Hi folks,

I have a question of a customer :

We are preparing the FME version upgrade for the coming weeks / months.

In this context we ask ourselves the question of how to obtain a new license file for the new license server.

Is it possible that the two versions coexist during the tests and the final changeover?

    Hi @pascalmortz, Migrating the license server can be easily done. The steps are mentioned in this article here https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/28239/how-to-migrate-floating-license-servers.html

    Can you clarify how long you want the 2 versions to co-exist? Is it a couple of weeks or more.

    Hi @pascalmortz,

    Under the terms of the SLA, once you've licensed the new license server using our standard licensing process, the old license must be removed/deleted.

     

    However, we are happy to assist customers with their specific needs in transitioning between environments. Please contact your account manager or for assistance.
