I'm joining two features in a featurejoiner in Form (2024.2.1). In AttributeManager one is a uint8, the other is varchar(200).Both contain value '2’.In Form these featues are joined with the joiner set to Automatic mode. When the workspace is published to Flow (also 2024.2.1) suddenly they are not joined anymore. I would expect the Automatic mode to work the same way in Form as in Flow. Especially since we run the same version in both environments I can't find any registered bugs on this issue. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hey AllI have a process with the general workflow of create an SQLite database (FeatureWriter) and then run schema/index/relationship queries against it using an SQLExecutor.Initially, this was built in 2020.2 and works well (see example attached). However from ~2023.2 onwards, this logic no longer works. I get the following error when running in version newer than 2023 (including the latest 2025 releases)SQLite Reader: Failed to read a feature from the database. SQLite3 Engine error: 'attempt to write a readonly database'Looking at the database, it’s not read only, I can read/write to it with other programs. I’ve also tried it when FME is running as administrator and writing out to different folder locations.I can replace the SQLExecutor with a PythonCaller and it works fine. It also works fine when the SQL is included in the writer to run after writing. In some instances, I can using the run after writing approach, but in others I do need to do standalone calls to the db to manipulat

anyone know why Im getting these errors. Its an export to excel from gogov. Hello community,Just installed the 2025.1 beta of FME Form [FME(R) 2025.1.0.0 (20250612 - Build 25591 - WIN64)].I'm experiencing a new behaviour compared to all the previous versions: when I open a workbench it automatically fills all caches in, without me running the workbench. Luckily, it stops at the writers and does nor run them.I could not find any information about this in the change log of the latest versions.Is this on purpose or a bug? Is there any way to stop it? I do want the caches, but I want to decide which ones are created.I get these notifications in the data preview while it is doing it and after it is done:Sorry if this is repeated, I couldn't find it here.

Hi all, for a workspace-app in fme flow, i was asked whether ,and if, how it is possible to have only one upload field for all file types (.xlsx and .dwg), rather than having individual upload fields for each file type. To my knowledge, each reader in the workspace has its own upload-field in flow/the workspace-app and i can only select which are published and which are not.I tested the “Directory and File Pathnames” Reader and the “Generic” Reader, but the user should not have to select the folder, but each file individually (multiple files at once). This is needed for more user-friendliness.Hope that explaines the predicament :)Thank’s for your help!Cheers.

Hi Community,I’ve developed a workflow that enables me to connect to an external SFTP server and download all contents from a specified folder. I followed the guidance provided in the following post:The workflow functions well for a single folder. However, the SFTP directory structure includes multiple nested subfolders. I now need to enhance the automation to recursively traverse these subfolders. Please see the structure example below.  Additionally, the SFTP contains files in various formats. To handle this, I plan to use multiple StringSearcher transformers—one for each file type (e.g., .tiff, .asci, .las). My challenge is ensuring that FME iterates through all subfolders to identify and process the relevant files.Could anyone advise on how to configure FME to recursively search through subfolders and apply the appropriate filters?Many thanks in advance!

Colleagues, I'm looking for a way to sort two text columns in Excel based on a custom classification. I have a dataset with several columns, including X, Y, ID Link, GIS Portal Link, Major Company, and Sub Company. My goal is to sort the "Major Company" and "Sub Company" columns according to my own predefined order.Here's what I attempted:I used the AttributeMapper transformer to assign classification values, followed by a Sorter to sort both columns. However, it seems that FME ignored the initial sorting by "Major Company" and only applied the sort to the "Sub Company" column.What I want is: To first sort the "Major Company" column based on my custom classification. Then, within each "Major Company" group, sort the "Sub Company" column based on another classification. It’s important that the row structure remains intact—meaning if a "Sub Company" row is moved, all its related data (X, Y, ID Link, GIS Portal Link) must move with it. What is the best way to extract the path_modified_date, path_created_date, and path_accessed_date for files in a folder (these are shapefiles and zip file)? I ran the Directory and File Pathnames Reader, and it shows these attributes as missing. Is there a transformer I need to use after this Reader to extract this information?  

The FME Server docs do a good job of telling you how to uninstall and reinstall Server, whatever configuration you choose. However, if you want to migrate from last year's FME Server to the latest release, you have to backup and uninstall everything first. This might work fine for an Express install. But if you have a distributed install of FME Server, the server backup only contains the workspaces, repositories, services and supporting files from your last install. Your previous architecture's configuration isn't stored anywhere. How would you recommend backing up your previous distributed configuration settings (network locations, ports, service account names, etc) to make it easier to install the new release so you have the same configuration as before?

Can FME create folders in an on-prem Sharepoint Library? I’m successfully connecting to the library using the Sharepoint List type (Reader and Writer), and looking at written data I can see an existing folder, but I can’t use the writer to create folders.

I’ve tried multiple times to read gml file with feature reader or import that into the workspace using reader. I tried with multiple settings but failed.The gml file structure seems ok as it is loaded into old QGIS without any problems. Any advises or tips how to handle such files are welcome.

Do any of you have an idea of how I could approach this?I looked into the SharePointOnlineConnector, but it seems I can't retrieve site metadata using it. I might be missing something. 

After the update to version 2025.0.2, the writer is very very slow.  Am i the only one who noticed it?

So in one of the tutorial for creating AR, the screenshot of FME Flow has the Create AR App option in Flow Apps. But I opened my FME Flow 2025.02 version, it only appears these options without Create AR App:Is anyone having the same issue? Is there anything I did wrong? Thank you so much for the help.

Once I have upgraded my ArcGIS Pro from version 3.4 to 3.5.0, I am suddenly unable to connect to a GDB file using the ESRI Geodatabae (File Geodb) reader, as I could before upgrading (when reinstalling ArcGIS Pro 3.4, all works again). I am currently using FME Form (version 2025.0.3) (Update: Apologies - the title reads Flow, but it should be Form! - I am unable to change the title with an edit though)., which connects as expected when I have ArcGIS Pro 3.4 installed. In FME the following output is given when trying to connect with the said reader:"Unable to perform any licensing related tasks. Hey all,After upgrading from the 2024 to 2025 version, I noticed my workbench break. After doing some investigating I noticed that the PointOnAreaOverlayer transformer handles attributes differently.On the 2024 version the attributes of joined datasets would come through as ‘exposed’ attributes.In the 2025 version, these attributes were pushed into the unexposed attributes:Is this by design? Why the change?The properties of the transformer are exactly the same between the two versions. It isn’t the end of the world as I can use the attribute exposer to make it work. I was just also wondering is it normal that workbenches may break after major release changes? As this has now occurred after each last 2 major changes.

Hi, I have a bunch of workbenches which routinely read layers from our AGOL environment. There are multiple readers in the same workbench, all reading different layers. Until recently everything was doing fine, but now one reader is throwing an error. Hi I have a point cloud that I want to simplify. I need 1 point in every 1cmx1cmx1cm space/voxel. I already did something similar, but that was in 2D with point clouds containing only ground points and with the resulting point cloud as some sort of DTM.In short, I used the 2dgridaccumulator to make a grid. Then I calculated the mean Z value’s of al points in a grid tile and added that value to the centerpoint of that grid. Than I used the vertexcreator to make the new point cloud.  Now I need to do ‘kind of’ the same thing but in a 3D grid…I was looking at some transformers: pointcloudduplicateremover, pointcloudsimplifier, pointcloudspatialthinner, 3dboundingboxreplacer… I haven’t found a really good way to do this. Anyone with ideas?
