Hello,Is possible to inform or write jpeg_exif_xresolution and jpeg_exif_yresolution header in a jpg image created with FME Server?Thanks in advance 

I have 2 buildings, each with its own IFC file and I am able to convert them individually from IFC to LOD2 CityGml.Those 2 buildings are part of the same neighborhood, and I would like to have them combined in a single CityGML file.I have basically combined the 2 individual workbenches in a new workbench so the transformation run in parallel, to have 2 building features in a single GityGml file. A cityGML is generated which is 6000KB but there is no geometry.Anyone know how to fix that?

I have a point cloud of a surface which has been derived from pix4d photgrammetry software. There is a large amount of noise and outlying points generated, which when triangulating a surface creates a bumpy surface. These point clouds are for relatively flat ground surfaces. Unfortunately pix4d does not have an easy solution to remove of such outlying pointsTo help smooth the point cloud and the resultant end data, is there a way to filter the point cloud to remove these outliers if i know the maximum slope of the surface? Or if this is not possible that the elevation difference between points is too large? Thanks.

I want to create (user) parameters for selecting a table (feature type) from an Esri geodatabase (gdb). So I would like to see a dialog which asks for an gdb and afterwards show a list with all the feature types (tables) from the selected gdb.How to do so? I am able to create a parameter for selecting a gdb but how to add a list of the feature types which are part of the gdb and select one? Any idea?Best regards,Frank

Hi,my wb reads an ESRI-SDE Feature-Dataset-->Feature-Class --> table. I want to write this table as a gdb. (ESRI-SDE-Reader and GDB-Writer) But the gdb has the same structure like the source:GDB-Name--> Feature Class -->table. Is their any Chance to write the gdb with following structure:GDB-name--> table?Thanks for helpBarbara

Hi, I am currently trying FME2017 Beta and especially the 3D-Tiles. My Problem is that I am trying to generate a simple box in the middle of brussel and trying to view it in Cesium. I see Cesium loading the tileset file and the tile, but nothing is shown in the viewer.Is there any example of a working model + Cesium viewer to view the data?Thanks.Vincent.

Hi All, I have ESRI shape files with polygon geometry type, i need to extract the text from them and need to import the text to Smallwrold. In Smallwrold, the geometry type is annotation, i'm using the transformer "Label Point Re placer", features are imported to Smallworld, but when trying navigate to a feature, getting message "The selected object do not have the geometry in the map" in smallworld. Please suggest how to import text from Shape files to Smallwrold. Thanks in advance. @takashi @itay

Hello  I have a GM-access-table that I want to import to oracle. Instead of the original auto-number ID, I want to use an UUID in oracle, which I generate with the UUIDGenerator, and save it in a raw-type field.  How do I do this, as in FME raw-type columns are not shown?  Thanks in advance! Vera

Hi,I'm trying to do some reporting in Excel using FME and an Excel file as a template.The template is quite simple with some formatted fields, a logo, few combined fields.The Excel writer writes the data after the formatted rows (B12).Everything works fine, until I add a formula in the field D11 (as simple as =Sum(D12;D100)). Then, Excel throws an exception when loading the generated files and the formatted fields are no longer formatted.The exceptions I get is in french but could translated to : "Sorry... We found a problem in the file "xxxxx.xlsx" but we can try to recover data if the file is safe". After a data recovery, the data is there, the sum is calculated, but the fields are not formatted anymore (probably because of the recovery...), the logo is gone. The recovery log is stating that the is a major failure at Line 1, Col 0. Nothing more.Any ideas on what can cause this behavior ?Thanks for your help.RegardsPhilippe

Ok, so this is the situation:I have a workspace that is completely functioning in FME Desktop. In this workspace, a lot of writers are implemented, creating folders and output. Some examples:- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/Validation/Validation.html (for a html writer)- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/Delta/ (for a esri shape writer)- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/output.gdb (for a file geodatabase writer)De folder "output" already exists, but the folder "$(DateString)" not yet. The DateString is made in a small Private Parameter script.In FME Desktop, this results in all my folders being created and files being made exactly how I want it. However, when I do this using FME Server, only my geodatabase writer seems to write anything (and often not all the features that should be in it!) in my output folder. The other data is only available as a downloadlink after the run (which is not how I need it to be). Any idea h

I have combined a las file with a aerial photo using the PointCloudOnRasterComponentSetter and would like to save the result as a 3d pdf. The results looks great in the data inspector but now i´d like to share it.What would be the best method?

The workspace completes successfully and FME's Data Inspector can select the layer.

I got two layer - one GeoTiff with DTM from Lidar data, the other is a shape file or another surface layer. I want to compare them (in ArcGIS or QGIS) you find procedures like "cut and fill" - in the end you got a summary of shapes and their volumes (positive = fills, negative = cuts). I need this for a couple of projects in my job - plan a road and calculate the bilance of the material or compare Lidar data for change detection. (I hope my English isn't to bad.)Thank you!

Hi,I am creating a process to 'clean up' our microstation v7 dgns - remove duplicates, unwanted data on wrong levels etc.When I read the v7 dgns then write back to v7, I am losing any dimensions. They are changing from idgs_element_type 33 (dimension) to 4 (lines).I have the 'drop dimension' unticked.Has anyone experienced anything like this? Am I doing something wrong?Any help would be really appreciated.KRAmgaad

Hi guys, I have a textured .obj file. I would like to add watermark (logo of company or author name) on top of texture and set transparency to ~ 50% to not cover completely my textured model. I was thinking to use appearance setter but i can't find a good setting to achieve my goal. I don't want to edit mesh, change number of triangules or set different coordinate system etc. Anyone have idea how to make it?Cheers, Magda

Hi, In FME 2016.1 and probably earlier releases too, it is found that if the user lacks permission or if a featureclass is unavailable in an ArcSDE Geodatabase thats has been configured in one of the Readesr in the workspace , FME only tends to issue a 'Warning'. I would expect this to be a more serious kind of Error ( Not warning) and report a failure and abort the translation. Is there a reason why the Validation(Checking for existence/permission) of a featureclass in a Reader is not available and not treated seriously?
