Anyone else who get "LibraryLoad failed with error 87" when starting FME desktop?

Some really weird has happend to my Win-10 enterprise PC: Starting FME workbench 2018.1.1.2 fails with the "LibraryLoad failed with error 87" error message.

Has anyone else had to deal with it? By googling it seems to be a generic windows issue. I can't find any FME - specific discussions about this error.

My theory is that some windows upgrade has broken my FME installation.

Happy for any help. If I find a solution I'll post a followup.

Hm, the problem vanished the next day! I swear I didn't touch anything (not even an restart).

 

Of course, I'll take the honor for this wonderful success, by NOT applying my impeccable problem solving skills and guru karma the problem got bored and went elsewhere.
