Hi,

I've successfully sent emails using Gmail's smtp settings (SSL/465) using the Emailer within desktop however when setting up a Subscription in FME Server with the same settings I get the "SSL error occurred. Ensure connection security and port are correct" error message.

Changing the settings to no connection security appears to work i.e. no error messages however I never receive an email.

Topic Monitoring detects the outgoing email topic and "looks" OK. Gmail "enable less secure apps" is good but the activity report on the gmail account is showing IMAP access type when I expected to see SMTP.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated :)

First thought: Is port 465 on the FME Server open to send data or is the Firewall prohibiting this?

Thanks for the reply... I thought that too but the firewall settings are allowing FME server full access in and out. Settings are identical for Desktop as well which is adding to my confusion as Desktop had no issues using the Emailer tranny... will keep digging!
