HiI'm having trouble using connections to SQL Server since upgrading FME server to 2017. I'd like to use windows authentication, and got this working on 2016.1 by changing the account that one of the FME services ran as (using a service account), and giving that service account access to my database. I've tried this in 2017 and it doesn't seem to work - it stops various parts of FME Server from working properlyAlso I can't seem to find any documentation for FME Server 2017. Is there any?ThanksAdam

Trying to install FME2017 on linux and get this error-message:Dependency not satisfiable: libpng12-0Have tried to google for it to be installed - but this seems to be a very old library - the newest is 16-16. Any workaround for this?

Windows 10 64bit machine running 32bit FME version 2016.1.3.1(20161207 - Build 16716 - WIN32) and I am trying to connect to a DB2 non-spatial database using ODBC.  I have installed IBM iAccess Client Solutions version 1.1.0.15 and created a 32bit ODBC connection to the server. When I add an IBM DB2 Non-Spatial reader to the workspace, it fails with the following error: IBM DB2 Non-Spatial Reader: Database version '7.1.15' not supportedI tried using the instructions on this site at https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/675/creating-an-odbc-connection-to-an-ibm-db2-database.html but they will not work on Windows 10.Is this something I can work around or am I beating a dead horse. The jobs list is empty (running, queued and completed). When a job has finished running (it is possible to see it in the UI) it sits for a few minutes in the interface and then gets automatically deleted. I disabled all cleanups logs for jobs. It seems to be only something related to the interface because if I access C:\\ProgramData\\SafeSoftware\\FME Server\\resources\\logs\\engine\\current\\jobs the actual logs are there but they are simply not showing on the web interface under the "Manage -> Jobs" tab.Has anyone already experienced this issue?

I uploaded a workspace to a FME Server using the Datadownload service.I call this service and workspace from a custom webpage.All is working as designed, but I would like to skip the download link that is returned by the service.I would like the Datadownload service to start downloading the file as soon as the file is generated.I can't find the right option for this.My URL looks like: http://localohost:8080/fmeserver/fmedatadownload/myrepository/myworkspace.fmw?Can anybody help?

Hi, I am trying to run a series of transformations using the FME Rest API. Sometimes it works just fine, however, sometimes I get the message "Authentication failed: Failed to bind to Active Directory". (401). I created a token valid for 10 days and used a HTTPCaller to POST to the URL "http://ourserver:8080/fmerest/v2/notifications/topics/LDR_Trigger/message/raw?token=123456&detail;=low". Sometimes it looks like if I login to the FMEServer UI, it remembers the token and the result is as I expect. Has anyone any experience using FME Server REST service on Active Directory?

I do not use my FME Cloud account anymore, but I still get invoices. How can I close the account?

Hi,I've successfully sent emails using Gmail's smtp settings (SSL/465) using the Emailer within desktop however when setting up a Subscription in FME Server with the same settings I get the "SSL error occurred. Ensure connection security and port are correct" error message.Changing the settings to no connection security appears to work i.e. no error messages however I never receive an email. Topic Monitoring detects the outgoing email topic and "looks" OK. Gmail "enable less secure apps" is good but the activity report on the gmail account is showing IMAP access type when I expected to see SMTP.Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated :)Cheers, Blake

Hi,Perhaps someone has come across this before. I am trying to license ArcMap on our FME Server.FME Server 2015 is installed with the FME Server license Manager on the same server (server1 )using port 27000ArcMap license manager is installed on server2 also using port 27000.Port 27000 is open on each server. Both machines are running Win 2008 Server.We install ArcMap on the FME Server (server1) and try to license it using the license manger on server2 but I get an error that there is no License server running on the ArcMap license manager server.The FME Server and ArcMap license managers are on different servers. Therefore I would expect that I can connect to the ArcMap license manager from the FME server even though they both use port 27000 as they are separate servers. Can anyone confirm this?Thanks,Annette

Is there a mechanism to set the priority of a job in FME Server that is triggered through the notification service via a message to a topic. For example the jobsubmitter service allows the passing of a tm_priority tag as a querystring parameter and I'm wondering if this is also possible via the message content on a topic to trigger jobs invoked via the notification service to run with variable priorities.

I recently transferred MapInfo v15.2 from a computer with Windows 10 to a computer with Windows 7. I am trying to run the Universal Translator, but it gives me the following error:File C:\\Users\\Name could not be openedProgram terminating.I have been searching through the forums and throughout the documentation FME has, but I am unable to find a solution SO FAR. I am wondering if it is a security issue with Windows 7; I have multiple users set up on this computer. I will continue to search for answers, but if anyone on this forum can help me, I would be very grateful.Regards

 The FME Server Administrator's Guide indicates that configuration files must be modified in order to setup FME Server to receive emails: FME Server Admin Guide: Configuring FME Server to Receive E-mailBecause the file system is not available on FME Cloud, is this necessary?

I recently installed the new ArcGis (10.5) on our system. ArcGis is working perfectly well, but since then FME isn't able to execute ArcGis related (GeoDatabase) tasks. The Error call is: Unable to check out an Esri license. Please ensure ArcGIS is correctly licensed and that there are available licenses. Is this a known problem and what can I do to solve it (except for waiting 2 weeks for the new FME release). The only thing I can think of is reinstall the older ArcGis.

However, I am having an issue using the job manager to kill jobs. Any time i try to terminate a job I get error communicating with FME server host (hostid). Connection Refused. I have reason to believe this is to do with the fact that the hostname of the engine and the web/core are different (as they are containerised) do kill requests get sent on a different port address? Is this an issue with the docker configuration or has anybody else had the same issue? Appreciate any insights you may have had.RegardsGavin Montgomery

hello,i have a strange request and i am thinking if FME can help me in anyway,we have walked down a railway track and taking a video (360) allowing us to see the condition of assets eg a signal box, i have also got a simple ployline in LL84 showing the path.the request i have is when someone clicks on a point on the line they will get the video related to that area. could FME server crop the video?can FME be used to scale the video eg the start of the video is the start point of the line and the end of the video is the end point of the line?i know FME is not a video editing tool, but any help or ideas would be much appreciatedthanks

On a FME Server with job routing enabled I set the tm_tag parameter for a job by using the Direct URL Example from the WebUI and add the parameter to the end of the string. This works with the default dataset, but when I upload a temporary data set as a source data, the job fails, reporting the data was not found. How can I use a temporary upload in the Direct URL to run a workspace with the tm_tag parameter set?

On the Engines & Licensing page in FME Server 2016.1, the options to Refresh / Request / Upload a License File are not available! What could be the cause of this error?

HI for obtention of licence code in case of floating licence for FME Desktop, I would like to know if the informations contained in the MD-DOS command : ipconfig/all,are sufficient....I won't be able on site to be connected everytime, so I would ask the customer to type this command on the server computers where the licences will be installed.Regards

I'm trying to install FME desktop on a VM that's configured with a very small C:\\ drive which contains just the OS. All the program files are installed on the D:\\ drive. When prompted for installation folder I'm changing it to the D:\\ drive. I'm getting an error that there is not enough space on the drive, then I get an error 2755. I've tried installing it on my own workstation, on the C:\\ drive and it installs properly.

FME desktop application disappeared after upgrading Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. Reinstall FME 2016 on the new OS failed. Safe tech support confirmed that 16.04 had not been tested. If someone has had luck with Ubuntu 16.04, please share your installation procedure. Much appreciated!

Is there a reason why I get multiple notifications on a create topic when only one file is copied into the folder?I have done some testing with a reasonably small file (8mb) and when copied I get a total of 17 notifications published to the topic that has been set up as a directory watch, as you can imagine if multiple files are copied I get some major notification spam. I have noticed that there is a setting for 'Modify' (time to wait after modify) so that if multiple sequential notifications that are sent they can be ignored. Is there something like that for 'Create' that I am not aware of? I am really only looking for 1 notification for 1 fileI seem to be getting some unexpected results, has anyone else had success dealing with similar issues?
