are <missing> This is my parameter I check i with AttributeManager and attributeCreator and I have same result. I have set Attribute value with that : @Value($(Table_A_AttributeName))

Drop and Rebuild Indexes when writing to ESRI Geodatabase

Hi I am writing millions of line features to an various feature classes in an ESRI SDE Geodatabase 10.0. Are there any best practices for improving the performance in writing.I am writing to a non versioned db, which is being used constantly.I have increased the transaction to 10000. And Set Transaction type to null. Is there a way to set the writer in load-only mode for the GEODATABASE_SDE?

Assigning CAD annotations as attribute values to features

I need to relate text values (annotations) to lines. In the example bellow, there are 3 lines and 2 annotations. The longest line (two segments) should get value "PEd100" and the other one should get PE32. Annotations aren't related to lines by common attribute, just placed near the lines.In this case both geometry and annotations are on the same layer, but it's not always the case. Any ideas?

FME server secure Active Directory connection error

ExcelStyler not working when too much features

Hello there!I was creating a report from a database and I had the idea to pimp my report with the ExcelStyler, to impress some colleagues. I realized very fast that when I put a conditional value on Background Color or Font, I can't write without an error into an Excel file when I have too much features. I can click yes, but I don't get any color/font, the ExcelStyler hasn't worked.To explain the problem I created a workspace I attached . I put a conditional value on an attribute and I write it into Excel. I added a Sampler because as you'll see, when I write exactly 21809 features it's working, but higher than that, it's not, I get the error. Am I doing something wrong?I'm using FME 2018.1. Thanks.

ExcelStyler adds 2 hours to run time and 30 Mb to output! What am I doing wrong?!

FME Desktop 2019 2.3.3 (64-bit).I'm making my first foray into using FME to format an Excel spreadsheet I'm writing. The output is the results of address matching. I want to highlight cells based on how good the match was. My first attempt was to assign a hex colour value e.g. #ffff00 to fme_fill_color then expose it as a format attribute in the Writer. This did nothing so I researched it and found the ExcelStyler.Implementing this has slowed my Workspace down from 4 minutes to nearly 2.5 hours, and when I try to open the output XLSX, it says it's corrupt. Also, the XLSX jumps from 5Mb to 37Mb in size. I presume I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help?The first thing I do is set a colour value based on the match status/score: Then I set that as the background colour in the ExcelStyler (red in this screenshot because I've disconnected it): Even after reading the documentation, I'm confused about Background Color and Pattern Color. Should I set one or the other

Error running translation when writing to a database

I am converting over 1.5 million links and writing them to a database. This workbench has worked for me previously with roughly the same amount of data. Since updating to FME 2019 I am now getting an "Error running translation" with nothing to really go on. U-turns in ShortestPathFinder

Is it possible, using the ShortestPathFinder transformer, to only allow U-turns at dead-ends /cul-de-sacs only and NOT in the middle of a road segment? When testing out a workspace I have, I am seeing several U-turns in the resulting shortest path that occur in the middle of a road segment - which I want to avoid. I want to only allow U-turns at dead-ends / cul-de-sacs.

How to create attributes from JSON arrays?

Hi - I'm trying to create individual records with attributes from a JSON response from an API. I've been able to call the API using the HTTP Caller and have tried using a JSON Fragmenter to extract attributes. I don't seem able to get attributes from this but as shown in the attached there are a number of attributes in one of the returned rows. This looks as if it is a list called 'array' (there are 49 members in the 'list' which is as expected). I'd have thought I could use a List Exploder but this transformer doesn't pick up any list attributes. I'd really appreciate any advice on how I might explode this structure in to individual rows with attributes. Thanks and all the best. Matt

FeatureWriter using MITAB outputs incorrect CRS when incoming features are set to "LL-GDA2020_FME"

Using FME version 2019.2.3.1 it appears that if the MITAB writer format is selected within a FeatureWriter that non-standard CRS's default to an arbitrary "LL" CRS based on WGS84.When tested not using the FeatureWriter this doesn't appear to occur. The FeatureWriter does not allow setting of output Coord. System from an attribute therefore I am required to rely on "Same as source". I do have a MITAB workspace resource but again I cannot set the Coord. System as a Parameter and only as an Attribute in my use case.Is this a limitation on the FeatureWriter or on the MITAB writer and MapInfo format itself when it comes to very new Projections?

FMEException :896902 while initializing fmeobjects.FMEWorkspaceRunner() using ArcGIS 10.7 64 bit python.

I have ArcGIS 10.7 64 bit Python, FME 2019 and using FME Python27 fmeobjects. I have added fmeobjects.pyd under Arcgis Python 64 bit->Lib->sitepackages. Also, in the script i'm appending the fmeobjects path like below,sys.path.append(r"D:\\ProgramFiles\\FME\\Desktop\\fmeobjects\\python27") and then using import fmeobjects. But, when I try to initialize runner = fmeobjects.FMEWorkspaceRunner() I get FMEException:896902. Not sure what the mistake is. Please give suggestions.

Running workspace from python

I'm attempting to run a workbench from a python script:import syssys.path.append(r'C:\Program Files (x86)\FME_2019.1.1\fmeobjects\python27') import fmeobjectsrunner = fmeobjects.FMEWorkspaceRunner() workspace = r'E:\TFS\GeospatialA\Maritime\Misc_Tools\ESRI_INIT\fmw\gdb_notes_extract.fmw' runner.promptRun(workspace)I do get the prompts to input paramaters as expected. After clicking OK to run the workbench, I immediately get the error as seen in the attachment. I can't seem to find any details about what might be causing this. The workbench simply reads in a file geodatabase, does some relations, and output a new geodatabase. Any ideas?

How to fill a hole in a raster DEM

I'm trying to replace part of a raster DEM so I cut a hole in it and created a few points in a shapefile to define new heights in the hole - I want to interpolate across the hole to these new heights keeping everything else the same. I'm using RasterDEMGenerator but the hole is filled with elevation=0 except for tiny spikes where my control points are
