Hey Team,We’re getting a really weird error on Flow/Server (2022.2), and unfortunately it seems to be one of those ones that we can’t really replicate!The Infrastructure setup is two hosts, with a mixture of standard engines and dynamic engines. We got the below errors across two (very) different workbenches, on the same engine/host (standard engine):  We had something similar a couple of weeks ago and resolved it by restarting the effected host. However, this time around it has seemed to fix itself (assuming it was restarted as part of the automatic engine recycling).Looking at the engine logs for that host, they don’t really give too much more info as to what has happenedTue-12-Mar-2024 10:37:00.923 AM INFORM Thread-13401 BANPRIFMESP01_Engine2 Translation Finished (service '7070'). I’m looking at upgrading our internal automated testing of our FME tools/workspace. At the moment the way I’m doing it is with custom docker images of FME Desktop/Form and running the tests inside these. This works OK, I’m able to automate the licensing and do what I need to do. But obviously with FME Form comes a lot of uneeded GUI stuff. Plus it just feels clunky and I always need to create a new docker file anytime a new version of FME comes out which I want to test against. (we build our tools in older versions of FME to try and support more customers on various FME versions) I know that there are docker-compose files for FME Flow which work well, however, I don’t really need the whole stack, just the Engine with which I can feed my tests. Also the way that I’m working makes using docker-compose difficult/annoying.In light of that does anyone know if there is a way to just use the FME Engine image on it’s own. This would really save my bacon and make may testing pipeline much more

Hello I`ve been trying to learn how to create a CityGML file using Esri Shapefiles. Is there any tutorial in there or workspaces I can get to know the workflow? Also any advice for a beginner would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,We recently made the switch to ArcGIS Pro and have made a named user account for the Pro license on our FME Server Machine. This has tended to work but sometimes we will get a slew of failed jobs on FME Server because it wasn't able to acquire a license. In the morning, we would log into Pro again and things would be fine after that for awhile. We haven't been able to get a reliable connection to the license. The only hypothesis we have is that up to 2 admins can log into the FME Server machine using the same service account then the same named account for ArcGIS Pro. In the past we never had an issue because we had a concurrent pool but now it seems like we are confusing FME with the named user license and breaking connection between FME and Pro. Has anyone been experiencing this?

We've just upgraded a couple of machines to FME Form 2023.1.1.1 in preparation for a full rollout , however we're experiencing issues with the default layout of FME Form. The menu bar has not loaded?  When selecting transformers in the canvas or items from the tool bar I have to click below the item to select? Like there is a spatial disconnect between the clicked location and the item I'm wishing to select? Pressing F11 makes the menu bar appear and the issues of clicking directly on a transformer or tool bar icon a non issue. However the navigator, translation log and status bar windows all disappeared unless I make these visible again via selecting them from View>Windows. I have to keep repeating this process every time I return to FME Form. Same issue also occurred when I installed 2023.1 as a trail earlier last month. Any advice greatly welcome. Thanks,Chris  

Bring the “Deployment Status” back!I really miss the overview of the distributed environment. Which core host is active? Are both of them alive?Let’s not look back, i’m not grumpy, but let’s still find ways to display this info.  Whats the reason to depricate the Deployment status?

When enabling feature caching, there is a 'considerable' lag when trying to interrogate the cached features from an output port: usually have to wait 10 -15 seconds to expand the table attribute fields or sort the attribute fields, for instance. When clicking elsewhere to do another activity and returning to the cached features output, the same lag time is experienced. I though the idea was that cached features would be stored virtually, so they wouldn't have to be re-loaded each time? The lag is even present when only interrogating a handful of features. Are there settings that can optimise this to reduce the lag/remove? I do use a VPN to access the workspaces from OneDrive (there workspaces are not stored locally). Version: 2022.2.3.0 (20230131 - Build 22789 - WIN64) 

Patching our backend oracle database should the FME server be stopped while the update occurs?

FME Form 2023.2 installed produce always a memory Error at startup : "The instruction at 0x00007FFC9A16C1D0 referenced memory at 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. The memory could not be read."Click OK to terminate the program. The environnement is VMWARE Windows Server 2019 Datacenter, 16GB RAM, 4 CPU. This same machine runs FME 2020.1 32bits and 64bits with no issues.I have désinstalled ,reboot, reinstalled the FME product , same issue. If this is a know issue , is there a configuration to change ? How to troubleshoot ?  Thanks 

Perhaps just of curiosity, I would like to know what all the lines in the safe.lic license file actually mean. On the documentation website for FME Form, there is a section called "Installing FME Form from the Windows Command Prompt". However, I cannot find any documentation for uninstalling FME Form from the command prompt. Is there any way to do this, so that we can package the uninstall + install for updated processes? I am trying to install FME Flow 20.23.1 on a local MS Windows 2022 Server. I am using / trying to use the silent installer. The command that runs successfully is shown below. The install.logs shows no errors and end with message: "Installation completed successfully" I have an external Tomcat instance btw. I can successfully start the FME Server by using the bat file startCore.bat. After I use this bat file, I can go to http://localhost:8080/fmeserver/ and I can login with admin / admin. Everything looks fine. When I try to start FME Server using the MS Window service created by the installer, it fails with message Error 126: The specified module could not be found I think the service fails fairly quickly in the sense that no real FME processes are started and there is nothing in the log files.  It this is a known issue with running FME Flow on MS Windows 2022 server? I checked the documentation but there doesn't seem to be specific requirements mentioned for running FM

QUESTION: Is there anyway to adjust the login timeout for MS SQL connections? Periodically, I've been logging an error from the SQLExecutor transformer which appears to be related to timeout issues when connecting to a MS SQL database. The error below seems to occur at random and is hard to replicate on demand.  'Provider error (-247467259) Unable to complete login process due to delay in opening server connection' I suspect that the connection, periodically, is talking longer then the timeout configured in FME. I know of the 'Command Timeout' parameter but as I understand it this is only applicable to the query length timeout, not the login connection timeout

When i start the program FME Workbench version 2021.1.2 and 2021.2.6, the system start up as expected. But when i try to start FME Workbench 2022.2.2, 2022.2.4, 2022.2.5 or FME Form 2023.0 the start window appears. We have upgraded to FME FLOW 2023.1. Now the workbenches that write or read to to our SQL Server Spatial - SDE MS SQL Server 2012 fail. It looks like an SSL certificate error.  Microsoft SQL Server Spatial Writer: Failed to connect using Microsoft OLE DB Driver 19 for SQL Server. Provider error '(-2146893019) SSL Provider: The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted. '. Connection string 'Provider=MSOLEDBSQL19;Data Source=djskfjdksfjslfjslf-sqlserver-se.cdvhtvcfec0o.ap-southeast-2.rds.amazonaws.com;Initial  Failed to open writer MSSQL_SPATIAL writer: An error has occurred. May I ask what is the default password for fmeserver database?

Dear FME community, We would like to have redunancy in our FME Form licencing using Flexlm. We have x number of licenses that should not be divided over n servers, but the same licenses need to be configured on all servers, master and backup. If I install FME engine on seprate machine to connect FME flow core host (with default Flow database installed on same), does the trial FME flow standard license work on distributed architecture? Is ther any specific license required to configure distributed engine setup not the trial one?

If I reinstall FME flow software, can same license file be used again even this is a trial flow license? According to the licesne request file machine code is generating diffrent value. Do I need to request new trial license file if reinstallation is in place? Is it applicable for permanent license also in case of any reinstallation is needed? Please advise.

Hi community! I installed FME Flow 2023.1.1.1 on Ubuntu 22.04 with installer [1]. I choosesetup type "Distributed / Fault Tolerant" to use an existing Postgres instanceaccording to [2]. I then set up the Postgres database according to [3].I also changed proxyPort in /opt/fmeflow/Utilities/tomcat/conf/server.xmlto the correct port number. Then installed, enabled, and started the systemdunits according to [4]. Everything worked at this point and I could log in as admin and change thepassword as required. I could also log out and log in as admin. I thencreated a new admin user. When I logged out and try to log in as the new userthe landing page was stuck in an infinite refresh loop. I also deleted allcookies which did not have any effect on the constant reloading. The URL is https://view-db.vinci-energies.de/fmeserver/. I uninstalled FME Flow, dropped the fmeserver database, and installed FME Flowagain as before. Now the landing page doesn't even prompt for the admin loginan
