FME Form

Hi together We have a problem by writing mulriple cable data into a fgdb. The process runs once per cable and writes their information into a fgdb, the process is repeated for each cable, stored in a csv list. Now we have the problem, that the next cable in the list is overwriting the previous one in the fgdb, instead of getting appended. We assume, that the problem lies in the writer configuration, but we don’t find a solution to our problem. Is it possible to append data to existing data in a fgdb or do you have any ideas (like Python skripts, other transformers that could append the data of each run etc...)? Thanks for your support

Helly everyone,I am working with data that consists of abrreviations/code items that are strung together in a single field which I am trying to convert to full text. For that I am using a string pair replacer which contains thousands of mapping pairs, but I have encountered a problem which I can’t seem to solve without knowing how exactly the String Pair replacer does its thing. The problem arises when multiple codes share letters. Here`s an example: I have the following pairs somewhere in my replacement pair string**gn green**bn browng gravelF mudSo F:**bn**gn should map to Mud:browngreen but whats happening is this: M:brown**gravelr.I figured that the transformer probably checks its list from start to finish and ordered my list by string length in hopes it would transform longer strings first. We recently updated to 2024.1 (FME Form and Flow).We have some jobs, that run daily on FME Flow, that read features from an Oracle-db and write to a PostGIS-DB.I downloaded one of the workspaces to FME Form to change something. But in FMEForm I cannot connect to the Oracel-DB anymore. I get this error:Error connecting to Oracle database: message was `OCI_INVALID_HANDLE'. (serverType=`ORACLE_NONSPATIAL', serverName=`xy', userName=`xy', password=`***', dbname=`')I uploaded the workspace again to FME Flow and there it ran successfully.Any ideas, what could be the problem? Not sure why this is possible, but in the FGDB Writer it is possible to create a coded domain into unlimited coded domain.No idea what is the point of being able to do this, because in ArcGIS this is not supported at all. Well, maybe there is something new I missed from ESRI. But yet I can’t see in ArcGIS Pro the SECOND_CD I created.Anyone could tell me what is the purpose of doing this ? What am I missing?I’m on FME 2024.1.Thanks!

Hi,I have a workspace that uses some RasterToPolygonCoercer, but the performance is very low.I need to improve the performance. I'm trying to convert some clouds detected in my raster image into polygons.How can I improve that? Thank´s   

I am new to FME Workbench and I am using the latest 2024.1 version.When I tested to add CSV to ESRI ArcGIS Portal as a new point feature layer, it succeeded to create a new feature service in portal but failed to insert CSV data into the newly created feature service with following error message: “ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: UPSERT failed for feature service 'Sample_Test': Append job failure: 'Operation rolled back.'”Then I have to re-run my workbench again, and this time it will insert all CSV data into the portal feature service without any issue.BTW, I am using “Create If Needed” as Feature Service Handling parameter.Could someone help me out to make this workbench adding CSV data to ArcGIS Portal in one process? Thanks.

Hi,  I have an excel spread sheet that i have to read and load into a database table. The structure of the excel sheet is different from that on the database. Sample screen shot of the excel spread sheet is seen below. Columns J-S are county names, and the values associated with it are the cost for each county.I need the 10 county column names loaded as values into COUNTY_CD column in the database and its associated county cost value loaded into database column COST_PER_SQFT. So, for every row in the excel spread sheet I will have 10 rows in the database and each row represents data for each county. The database columns and the values to be loaded should like below

So, in the context of pipelines we run camera inspections registering different damages and features along the pipeline. We have registered pipelines by ID in a larger gis database. I already have a script running that reads the information and returns all the registerd freatures in the camera inspections and draws it in a arcgis. The issue is that sometimes the lines have bends even with the same ID. making it hard to create new points at the specified distance. So what i need is something that creates a point at a specific length from the starting point ID, that takes into account the geometric changes of the line.   in the example picture under, i want to draw a point at the POI. I have the distance(70m) from start. But there does not seem to be obvious functionality for this in FME. Any ideas?

HiI have a DGNv8 3D CAD drawing of a bridge i want to load into FME since i have been tasked with converting it to a different format.The issue is that not all parts of the bridge loads/reads properly, most notably the deck of the bridge is missing. Most of the bridge is drawn using smart solids.Here is the bridge in MicrostationHere is the bridge in FME. Hello,I have a set of pairs of points that each have a uniqueID_start and unique_end field. I am trying to extract all of the line segments between each pair of points. The tricky thing is that the pairs can be several line segments long, and have other pairs intersecting them:There could also be several points on a single spot, but corresponding to different pair sets.It’s a mess! Any help would be wonderful!

Hello, I have a reader with a shapefile that has contour lines in it. I have connected that to the ContourLabeller transformer. I have taken the label output port of the ContourLabeller and run it to a DGN Styler where I have styled it. These parts are all working but when I write it using the DGN (V8) writer the label level is not created. What am I missing here? Thanks!

I have a kmz file. There is a point in it. When I open the kml file with fme, the screenshot is attached where it converts the geographical latitude and longitude from degrees minutes to decimal. Additionally, degrees have been converted from minutes and seconds to decimals by Tubitak, the leading institution in Turkey. The screenshot is attached. Does anyone know the reason for the difference? 

I need the coordinates of the intersection, where lines cross the railroad geometry.With SpatialFilter/SpatialRelator I can isolate the lines (from a larger dataset than shown here). But I cannot identify the coordinates of the intersection.In the drawing the red dots are the points I need, they are handdrawn for explation.Any ideas as to what I could do?Thank you :)

Hi FME fans, I am using the MS Sharepoint List writer to update values - this is using Feature Operation 'Update' using Row Selection 'sharepoint item id'.This works fine when I give it a new value, eg a different date, however if I set the value to null in FME the value in sharepoint doesnot change. Hello Forum, I need to create a point layer of middle points of streets. I have a street network (lines) where each object is attributed with the name of the street. I tried coordinateExtractor, which does produces points on the line. However, in the vast majority of cases it selects the starting point. But I need the middle point of each line. So, I then used CentrePointReplacer to create the centre point of the each street’s bounding box. This works but it finds, unsurprisingly, the centre point of the bounding box. These bounding box centre points -unless rarely through extreme coincidence- are not actually on the street itself. I need them to be on the street. So, I now need to snap that point to the nearest street using the shared attribute value. For example, it look at the point record for Acacia Avenue in the bounding box centre points dataset and then snap to the nearest location in the street network whe
