I am going to read Data from ProjectWise. FME could read Folder trees (as attached picture) but accessing to folders is not possible. (my user name and passsword are correct)(Also I have the Bentley CONNECTION Client installed and logged in.)The IT guys said that they useAPI version 2.8.Is there any solution to solve this issue?Thanks in advanced  

I am fairly new to FME and I am trying to pass an Excel file pathname to systemCaller so I can use it in a Python script. I need to use the SystemCaller as I am using a bat file to change virtual environment and then call Python.What I am trying to do is get FME to just pass the Excel filename via a user parameter to SystemCaller using this statement"C:\temp\Excel_processing.bat" --input "$(excel_infil)"where excel_infil = “C:\temp\Excel_processing\infile.xls”But I get a “File path is incorrect” error in the logger (not in english, so the error is a translation). I have even tried to just hardcode the input filename to the statement but get the same error. I tried this:"C:\temp\Excel_processing.bat" --input “C:\temp\Excel_processing\infile.xls” If i just use the statement "C:\temp\Excel_processing.bat" in SystemCaller, then I dont have any issues and the .bat/python script works as expected but I need FME to pass the filename along. I have a bunch of echo statements in the .bat file bu

I have a file A from which I am reading the creation date through a “Directory and File Pathnames Reader”.Now I want to add the date as data in a column of file B.It should look like this:ID path_created_date 1 2025-04-04 2 2025-04-04  I tried using AttributeManager, but what I get is this:ID path_created_date <missing> 2025-04-04 1 <missing> 2 <missing>  I am very thankful for any other ideas or solutions.

Hello everyone I've been designing a new custom transformer to sum up part of my workflow (in FME Form 2025.0). The issue is that I can't add any of my attributes to the text editor even though all attributes are selected to be exposed in the input parametres.Moreso, If I edit it individually, no attributes appear (as obvious), but if I edit them inside a workbench session and I choose specific attributes to expose, they are still not availaible in the text editor, but they  get instead automatically added as user parametres for the custom transformer. Can anyone explain me how this works? FME Form 2024.2.4 on Windows Server 2016 I’ve been using the SlackConnector transformer for quite some time to send messages when jobs have finished in both FME Form and Flow. It’s been working without fail for the past two years.Just recently we had to reinstall a few things on our VM which caused our user accounts to be wiped. This meant all our existing connections had to be recreated.Unfortunately I’m no longer able to create the webconnection in FME for Slack as it keeps failing on the authentication step telling me “your browser is not supported”.  Slack stopped supporting older browser on 15 March 2025I initially thought the default browser was causing issues so I set it again to Chrome, but I think FME Form must be running an in-built version of IE or something. I’ve also tried recreating to connection of various other machines running windows, but same issue. I can’t seem to find any way of forcing FME to use another browser. I saw on the FME known issues page a workaround by

I am using the CoordinateSystemExtractor to extract CRS from shape files. The output attribute _coordsys is an abbreviated name and hard to make use of it downstream. For example. the shape file prj file has the name “NAD_1927_BLM_Zone_15N”, which is an ESRI standard name. But the _coordsys value is _NAD27.BLM-15N.ft_0. I would hope the output is NAD_1927_BLM_Zone_15N so that I can use it directly in EsriReprojector. Any idea to achieve this? I have an excel file with over 150 global CRSs that need to reprojected to WGS 84. Both the sources and transformations in this excel file use standard ESRI names. Want to use this excel file to reproject all source datasets (shape files) into WGS 84 using just one EsriReprojector for which both the source and destination CRS parameters are set directly from the excel file. If you know a solution, please send reply to my work email - allen.guan@woodside.com. I have a routine that extracts property boundaries from a web service and outputs to shp to be imported into our Property and Rating system. I do have a Geometry Validation process to repair geometries where they may self intersect or are corrupted, however there are two polygons that are not repairing, even though they pass the test. Both are like the below. The polygon doesn’t actually cross over itself. Rather, this is two separate vertices where the bottom section meets the top section, and it’s all one polygon. Is there a way to automatically fix these with FME as we can’t edit the original. My workaround is to have the tiniest buffer and dissolve so the vertices don’t touch which passes the validation test in our P&R import, but ideally we should have clean geometries.Any help appreciated. Regards, Josh

We just a installed a new ArcGIS Enterprise (11.4) environment and want to connect to it with FME 2024.2I successfully configured a Web Connection to the ArcGIS Portal using this guide.When I try retrieve Features Services from Portal this takes very long (4min) and eventually I get the an "Error Retrieving Selections” as below  I tried connecting to https://mydomain/portal/sharing/rest/portals/self directly with an HttpCaller and the same Web Connection and that gives a good response✅. So my web connection is able to connect to ArcGIS Portal successfully.Just not with the FeatureReader. And also not with a traditional reader. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hello everyone,I recently got my computer running FME Form replaced and made some observations regarding performance that I wanted to lay out since I am not sure that everything runs as it should.I am testing with a big workspace with close to 1000 transformers.Coming from an aging Intel i5 6th Gen with 32 gigs of RAM and now sporting an Intel i7 14700-K with 128GB of RAM I was expecting some substantial performance uplifts.The observation I made is this:Yes, when I only read and write locally I am seeing a good boost in performance (a little over 2 times faster). However, in production this workspace is meant to write to a PostgreSQL database over the network. Dear All,I am attempting to spatially join the nearest points based on a one-to-one relationship but cannot get it to work. Below is a graphical example of my query:I aim to join the closest yellow dot (627 records) to the nearest black dot (71,533 records). Essentially, I want the Neighbourfinder to identify the closest one-to-one relationship and disregard the others. The default settings of the transformer calculate the nearest points for all 71,533 records, which I wish to avoid. My objective is to integrate the information from the yellow dots into the black dots for only the 627 closest records. Any ideas? Thanks :)

@safe I just recognized that the SpatialRelator in 2025 does not release my Requestor attributes as before (2024 and any older version I remember).I’m used to use the SpatialRelator with the setting ‘Generate List’ checked (incl. some selected attributes) and keeping the ‘Merge Attributes’ unchecked. As a result I see all my Requestor attributes and where applicable the list attributes according to the spatial relation I’m looking for.Now in 2025 the above setting ONLY releases the list attributes and all my Requestor attributes are removed. The only way to bring it back is to check the ‘Merge Attributes’ checkbox as well, which is not my intention.I guess it’s a bug since the Transformer page still states for ‘Output’: These are the Requestor features with the new attributes added. One list entry is made for each of the Suppliers that has at least one matching predicate. FME Form 2025.0 build 25208

We are converting a number of GIS-focused Automations in FME Flow 2024.0 to use the new SDE Database Connections instead of the old PATH resource.  FME Flow is returning an error when attempting to read the new database connection properties: ‘An error occurred while attempting to retrieve the connection parameters from the connection file’ For each of the FME Flow Database Connections, we used an FME Resource, ‘SDE_GISD’, for the path reference for the connection file.  We found if we use a UNC path instead of the FME Flow resource it works as expected.  Is this a limitation or are we doing something wrong?Connection works as expected on local host, local server host, and with UNC path for the database connection within FME Flow.  Just not with using a Resource path in the connection.Error:315 2024-7-31 11:51:25 | Opening the Esri Geodatabase reader 316 2024-7-31 11:51:25 | An ArcGIS license is already checked out. We migrated from FME Server 2022 to FME Flow 2024 (FME Flow 2024.2.3Build 24825 - win64) and we have imported the 2022 backup successfully. When I now want to create a new project and I want to add a Resource path to the Project, the list of Resources to chose from is empty.I’ve looked at the request and the response contains the list of resource paths at the highest level but this list is not displayed in the UI. Hello everyone, I’ve been working with 3D Buildings recently and I’d like to add some info to the walls (e.g. indicating which wall has an entrance door). I could set up this information with the 2D Footprints by using the BoundingBoxReplacer and HorizontalAngleCalculator (I’d have used it with my 3D Buildings themselves, but it only works for 2D lines). But I can’t find the right way to add this information to my 3D walls.If I directly extrude the 2D walls instead of the 2D polygons, I lose the classification of Building_IDs that I want. If I reconvert the 2D walls into 2D polygons with an aggregator, all my info goes away and I’m back at the starting point. I tried converting the walls into points with snipping and then converting them into 3D Features with Offsetter and Bufferer such as other past suggestions, but then I hit a wall (pun unintended) becacuse SpatialRelator and SpatialFilter don’t work for 3D Data (INVALID_GEOMETRY will be written). I am having trouble writing a few rasters to a raster fgdb. Most are fine but a generate errors of undefined. But previous definition seems fine. bit of a stumper. don’t think it’s a projection issue. Any thoughts? Error on write for 1 or 2 rastersPrevious step has all as fme_aggregate and fme_type as raster. 

In the past I've received 2 file MRSID files, 1 RGB and 1 Color Infrared, this time got a 1 MRSID file with all 4 Bands. I can RasterSelector then RasterBandRemover and get the RGB, this takes a little longer as I need to pass it thru transformer. QuestionCan I read a MRSID and only select the RGB Bands and not read the Color Infrared (Apha) as if I don't need it why read it (would this speed up the Workspace processing)? 

Hi, wondering if anyone know how to limit the featurereader, I am trying to read only the first 10 rows from each table in postgres and it is still pulling back every row before passing on only 10. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance

I have many pdfs that are structured in exactly the same way.At a certain place I have to black out the text.My rough idea:- pdf-reader: define the search envelope so that only the text that has to be blacked out is read in- place black polygons at the position of the text- rewrite the pdf as a whole, with the polygons overlaying the textIs this feasible in FME ?
