Was previously running Windows 10 Pro build version 1809, until yesterday when Windows decided to update me from build version 1809 to build version 1903. This update seemingly has deleted FME Desktop application, though the other FME application such as Data Inspector and Quick Translator are still present.I launched FME Licensing Assistant 2018.1 and tried to enter in my Home Use License serial number into the Single-Fixed-License field. But it returned this error.""Invalid trial activation codeThis trial activation code has already been used to generate a license. If you wish to obtain a new trial activation code, please visit www.safe.com/trial."" The license is valid for another two months. So my license isn't expired either. I also tried pointing the FME Licensing Assistant 2018.1 to C:\\ProgramData\\Safe Software\\FME\\Licenses since the license file still exists. That returned "License not valid on this computer" So I'm at a total loss, any

Hello, I have fme server and and engines on two different machines in a distributed environment. I am trying to query the underlying postgres database directly through toad datapoint. It seems I need to connect to port 7082. I have not figured out the server name and location however. DataPoint is on my local box not on fme server.

We're upgrading our servers and databases to ArcGIS 10.6, Oracle19c and FME 2019 I'm installing the new machine for FME, but 'm unable to connect to our database with the ArcSDE Geodb reader. I'm using a sde connection file(which works in ArcCatalog), but when I try to open the Table List I get the follwoing error:Failed to retrieve feature types.Could not open the Enterprise Geodatabase. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147216072'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Underlying DBMS error[Unknown errorNo extended error.]}Here's the additional logfile:  My Setup:Server: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 StandardFME Desktop 2019.2.2 64-bitArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1ArcGIS Desktop Background Geoprocessing 10.6.1 (64-bit)Oracle Client 19cOracle instant client 19.5 64-bitDatabase:Oracle 19.cArcSde 10.6.1 Connecting to the database with an Oracle Reader does work. Any idea what the problem could be?

Hello, While configuring a license from the command line, I found this article.Only, I couldn't get it to work.The problem is, that you have to use fmelicensingassistant_cmd.exe in all cases. (Not just fmelicensingassistant)Could you please update your documentation accordingly?And maybe explain that you can retreive the license type bij running the --query command line. Kind regards,Fabian HofmanAxians

Additionally, I also need to take care of the "delta" data moves (incremental updates). Pls let me know your inputs. 1. Is an intermediate XML unavoidable? 2. Hi,I have a client who has no troubles installing FME 2018.1.2.0 (build 18590) in A Citrix environment. He tries to upgrade to 2019.0 (build 19238) and get a error message:I have not had the time to troubleshoot too much, anyone seen similar and knows what might cause this problem?

@DeWetAtSafe: I found your archlinux package of fme desktop 2017 at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/fme-desktop-2017/I tried to re-pack fme desktop 2018 using the files for 2017 as a template, albeit unsuccessful.Would it be possible that you create a package for the fme desktop 2018, too? That would be most helpful!

Some really weird has happend to my Win-10 enterprise PC: Starting FME workbench 2018.1.1.2 fails with the "LibraryLoad failed with error 87" error message. Has anyone else had to deal with it? By googling it seems to be a generic windows issue. I can't find any FME - specific discussions about this error.My theory is that some windows upgrade has broken my FME installation.Happy for any help. If I find a solution I'll post a followup.

We have FME 2018.1 when you choose “Use system proxy settings” it uses the system proxy ok, but it ignores any exceptions you may have set in Internet Options e.g. for local addresses that don’t use the proxy. The work around I have at the minute is to add each individual server on our local domain to the Custom Proxy Map in FME Preferences as having No Proxy however I can’t use a wildcard to do this the same way it is in the Internet Options exceptions list e.g. server1.domain.com rather than *.domain.com. Is this by design? Exception list in Internet Options Proxy Window and use System Settings in FME 

Hi,using FME 2019.1.2 (32bit) I encounter the following issue:Data Source is an ESRI FileGDB. Table 1 - has a GlobalID column and content is shown with braces in FME- has GUID column referencing GlobalID in table 2 and content is shown without braces in FMETable 2 - - has a GlobalID column, content is shown with braces in FME Now, when I want to merge both tables with FeatureMerger (tab1.Guid = tab2.Globalid) no features are merged.If I add braces to the GUID column features will be merged in FeatureMerger.As far as I understand GlobalID and GUID are the same data type in ESRI - so why are the shown / treated differently in FME? I'm aware of this posting about missing braces - but in the situation I described above its not just a display issue.It seems to me that GlobalID have braces in FME whereas GUID dont. And that prevents merging (joining) both tables easily. Rob       

Hello Team,  we recently installed FME server 2019 and now we are trying to configure license which we got through . While uploading the safe.lic file we are getting error message like not a valid file. Then i change the file extension to .fmelic and tried to upload it this i am getting following error, could somebody assist me to fix this issue. 

Anyone who has an idiotproof guide to how I change the default port numbers for FME server docker install into else than 80 or 443? I plan to run this on a linux server with loads of other stuff, including a web server on port 80. Lots of other stuff that breaks if I put FME server on port 80. I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one with this use case... I am quite baffled that port number this isn't a parameter in the installation script.

I'm seeing the 'unable ot load interpreter' issues when publishing FME workspaces (with arcpy) to FME Server. They run fine in my local with the python interpreter pointing ot the python libraries from ArcPro install but fails on server.

What Flexera LM version is needed for FME Desktop 2019.1.2.0 floating licenses? In this case the customer is using the ArcGIS License Manager 2018.1 an therefore FLEXnet Publisher 11.14.1.2 (Note: FLEXnet Licensing Service - 11.14.1.3) Are there any other things to consider when using ArcGIS License Manager with FME Desktop floating licenses?Thank you in advance for your help! Hello,I've recently upgraded FME Server to the latest build (19801) because of the recently flagged security vulnerability involving Active Directory. Followed the required steps, i.e Backup / Restore Test, then Uninstall current Version / Install latest Version / restore backup. All went well.1) However my "Favorite Workspaces" have disappeared but not the end of the world.2) I'm still having to re-adjust the amount of FME engine required after server reboot (on going) which involves "Refreshing" of FME Server licence. I only have one for now but FME Server detects 2 after server reboot.Are points 1) & 2) known issues?ThanksSameer

I have a customer who currently has only one floating license for their enterprise. We would like to configure our workflow such that it waits until the license is available to checkout and then proceed with the translations. Is there a way to have FME check if a license is available so that I can write a loop that effectively pauses the translation until the license is available?

Hello list,I have the task to configure my fme 2018 server to provide * a dedicated highspeed queue for fire department tasks* a default queue for all the other work The condition is that the highspeed tasks have to run "immediately" and should never be blocked/delayed/slowed down by workspaces running in the default queue. Is it correct to create two different server queues with separate engines and do the job assignment through different repositories for a) the fire department's workspaces and b) the rest of the pack, or are there other/better mechanisms available. Especially I am interested in the job priority parameter that I can assign to the queues. Best regards - Markus  

After upgrading a Schemamapper transformer from FME 2016 to FME 2018, I get an Connection error from within the Schemamapper (pointing to an Access database) : "Connection does not exist", even though nothing has changed. It is an upgrade problem cause any workflow with that Schemamapper in FME 2016 works without problem The same workflow opened in FME 2018 desktop has a red settings button and the abovementioned error. What to do?

Hi everyone,We're currently running the FME Workbench in an app-v package. As users launch the application through Liquit/Citrix, they first need to select their license (which needs to be checked out/borrowed from the license server). This is perfectly described in the following article: https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Desktop_Admin_Guide/FMEInstallation/Configuring_FME_Desktop_to_Use_a_Floating_License_3_Server_Redundant.htmThe customer is now asking/requesting if the steps where we select a license and assign it can be removed by automatically selecting the license (as we only have one license, there's no other option available at the moment). This would mean that the workbench would automatically launch instead of the pop-up from the Licensing assistant.Is this possible? If yes, do we need to define it in a configuration file? And which file would this be? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Definitely need to be able to preserve existing GlobalID. This is important for key relationships for relationship classes between features and tables.
