So I’ve worked with JSON in fme quite a lot, and I’ve even used the JSON syntax highlighting when trying to delve into it. What I did NOT realise though was that the JSON Syntax will automatically format the JSON for you - no need to use a JSONFormatter to help you read it.Probably this was know to others already but for me this was a nice surprise

I am trying to use attribute, which reprsents search path, to fill in the XML Path in Update section as shown in the screenshot below. But the update is failed. The original value for the element is gone.  From the translation log, I can see the following warnings. But I cannot figure out why it says about “end of file”.  Please can someone shine a light on the issue?Thanks.

I have been trying to create 4 feature datasets inside 1 file geodatabase using FME, but it looks like in FME there is no option to create an Esri feature dataset. When I have opened the feature writer, I don’t see an option to select feature dataset.I have a lot of shapefiles that I want to organize by province represented by the Esri Feature datasets and inside each feature dataset there will be points, lines, and polygons (it is not just one type of geometry).Do you know if that’s even possible in FME?

Hi, I wanted to very simply use a tester to select all records that had a date in the past week. I have tried everything but it does not seem to work.I have a date field in the correct format, I have also tried other formats via the date/time converter but it does not work. @DateTimeNow()-7 does not work.Anyone have any other suggestions? ThxNathalie

I am working with a workbench that was authored close to 15 years ago. We had to change out the SDE Readers that are pulling in our GIS features. Since changing the reader the text be written to the DGN is coming out in different sizes. I have checked the output in the inspector and although the text is visually different the idgs_text_size attribute is consistent. I have tried to override this with the DGN styler but there is something else going on. Any ideas on how to either assess or fix this would be greatly appreciated. 

Dear,I have a folder with 2208 xml files, approx. 30 GB. I read these files using a File Path Reader followed by an XML reader. From these files I select some features and save them locally. However, with my 16 GB RAM I run into memory issues. I already reduced the amount of data as much as possible within my workbench but still its not enough.Is there a method I read first 10 xml files – process them – save the outcome and go to the next 10 files, like a loop? My second question is whether it will safe memory in case I use a fanout expression or just write one final dataset with the results.My version is: FME 2023.2.1

I keep finding more and more areas where AI can enhance or simplify FME workflows. Just another example - we can ask the OpenAI API to give us expressions for RasterExpressionEvaluator and with the latest beta of FME 2024.1 (sorry, not publicly available yet), we can take the expressions from attributes. We can, for example, color a DEM by elevation. Do you want to see what AI can write for us? This is one of three expressions needed for coloring of multiple elevation intervals of the DEM. I'm migrating records from one Salesforce org to another org using FME Form. But during the translation, some of my records are passed and some are failed. Though some of the records are failed to migrate, it shows a successful translation message in translation log window. I know the number of records that are passed and failed. But the problem I'm dealing is occurring while sending email. I want to send the number of total records, passed records, failed records and along with the failed records it should also show the error that why those records failed to migrate. How can I show this information in email?

Has anyone been able to mine Oracle redo logs using logminer? I’m beginner to Oracle but it seems to me that it should be possible. I’m trying to create cdc process from Oracle to postgres and I’m able to query insert and update operations sufficiently enough from date fields that tell me when rows are updated or inserted. However, I can’t catch delete operations that way and it would be beneficial to be able to read the redo logs for the actual operations. I know I can query and compare id’s from source and target to detect deleted rows. However, this is time consuming because that would mean querying hundreds of millions of rows for the workflow.If I understood correctly, I need to setup DBMS_LOGMNR package and session for the logminer to be able to query V$LOGMNR_CONTENTS that would hold the transaction information. I guess DBMS_LOGMNR is part of Oracle database? Would that mean that I need Oracle database installed with license to be able to use logminer? The source

Following this selection, we establish a link to a deployment parameter, assigning it a local value.  Hi all, I seem to be getting a strange error when trying to attach an image from a feature layer in AGOL to Cityworks using the HTTP caller. My goal is to download and upload each unique image from the AGOL feature layer and attach it to the correct Work Order (i.e. picture of stop sign for sign work order, picture of a pothole for a pothole worker). My workflows is as follows, read in the AGOL feature layer, save each image using the AttributeFileWritter, create the work order, attach the image using the HTTP Caller. The error occurs when I try to upload the image will using a variable name in the output PATH + .jpeg extension. When I explicitly set the image in the file upload, it runs no problem. However when I use the variable name in the path I get a “ HTTPCaller_2 (HTTPFactory): [11]: HTTP transfer error: HTTP/FTP Transfer: Failed to open file 'C:\Path\To\Documents\WorkOrder_Pictures\.jpeg' for resource upload”.  Here is

My workbench creates a number of excel spreadsheets. Sometimes it fails due to users having one of the spreadsheets open when the workbench runs during the night. Though that spreadsheet cannot be updated due to the lock, it would be very useful to still be able to update the other spreadsheets rather than the entire workbench stopping completely.Can a writer error be bypassed or ignored?

Rebooted my computer, no crashes, no issues, upon reboot, FME Workbench throwing this error and not starting.  Any suggestions to fix the issue?

I am running a translation in batch and it is failing when it attempts to cleanup temporary files. Hello everyoneI hope someone can help me. I try to convert an INTERLIS (Switzerland specific dataformat) into a File-Geodatabase and got always the same error message: Could not create the File Geodatabase 'C:\Users\Documents\IBI INTERLIS\Test\ibi_saxeten.gdb'. A possible reason is that you may not have permission to create the Geodatabase. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220902'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {} Could anyone explain to me what this error message means, because I have literally no idea what causes this problem. Thanks a lot and have a nice week :) 

Hi,I’ve got a strange issue.I am using a FeatureMerger to match values from a lookup table.Then I use a DuplicateFilter to check that all the terms from the lookup table are used. And strangely, with certain non ASCII caracters, there are duplicates coming out the Unique port ! Another strange thing is that these duplicates in Unique port dont appear when I check for duplicates immediately on the lookup table.So what happens in the FeatureMerger that makes the DuplicateFilter dysfunction ? Here’s what the Excel lookup table looks like. When I replace the non ASCII caracter, the problem doesn’t appear.

Hi allDoes anyone have experience in using Google Earth Engine (GEE) in FME Desktop (I work with FME 2023.2)? I would like to access some remote sensing data in FME, process it and combine it with other data.I found out that the transformer “PythonCaller” could be used to integrate some Python code in FME. GEE advice to use the package ee/geemap for formulating requests to the engine. Accessing the GEE via Jupyter Notebook does work, but I’d rather integrate the processing in FME.Thanks for any help/advices.

 I have a workflow that takes a file in input , does a conversion , then outputs the converted file.I published this workflow to fme flow . and i want to use it to in my simple node js project : simply : the user clicks on “Choose an input File” , and chooses the file he wants to convert ; and after clicking on “Convert and download result!” , his file should get uploaded to my fme server , the workflow gets applied on it , and the resulted file gets downloaded to the users computer.  And I don’t know how to apply the workflow on the file that the user chooses , because the filepath of the reader dataset is static , and can be changed only manually in the fme flow web

Hi All,Is there any way to read multiple GDBs saved on the company Sharepoint? Does the Sharepoint need to be publicly accessible? I get an error when try to use the URL link and load the GDB,  Also I would like to know a workaround to read individual GDBs, Any Ideas?
