FME Flow

I need to build a mobile form to field works. I would like to know if there is a way to filter a dropdown list from another dropdown list. For example: The first dropdown list contains: Fruit and Vegetables and the second one contains: "Apple", "Peach", "Lettuce" and "Tomato". If I select "Fruit" in the first list, the second one only must be shown "Apple" and "Peach". And if I select "Vegetables", only must be shown "Lettuce" and "Tomato". Is it possible to do this?

Hey! I've a problem of a exceelsheets with over 10000 rows. This excel have a bad structure to do routing from a point to an other point. What I want to do is find the shortest path between these points. It's quite easy when you have one to many. But I don't know how to do this many to many logic in the from to builder.  I have attached a workbench and a shapefile that shows the same problem I have but in as a example data.  In this example I need to make the shortest path from all in the column "from" to all area attributes. But I can't find how to build this logic without doing it manually. I've been trying with list but with no success. Can you guys help me?

Hi Everyone,I was hoping to find a definitive guide explaining how to use CI/CD automation with FME. Right now we have very few workspaces and so we use a manual process to deploy FME things in production. We use Publications, Schedules, Subscriptions, workspaces, data files (for passwords), database connections, etc. I looking for instructions to help with following:Integration with a source control like GIT so that we have versioning set upA guide/tutorial that can explain how to automate deployment of all things FME. If something cannot be deployed via automation, I would like to know that as well.Any pointers on automated testing of FME workspaces/schedules once they are deployed in an environment.

Dear all,I've a problem of authentication on fmeserver when I configure some details in the User Management > Directory Servers. Our Active Directory as 9 servers behind a load balancer with a dns alias. I've tried some configuration and only the worst works as desired. Here there are my tests: 1) desired solution:host with DNSalternate servers ipResult: SSO login works, but API token request and user/pass login don't work 2) mixed solution:host with one ip of the 9 in listalternate servers ipResult: SSO login and API token request work, but user/pass login doesn't work 3) worst solution:host with one ip of the 9 in listno alternate servers ip specifiedResult: SSO login API token and user/pass login work There is a solution to have the first configuration working as the third? Thanks

Having setup an automation on FME server downloading data from an AGOL service, I have to repeat Reauthentication on my login every time data with in the AGOL service has been updated. This does make the automation kind of redundant.. anyone else have had this problem ? and how do I make it go away 😊

Hello am running my FME workbench on one of my colleagues system with FME trial version (without ArcGIS) and I have full FME 2022.2 version(ArcGIS installed on system).   Getting this error : Parameter file was ..... any workaround that FME workbench to run without ArcGIS.  

Hi!We are using FME Server 2022.1, I am currently dealing with a role-rights concept and have encountered a problem with owner transfer of automations. I consider the following case:User A has a classic Author role and publishes a FMW workspace on the server. An automation is set up for the published workspace, also by user A.User A leaves the company and all items are transferred to a user B with identical rights. User A's account is deleted. This works great for all items tested, just the automation. If you try to execute the automation transferred to user B (time-controlled or by manual trigger) the error message appears: User "User A" does not have Run permissions for repository "XYZ"; the triggered job was skipped. The automation seems to still know the original owner even after transferred ownership - The log also shows: [...] --FME_SECURITY_USER "user A" --FME_SECURITY_ROLES "["user:user A", "testrole", "fmeauthor&q

Is there anyway to change the layout of the FME server console lists? Is it possible to configure the FME Server / Flow Data Download Service to automatically split large zip files. Ideally I would like zip files that are larger than 4GB to be split into 2GB chunks{name}.z01{name}.z02{name}.zip

Hi!New to FME and just installed FME Forms on two different machines. One Windows PC - no problem.The other machine, an Apple Macbook Air M1 gave me some trouble.I've installed the version 2023.0.0.1 for Apple Silicon. After starting it and requesting a trial license, the logs give me the following errors: ERROR : Error migrating key storage from jceks file /Users/sverker/Library/Caches/Safe Software/FME/fme_publicKey.jceks Error while migrating public encryption key file Unable to read from file '/Users/sverker/Library/Caches/Safe Software/FME/fme_publicKey.fmeks', No such file or directory (Code 2) I can't see any Transformers in the FME Hub and I when I go into preferences and the "FME Packages" submenu (or some of the other submenus) I get:I've tried the full removal and reinstall, but the problem persists. I tried giving the FME Workbench application the Full Disk Access permission.Thankful for any help!

When connecting FME Flow to Azure (Configuring Azure Active Directory with FME Server (safe.com) - the app needs permission to:Microsoft Graph > Application permissions > Group.Read.All, User.Read.AllMicrosoft Graph > Delegated permissions > User.Read However when using Azure AD and FME Form the following permissions are needed: Microsoft Graph User.Read Delegated  Is it possible to limit the FME Flow permissions to be the same as FME Desktop - or is there a reason you also need Group.Read.All and User.Read.All ?

Hi Support, I’m using FME Server v2021.2.6. It’s currently licensed for 1 engine. Our customer has asked us to add an additional engine. This sounds simple enough, however, the license key provided by our customer, for the 2nd engine, was procured from a different license vendor to the license procured for the first engine. Before I apply the 2nd license, I would like to clarify the following: Will the new license overwrite the existing license or can 2 different licenses be applied concurrently? If 1) is possible:Do I need to install a 2nd FME Engine component (i.e. run the FME Server Installer and select FME Engine only)? Or can I just simply upload the license file via the Web App (via System Configuration > Licensing > Upload License File) then increment the number of engines (via Engine Management > Engines)? Other than 2 different licenses potentially having 2 different expiry dates, are there other implications that may need to be considered? We are running 1x FME Serve

When installing FME Server 2022.2.5 b22795, i used the character '¤' in the PostgreSQL database password. The password was accepted and the installation finished without warnings or errors. Then, none of the FME Services would start. When looking for the configuration files, I noticed that server.xml was missing. I copied it from another installation wich made the FME Server Application Server start. The FME Server database service would not start still. After some troubleshooting, I decided to reinstall. When asked again for the password, for some reason, I used another password without the '¤' sign. After the installation, all services started up and the server.xml file was where it's supposed to be. I have repeated the procedure on a different machine with the same result. My guess is that the '¤' sign is approved by the FME installation program but not accepted by the database. I don't understand why the server.xml file was missing though.For english

Connect to our company LDAP service in the FME Server's Windows Authentication service with the Single Sign On enabled, bring an user from LDAP and assign the user the fmesuperuser or fmeadmin role. But the user gets this error when login with Windows Authentication "you are not authorized to use this web application". Did I miss anything in the configuration of this user?

Every week we have a field crew collect and add data to a geodatabase throughout the week. At the end of the week the Supervisor wants an excel spreadsheet of all the data collected in that week. I have a workspace that runs FME every Monday to collect the weeks worth of data. Right now, I use a tester transformer and I pre set the dates for the following week so when the workspace runs, I have the correct weeks' worth of data. We have field in the geodatabase that collects the date the asset was collected. Then I have task schedular set to run the workspace.  My question is, is there a way to pre set the dates instead of me re-setting them every week? I have tried using Datetimecalculator but I can't seem to get the parameters right. Please let me know your thoughts, thanks in advance!   

Hi everyone!In order to reduce increases, we want to move the FME Server in the cloud, currently on the AWS platform, to the Digital Ocean platform.The best options are installation on top of Linux.I know FME will work great with Linux, our problem is that we work continuously with ESRI systems (sde,gdb), and I know it requires an ArcPro or Enterprise license, at least on Windows.Is the situation similar in Linux?I ask, because ArcGis Pro does not have a Linux deployment option.Would appreciate help!Thanks!

I tried removing the root folder(system) bust it came back but still with no emailer packages. Versions of fme workbench and server are the same 2022.1 Can i manualy put fmepy_emailer files in teh map, as so where can ik find the files from workbench.
