I want to assign the correct town name to address that are off a street in one town but addresses are in another town. check the pic below. in attributes town left and town right both are B while town right should be A for geocoding purposes. address points a separate layer has correct town name. is there any way to correct this using FME?

Since updating our FME Form host computer with the latest version of VMWare Tools, FME Desktop, FME Data Inspector, and all other FME Form GUI software does not run.We briefly get a spinner and then nothing. For normal Reader feature types, to update for schema or attribute changes you simply go to Readers > Update Feature Types. I can't find the same functionality using a FeatureReader. Is there a way to do that? The only workaround I've found is to drop the FeatureReader and re-add it.

I have a text file that looks like this:"CommonCode":"EI","IATA":"EI","ICAO":"EIN","CarrierName":"Aer Lingus""CommonCode":"AM","IATA":"AM","ICAO":"AMX","CarrierName":"Aeromexico"I want it to look like this:CommonCode IATA ICAO CarrierName EI EI EIN Aer Lingus AM AM AMX Aeromexico I want it to create the column names dynamically from the text file as the column names will change and increase or decrease in number.In R there appears to be a command called:  “unsparsify”   Which according to this post seems to do it.https://datascience.stackexchange.com/questions/55879/file-format-where-column-names-are-repeated-on-each-rowI can do it using a combination of AttributeSplitters, ListExploders, ListIndexers, AttributePivoters and AttributeExposers.   But I can’t seem to get away from having to Explicitly input the Attribute names in the AttributeExposer and I need it to be dynamic.Any ideas?

I am reading an IFC-file using a FeatureReader with the following configurations: I am using the <Generic> port to connect it to a Reprojector-transformer. After reprojecting it, I want to use a FeatureWriter and write it as a new IFC-file. I am however stuck on how I should set up the FeatureWriter. I have managed to get a new IFC-file, but the file size is quite small. I am interested in automating the process, and want the FeatureReader to accept any types of IFC-files. Any tips on how I can solve this?

Hello FME Folks,This is related to MapInfo Tab files. Since we upgraded from FME 2018 to FME 2024.2.1. The MapInfo coordinate System (Non Earth Meters) are not detected which used to happen in FME 2018. Instead it is taking wkt_auto_1 and is misaligned. Please let me know what changed.

Hi, every day I monitor hundreds of jobs on an instance of FME Flow. Whenever an error occurs, I look in the log file of that job to figure out what went wrong. Now the problem is that sometimes that log file is empty, or only consists of a few warnings. I found out that it is related to which log-filters was configured when the workspace was uploaded to FME Flow. Is there any way to change the global log-filters on FME Flow, to make sure every workspace uses the same filter? Best regards,Jacques

Upgrading 2023 workspace to 2024.2.  When upgrading or adding a new LenghtToPointCalculator transformer and referencing existing attributes for the X/Y coordinates, FME adds 2 rejected ports to the transformer.  If you then run the workspace you get the error:Cannot have multiple factories with the same name.  Multiple factories were assigned the name 'LengthToPointCalculator_<Rejected>'  Any suggestions on how to get only 1 rejected port?Thanks.

Hi, we are using an fme flow app do to some export jobs for us.When the job is done, a mail is sent tot he user. This is done by using the transformer “emailer” after FeatureWriter. The mail contains the link to download the data. To generatet he download link we have oriented ourselves here: https://community.safe.com/automation-13/download-urlfrom-server-app-11037 Our download link looks like: {FME Server Web URL}/fmedatadownload/results/{zip file name from FME_SERVER_DEST_DIR} But when I click on the link the message „Download Dataset Expired“ appears Can anyone help us?

Hi everyone, I've just uploaded my very first custom transformer to the FME hub which I'm very excited about. However when downloading the transformer it doesn't show my name next to the community publisher. Any idea how to show my name there?A lot of time went in this transformer so a little bit of credits would be nice :) 

I have a workbench that creates a table based on a number of joins that are on occasion, filtered on an attribute. Instead of manually entering the attribute values, I’d to read a list of attributes from, say, an Excel doc e.g. NSG001, NSO001, TES001 so I don’t have lots of duplicated transformers. How do I iterate through a list of values and plug them into FeatureJoiners without duplicating lots of stuff.

Hi,I am working with FME Desktop, and at a certain point, my features have a "Month" field with values such as 10, which refers to October, 11 meaning November, and so on for all months of the year. The table that will receive this value has columns ranging from OCTOBER to SEPTEMBER. How can I make FME understand that if the column has a "Month" value of 10, the "Average" field should be renamed to OCTOBER, ensuring that the values from the recently renamed OCTOBER field are recorded in the table, which also has a column named OCTOBER? Thank´s

This monring i upgrade FME version 2024.2 to last version FME 2025.0 and after upgrade i start my workbench which include “Bentley Microstation V8” reader. FME give a message “Module 'acad/ACAD' is unavailable for use with this FME edition” why ? I resarch old topic in the Community some body had some problem at 2022. But no body give any solution way for fixed this problem. Also i found acad.dll in C:\Program Files\FME\plugins\acad. What is real problem ?  Note: After uptdate FME i am uninstall Autocad Map program from my computer. Think couldnt any relation maybe, because the Autocad differntly program.

A simple workspace created in Workbench 2024.1.1 with three FME Flow deployment parameters - a web connection using Esri ArcGIS Portal (Template), a DB connection to PostgreSQL and a Text deployment parameter - works perfectly in Workbench as well as a manual or scheduled job once published to Flow.An FME Flow app created from that workspace fails trying to access the Web and DB deployment parameters. The Text parameter works fine.  Hi everyone,I have a set of consecutive lines, and I need to detect when there is a digitization direction conflict between them. As shown in the image below, the green arrows represent the direction of my lines, but Line 2 is oriented differently compared to the others.Is there a way in FME to detect such conflicts? Ideally, I’d like to flag or filter out the lines that have a reversed direction compared to their neighbors.

Dear All,I’m  working with two datasets that share a common key: Station ID. Each dataset provides coordinates ( latitude and longitude) for these stations. My objective is to determine whether the station with the same ID have identical location in both datasets or if there are discrepancies.To achieve this, I need to calculate distance between the corresponding coordinates from both datasets. While this seems straightforward, but I encountering challenges in implementing it effectively. I would appreciate any help on the best approach.Thank you in advance.BR//  

I’m am using WorkspaceReader to document my workspaces. Is there a way determine what annotations are linked to what transformers?

  Im fairly new to FME, I have a programming background, and I was hoping to bring those skill here, but i can see is not fully the same. So I apologize before hand 😂 I have a custom transformer that does a API calls and loops until it finds “last-batch” set to true from the Header area. For Reference Here is the custom transformer:The first call uses uses the InitialHTTPCaller, which uses the the request url and access token from the main workbench. Here is a screen cap: The _response_header list will have the variables I need to determine if the its the last-batch = true and the next batch url. The JSONFragmenter, is exposing the values for _response_header{5}.value,_response_header{6}.value.I have a tester that checks if _response_header(5) is true to go the pass else it will fail and will go to Output and call upon the Loop to the NextPage.  When the NextHTTPCaller gets called it will be using the User Parameter named NextUrl of which im setting it with the @Value(_response_header

Hi, For user parameter Geometry in FME Form, you can configure what type of “selecting geometry” to allow under the GeoJSON Configuration > Geometry Types (Point, Box, Line, Polygon). But when I publish the workspace to FME Flow and set up the user parameters in Automations, the configuration for Geometry Types is missing for the Geometry User parameter.  For my example, I want only Point as a valid Geometry type for the Geometry user parameter. I publish the workspace to FME Flow with these settings and create an automation app with the same user parameters, but when I run the app the user can choose between all geometry types (Point, Box, Line, Polygon).
