Hi,Im having problem with my workbench while using pointcloudcombiner. Im making 2d vector to simple 3d buildings with walls and without roof. Everything goes fine till I try to make pointcloud from walls with pointcloudcombiner. Workbench log gives only 'Error running translation', no warnings or anything else to see why there is error.. I've tried with extruded area walls, polygon walls, surface walls.. Everything gives error..As seen in picture I can't follow any reason for this error.I've readed that there is crashing with spesific graphic card and its updates. But can it be here when it only crashes with this transformer?

A customer of SBS has upgraded the ESRI client to 10.4.1FME 2014 (they use that version) is not supporting this ESRI client.Can anybody inform me about the minimum required FME version compatible with ARCGis 10.4.1?Thanks.

Hi there!  In a generic export workbench, I need to use a FeatureWriter to filter when a JPEG2000 output is selected. No problem to export in JPEG2000. It works perfectly. Althought in this case, I need to generate a world file after so I added a RasterPropertiesExtractor transformer, but Ive got a error: "@RasterProperties: Failed to obtain raster from feature. Only features with raster geometry are expected" ? Obviously it's raster geometry: the image has been exported. I added a GeometryFilter to filter on Raster but still got the error Could it be a limitation to the new FeatureWriter transformer?

There are, say, 600 records (this number is variable) in an Excel document. I would like to concatenate an attribute value with a URL, 4 records at a time (e.g. [first portion of URL]1,2,3,4[second portion of URL]). Is there a way to accomplish this?

My goal is a colored 3D DWG. This is my current workflow:Read a SHP (containing polygon features) and an Excel fileJoin them to give the SHP features a color attributeUse the color attribute with DWGStyler to color the featuresSave as DWGThis works.. somewhat. When I don't color anything, the result turns out as expected. When I color just the lines, I get the expected result as well. However when I fill the polygons, some of them end up flat at height 0. What could be causing this?

I am trying to insert an object into Smallworld that needs a point. I have done this successfully many time but this particular object or set of objects is more dificult. I need to be able to save a point that is coming in from microstation to be used for more than one object in Smallworld. The error I am currently receiving is "Trail must contain at least 1 point" Any suggestions/help would be appretiated.

This is a new feature in civil 3D allowing you to attach any data template to all objects and entities in civil3D. Not only alignments, corridors, surfaces... but all plain Autocad Entities as well. Hi everybody ,One question , anybody knows how could I create feature class that are included in the diagram FME but , like no transform elements of that featureClass , don't create the feature class in the output.I'll explain better , in my actual FME I have diferent feature class of output line VegeLin , etc. I have seen that if the transformation don't send elements to this feature class in the GDB of output I haven't this feature class , and only are created the feature classes that has take elements from the transformation.Thanks in advanced for your help.Regards !!!

Hello,I am reading in DGN files using the Bentley MicroStation Design (V8) Reader and am writing to PDF's. For some reason, FME is converting the dimension text to decimal numbers as it reads the DGN (i.e. 3'-6" is read as 3.5) - I can't even get it to appear correctly in Data Inspector. I tried bringing in the dimensions as an aggregate (Unchecked "Drop Dimensions" parameter on the writer), but when I exploded igds_dim_text{}, the text_string attribute was still a decimal number... I have attached screenshots below - the image on the left is viewed within MicroStation, and the image on the right is from FME Data Inspector. Does anyone know how I can get the dimension text to come into FME exactly as is appears in MicroStation?

Hey all!You all have helped me out a lot last time and today I again came across a problem which is why I'm posting again. The situationBasically there is a report that has to be created through exporting data from a database and putting it into an excel sheet. I want to automate this through FME.So I added in two 'sqlcreators' which grab the neccesary data from the database. In the excel writer I want to write the data into specific columns. The issue is that again its going to stack the data on top of each other. I tried to use a featurmerger but obviously it does duplicating checks and thats not necessary. The only thing FME has to do is putting data from 'SQLCreator' in collumns A, B and C and putting the data from 'SQLCreator' into the columns E, F and G without stacking the data.So how fme does it like this now:

Hi All, we are using Smallworld 5.1 and we need to import data to Smallworld with FME. I have downloaded and installed FME 2016.1 , after that i have copied "sworldswaf.dll", "sworldswaf.fmf" files from Smallworld installation path to FME path (dll file to C:\\Program Files\\FME and fmf file to C:\\Program Files\\FME\\metafile). After that when i opened FME Work Bench and trying to add the Smallworld reader, it is not showing the Smallworld reader. Please help me in this regard. Thanks in advance.

FME 64bit hangs reading or writing to Geodatabase SDE (Oracle). I have ArcGIS 10.2.1 with background processing installed? When I run the workspace it hangs. Why is it hanging?The two last lines in the log file are:INFORM|An ArcGIS license is already checked out. The product checked out is 'Advanced' 2016-09-19 INFORM|Installed ArcGIS version is '10.2.1'

What happened to the Autodesk GIS Design Server (VISION) GINA(General INterchange and Archive) file format in FME 2016

My workbench uses an s3downloader to acquire a DWG, then uses a FeatureReader (Autocad DWG) to read in model space data, then I add a few layers to model, using a FeatureWriter (Real Autocad DWG) with original DWG as a template, and finally upload updated model to s3, using an s3uploader.The workbench completes without any errors in the log, but my updated model does not contain any of my original layers. It only contains the newly added layers. Further, the log states the following, "No AutoCAD Template file specified". Yet, the FeatureWriter has a template file specified (I save the template file as a parameter).Any thoughts? Thanks for your support!

Hi,I'm now working at Stedin, one of the Dutch electric and gas grid operators.I'm trying to do some analysis of land rezoning using the Dutch national development plan. Basically I want to checking if agricultural land has changed to industrial or residential use. The data is available to download from PDOK; however the GML file available (Enkelbestemming.gml) is 6Gb. I'm able to read and write 1.2 million of the polygon features with FME Desktop 2016.1 but then I get the following error:Error in input dataset:'file:///C:/Apps/Temp/Bestemmingdata/Enkelbestemming.gml' line:43002043 column:24505 message:input ended before all started tags were ended; last tag started is 'gml:posList''Is there anything I can do to fix this file or do I need to contact the data owner which is the Kadaster? I don't have a file editor

I have a KML transformation workspace that seems to create the placemark (lat/lon) in the correct location looking at the text of the KML, but when it renders in Google Earth doesn't appear in the correct place. Has anyone seen this before. I have attached the KML. The icon should be placed on the final position of the aircraft which is close to Riverside Airport. Instead it places it closer to the beginning of the flight.

Hi,I'm trying to write existing features into a relationship class with the new SDE writer. My source and destination features already exist, and I want to populate the relationship class with the known PK of each features, but it seems impossible with this writer. I follow this article : https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/28340/working-with-geodatabase-relationship-classes-atta.html, but it seems we can only write to relationship class if we also write the corresponding features in their tables.Is there any way to write to a relationship class like a regular table?Thanks
