Sluggish performance with comment field

Hello, I am a first-time poster on the FME forum. My goal is to read data stored in a plain view from a non-spatial Oracle database and then write it to an Oracle SDE geo_dbtable. The issue is that my Oracle Non-Spatial Reader slows down, taking more than 30 minutes to execute the SQL Statement when I include two comment fields that are long, 2000 characters. When I run the same query in SQL Developer, the result is back in a few seconds. The log message that gets stuck on is: ORACLE Reader: Executing SQL Statement `SELECT…<field names> to obtain features for feature type <Oracle View Name>If I uncheck the comment fields in the User Attributes tab the reader returns quickly, within a minute. So I’m skeptical that it is caused by network distance. Given these challenges, I need some guidance. I’ve tried using an Oracle NCLOB to hold the comments in the view, but the result remains sluggish. I'm eager to learn how to optimize my workbench's performance when dealing with

TCP\IP Receiver shutting down immediately

I am trying to set up a TCPIP Receiver to read raw data from a specific port on another host machine. On the box I am authoring the workspace with I can use Windows PowerShell to ping that location and have another technician confirm with Wireshark that data is being sent through this port. So in using the TCP\IP Receiver transformer I can ‘Successfully connect to host’ per the log but the translation immediately shuts down per the attached snip. Why is it doing this? It should be streaming data and to do so needs that transporter open. Thanks for any help.

Why user parameter value is not setting when i call fmw file from bat file?

Hi All, I am trying to call a fmw file using bat file which will run on fme quick translator. Here for a testing i created a fmw file with “path” reader and changing the input value as user parameter which i newly added in workbench. I created a testing bat file to call that fmw file but i am facing “Undefined environment variable”. I referred old case regarding and changed into ${variable} format but no change yet I’m facing the same. I attached workbench file and bat for your reference.I am using FME Desktop 2020.1.1.1 32bit version

OGC Geopackage Writer - copy feature type from reader imports incorrect geometry

When adding a Geopackage Writer to the workspace and using the “Copy from Reader...” functionality to import a feature type definition (from a Geopackage reader), the geometry set on the Geopackage writer feature type is incorrect.Upon opening the newly added writer feature type, it doesn’t show any geometry. Opening it a second time then shows the Geometry as <All>, which is not a valid value for the Geopackage format. We’re currently investigating the issue and will be filing a bug report shortly to get this issue resolved.

Zoom Level Limit in Geometry Parameter

Hi,Is there a hidden Zoom limit which can be changed in the Geometry Parameter setings which prevents users to zoomin further than a specific level like (z21 in Google)? Or is this a “feature” of the Leaflet source code behind the this function? I can understand the limit for Google Maps but when using our own custom WMTS layer we shouuldn’t be stoped by this limit. SQLEXECUTOR cannot be evaluated without a feature error

I have a filegb that I want to append a value from an oracle non-spatial dataset where the address and postcode match. But keep getting the error “The SQL query contains an expression or a global parameter so cannot be evaluated without a feature. Please run translation instead.” Any ideas please how I can resolve this?

Spatial Relator keep causing my workbench to fail

Hello, I am working creating a workbench that will take date for AGOL and from our sde database and join them together as a point feature for use in AGOL apps. All of a sudden, I get this error message:ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: Encountered an unexpected error. The error code from the server was '405' and the message was: 'This SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable.'. Details: 'Unable to apply edits. Please check your parameters.'ARCGISONLINEFEATURES writer: An error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsAn error has occurred. Is deleting from a Google Shared Drive supported?

I have been trying to automate uploading/deleting from a Google Drive Shared file using a GoogleDriveConnector, which I thought was recently changed to support shared drives. The first issue is that the files do no automatically overwrite if they have the same name, they create duplicates, whereas if you upload manually the files will become versioned. To get around this, I assumed I would be able to identify and delete the older file first before uploading the new file, however when trying to delete the older file I get:"2021-10-20 15:19:39| 21.6| 0.0|INFORM|Delete_existing_file: Object with id "File ID" does not exist on Google Drive. Nothing to delete". (I have removed the ID for this post). I have permissions to delete from the drive, and I have created the shareable link manually as a check to confirm that the file ID is correct and exists. I can successfully upload new files to the said folder, but I'm trying to avoid a scenario where I have a load of outd

Autodesk Build connector

Is there a way to connect to Autodesk Build and retrieve photo's and Forms? Either through a connector or through the API. I can get acces to Autodesk Docs but I need acces to Build as I would like to add the photo's to a webmap.Because the API acces to ACC Build makes use of a three-legged authorization I see no possibility to do this. The process needs to allow for a pop-up and I don not know a way to avoid this. I hoped it was possible to use a webconnection in conjunction with an httpcaller but I do not know how.Does anybody have experience with this and perhaps an example?

_response_body is not in JSON format

HiI am using the HTTPCaller to get the information from Issues page in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).The AuthorizationToken has been created and looks good but once I am using HTTPCaller to get information form issues page, the result created in “_response_body” is not in the json format so consequently I am not able to use JSON extractor Is there any step that I am missing?P.S:In “HTTPCaller4”in requested URL I used “https://developer.api.autodesk.com/docs/issues/projects/$(PID)/issues”*I have predefined $(PID) in User Parameter. Blocked from connecting to ArcGIS Online services

Unable to connect to ArcGIS Online services through FME Form. This issue began at approximately 4pm AEST on 5th June 24. No connection issues were apparent earlier in the day. JSONUpdater Ssts all to last value processed

***UPDATE - PROBLEM RESOLVED***This is a strange one!For this example, I have 2 features. I put a counter to get 0 and 1 for the value. Then I’m updating my JSON with the _count value. The output from the JSONUpdater has SERIALNUM = 1 for both features. If I change the sort, it will set both to 0. I’m passing in the same feature in the Document and Update input ports. I’m not sure the distinction between the two input ports.

Add Cityworks Inspection attachments using FME Form

Hi, I am trying to add Inspection attachments to the Inspections using FME Form.I have excel spreadsheet that have EntityUID, InspectionTemplateId, Observations Questions and Answers, and image links1 - to image link4(attachments)Each Inspection must have entity attach to it based on the EntityUID. Image as JPG extension located on the repository an each image have EntityUID in the image name.How can I attach image to the Inspection- that is first questionSecond question is that some Entities have up to 4 images related to them, that reference based on the different parameter (Image_link1, image_link2,image_link3, and image_link4) It is easy to create inspection, add entity, and populate Observations questions and answers but I am struggling to attach the images.

I have Here Maps Data in XML format. I want to extract the data to CSV in FME. If I am directly adding XML there are issues in reading the file. Currently I am using an XML Flattener tool built using python. Is there any option in FME to do this?

Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Not Preserving GlobalIDs on Insert

I'm trying to write new (Insert) features to a Utility Network feature service using the Portal writer and it doesn't appear to be preserving global ids despite my parameter setting to do so. The issue appears to exist on all layers in the service. I've tried connecting to Portal via 'Web Connection' and with 'Generate Token' parameters and see the same result. I am connecting to a branch version and not DEFAULT. I can confirm that Globals are not coming over as expected on the version.I've got some Fiddler screengrabs as well if that's helpful.Thanks all.

Hello all, I am trying to use “reader” AGO data to provide a “Writer” GDB which contain the attachment photos I have been advised to use this process:In the “reader” I set up o include attachment:and selected the attributes: Set up “AttributExposer” In “RasterReplacer” I am not usre what should be done: When I try to select “Data:Became unable to process: I have been advised“ It seems you missed the last step in my first response. "The arcgisonline_attachment{}.data attribute holds the raster data which you could then use the RasterReplacer to recreate the image."You should add RasterReplacer to restore data into an image and then use a writer with the correct format (which you selected within RasterReplacer) to write those output.” Does someone one know what to do? What would cause a Snowflake connection to work on FME Desktop/Form, but hang on FME Server/Flow?

I have a snowflake connection that works perfectly on desktop, and most of the time hangs when I push it to FME server. My connection to snowflake is a service account with a username and password. I am using the SQL executer transformer to run a query against a table of shipping data in snowflake. I have also tried the workflow with the Snowflake Non-Spatial Reader, and the feature reader.Running it on desktop is no problem. Just about any query I throw at Snowflake returns data, even up to 700k+ rows. When I publish to server, the job almost always hangs up right at the point where the query is submitted. I say almost because when I shrink the query down to just 1 or 2 records returned, the job will return that data. Based on this information, I am assuming my connection between my FME server and the Snowflake instance is good. Any thoughts as to what could be causing the jobs to hang? FME desktop version 2022.2.1FME server version 2022.2.1

Consume FME Apps using token

HiIn production environment i have FME Server that has a SAML Configuration and it works fineI created an APP in FME.This app need to be under authentication and i set the users in the configuration. The problem is that this APP is included in sharepoint page using IFRAME. The users are authenticated in Sharepoint but when they access to the page that contains the FME App, the app shows the login page. If the users click on SAML Auth button, the IFRAME try to show the provider's sign-in page that is not setted to be included in IFRAME and so it doesnt’ work.So to solve this problem, i tried to create a token and tried to call the app in IFRAME passing the token in the query string. But it doesn’t work.So the question is: there is a way to display an APP using token instead of user credential?

It is possible to the saved zipped file from the ShapeFile feature wrtiter NOT split (generate) multiple zip files. The workbence/job is running on FmeCloud.
