Hi,I would like to ask if there is a way to share webconnections to group of users with partial permission (ie only access permission) not full permission. the issue with full permission that the shared users can be able to delete web connections I shared. I have to tried to take off their manager and create permission but still wont be able to let them do not remove the share connection.We are looking for a way can do partial permission setting up. Thank you very much. 😁 

Hello everyone, I encounter a similar problem to the following post from 4 years ago.I am able to write several output files (2 .dgn files) in FME Form. However when I publish the script to FME Flow and run  the script in the form of a workspace I only get one output result back.I already looked into the Data Download Service Properties when I publish the script to FME Flow and both writers are already included in the Writers in Download attribute. So I am not sure why I don't get both files in the zip file. The files don't have the same name. The weird thing is also that the dgn file I get back from FME Flow has the same name as the zip file, while in FME Form they get the name I have defined in the writers (Bomen.dgn and Kabels_Met_Buffers.dgn).Another finding is when I look into the translation log on FME Flow, it looks all features are written (23000 features). I know that 18000 features are in one file and 5000 features in the other file. So it looks like all feature are written, 

Has anyone run into an using the OGC WFS Reader for a WFS hosted by QGIS Server where the coords are swapped? Hello,This should be a very simple thing, but I just can't figure out how to do it!I want to append two tables together (Tables 1 & 2), both with very similar attributes, but I want to use the ID from Table 1 as the official Primary Key, and then get the highest number from that PK and increment upwards to create new PK values for the Table 2 appended values. I can get the maximum value from Table 1 using StatisticsCalculator, but I can't for the life of me work out how to use that value in the creation of the new Primary Key.I've been trying to do a conditional value calculation in Attribute Manager, something like, if Table 1 ID has a value, then PK = Table 1 ID, else use MaxValue from StatisticsCalculator and sum it with @sum(@double(@Count()),1.0) to increment up. But it's not working.Any ideas greatly appreciated!Thank you!Katrina

Hello,  How do I add a datestamp to a file name in the Excel Writer? I tried adding @Value(_timestamp) to the Writer output and all I get is the file name Bldg_Pts_@Value(_timestamp) as the file name. No date.   

Hi there, I am working on a data clean up model. Many thin areas and remnants have been cleaned up but I can't figure out how to this last thing.There are some thin areas that connect on both sides to a large and very complex polygon. (See image)Does anyone have a suggestion for how to remove these type of areas? So only the thin parts have to be removed.

Some questions that I have about this (besides the obvious: avoid crossing as much as possible, annotation, clear transformer names etc) Like is there an agreed style for public and private parameters (casing, under scores, ...)Is there an advise on how many transformers can be put in the main part and how many in a custom transformer?How many custom transformers can be nested into each other or is it advised to not do this to deep (performance impact)Any other good to implement styles?

Hello,I have a question regarding the implementation of dynamic attributes.I created a flow to turn a single attribute into text for the actual values of the column and row of an attribute; Following the pattern below: Original AttributeGoalAfter achieving this, the biggest problem is that these 'dynamic' name attributes come as unexposed attributes.Unexposed AttributesI could simply place an AttributeExposer and resolve this case, but the problem is that the flow will run in several different scenarios, and the values (A, B, C, F) will never be the same; they can vary to anything (G, H, T, Z, B, A, or K, LL, BN, XS, D).Therefore, I need the exposer to work automatically as well, but I couldn't make it receive @value(list_name); it literally exposes the value '@value(list_name)' as if it were an attribute with the name of the code. Thank you for your assistance!Best regards,

Workspace I’m uploading from FME Form (2024.0.1.0) returns this error.  Failed to update definition of database type 'Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC)' - FME Flow encountered an error and reported the following message.Database type Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC) cannot be edited.Request to http://XXXXXXXXX/fmeapiv4/databasetypes/Microsoft SQL Server (JDBC) returned status code 422. Is a workspace that has SQL Executors pointing to a SQL Server database and outputs results to a XLSX file on my laptop.Any help would be appreciated. 

This job works fine in FME Workbench 2024.2. But in FME flow, when I try to run the workspace, it’s trying to create a folder instead of a .xml file. See screenshots

We have an FME Flow Hosted instance running and I need to connect to an MS SQL Server. I have seen from the Reader/Writer documentation that MS SQL is not supported from FME Flow Hosted.Does anyone have a suggestion how we could still connect to MS SQL?The question is very relevant to us, since we plan to migrate to an FME Flow that will also run from an Linux-instance, which seems to be the cause why it isn’t possible to connect to MS SQL. N.B. Our current FME version is 2024.0.3.

Hello everyone,At our organization we work on a virtual machine. When you log on into a virtual machine, you share the virtual machine with other users. Since a few weeks we encounter sometimes black screens when trying to use FME form 2023 or FME form 2024. I googled and the problem is quite similar to Known Issue: FME Workbench 2023 Opens as a Blank Window on a Virtual Machine – FME Support Center, instead it's a black screen. The article mentions about OpenGL versions, however the specs for all our virtual machines should be the same, so I think the cause is different.When you encounter the black screen, you can only hover over the black screen and can't do much else. When you close FME Form and try to open a new FME Form sesssion, you still get a black screen. The only workaround is to log off and log into a new virtual machine where this problem doesn't occur. We already did some troubleshooting and we know one thing for sureIt's possible that fme form 2023/2024 initially worked f

Hi, I am using the attribute creator to populate a new field. I want to fill in the blank rows with the previous master property number from the master prop no field. I have enabled the adjacent features but no matter what I try it still only populates just the 1 record after a value and not all the blanks. I thought I would only need 1 based on what I’ve found on the forums.What am I doing wrong here?I also tried to do that same thing via the attribute manager but get the same result.The end result would also have row 3 (FME row id not the xlsx one) with ‘932590’ and row 6 with ‘933123’ and rows 9-11 with ‘933796’ etc with the number of blank rows varying from 1 to potentially hundreds.The settings I have for the transformers are below.I am using FME 2022.2. Thank you! Belinda

I am trying to fill in the rows of my table with the previous values. I saw this thread and I am following the instructions but for some reason I am only getting the first empty row to be filled but not any subsequent rows.  I tried to change the Subsequent Features to another value other than 0 and even tried to change the number of Prior Features but I always get the same results.I am on FME Form 2024.2.0.0 if that helps. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?  

Hello, so we have now switched from Server to Flow and all is good and great except from one bit, and that is there have been made some changes between these versions that have made my emailer workarounds from Server useless.So what we did before is that we just set up the Emailer in the workspaces and sent automatic answers in the ‘Body’ section of the Emailer such as:p>Hello Colleague</p><p>Here is your GeoJson to DWG/Shapefile datapackage:<a href="$(FME_SERVER_DEST_DIR)">Click me to download</a></p>Where the ‘$(FME_SERVER_DEST_DIR)’ was the download link for the result and it worked very well.But now on Flow it doesnt work, the email sends and all but there is no value being fed into the ‘a href’ so now download hyperlink for the message.What has changed here, is it only the value for the URL and if so what value should I be referring to now to get the result data on flow downloadable?If this has now been made very different then what should I be doi

I have a 2023.2.1 workbench that reads in a JSON file using the TextLine reader, does some FME magic and the outputs the results for FME Server (Flow) to use.2023.2.1 workbench to process JSONThe reader parameters are set to read the whole file at onceThe workbench is published to FME Flow 2023.2.1 and is used in an Automation that gets an AWS SNS message with the JSON info in the message of the SNS. The SNS is received as expected but the message appears to be reading each line as a separate source and as such it never processes the file as expected.  Any advice as to what I am doing wrong in the process?

I know it’s possible for 2023 but can’t find it for 2022.I have created a workflow that allows the user to export data into different formats (E57, CAD, LAS, XYZ) and I want to offer the option to export the data as DWG or DXF if the user picks CAD, some images below: ...then the user only has the ‘Choose the output CAD format’ enable if CAD was chosen in the first parameter. I’m on FME(R) 2022.2.5.0 (20230329 - Build 22795 - WIN64)

Hi all, I am trying to modify a workbench and re-upload it to the server (2020.1 to 2020.1) and am getting back an error that: The following readers or writers are included in an enabled service, but are not present in the workspace: [SourceDataset_JSON]Request to xxx returned status code 422. This has only happened since we updated the server from 2020.0 to 2020.1. The workbench takes incoming JSON from a notification service using a topic and subscription and runs it through the workbench and dumps it into an Esri Portal FS.  This error is odd because there is only one reader and one writer in the service.  If anyone else has seen this problem please let me know. Thanks!-Adrian

Hi,When launching a workbench using mostly SQLExecutors, with long sql statements, I can only see the first few lines for those statements on the Log file, for each SQLExecutor, but not the full SQL statement.Is this something that cannot be modified?I’d like to have all SQL lines that have been through the process.log fileworkbenchThanks,Juanma

HI All,I have prepared a workspace that allows the user to clip a LAS file and export it to LAS or DWG. I was thinking to use the GenericWriter to include the options for the user….but the transformer fails when trying to export as LAS. The reason for that is because I have included a PointCloudToPointCoercer right before the writer to make sure the points are written to DWG however the fme_point geometry isn’t allowed by the LAS format as requires point cloud geometry. Here is a visual screenshot of the workspace: I have included (for now) an additional LAS writer that skips the PointCloudToPointCoercer and writes the LAS file as point cloud geometry…How can I modify the User Parameters to allow the user to chose one writer (LAS) or the other (DWG)?  

I need to output a list of paired values as a JSON File.I have a list called JSONList with two attributes JSONname and JSONvalue.I am using the JSONTemplater to organise the data.I have the root template set as{  "publishedParameters": [    fme:process-features("SUB")  ]}and the SUB Template as{  "name": fme:get-list-attribute("JSONList{}.JSONname"),  "value": fme:get-list-attribute("JSONList{}.JSONvalue")} but I am just getting the name and value as a single line each.  How do I change the structure so each name and value pair are separated, similar to the below? {  "publishedParameters": [    {      "name": "_portalLayer",      "value": "parks"    },    {      "name": "_portalOrganisation",      "value": "SWR"    }  ]}

I am reading in a very poorly formatted JSON file which has hundreds of lines but I just want to extract some key attributes that will then be used to create a JSON file that can be passed to FME Flow to start a work bench using the extracted attributes. I am reading the JSON file in and running it through an attribute manager to get the attributes I need.
