I'm setting up a dev server and wanted to import a certificate. I followed the steps but when i import keytool -import -alias tomcat -keystore tomcat.keystore -file <name> I get an error "signed fields invalid". Also, because the IT Contracting agency manages the certificates they applied it to the server i needed to export the PFX file to use in the keytool script. Any thoughts???
How many instances of the EMF can be run at the same time? I'm using Windows 2012 R2, and every time I open another instance of FME, it opens one that is already running. I can never open another instance. I'm using a temporary license on another machine, is it because of this?
Trying to set "WeekOfMonth" attribute for ALL features based on attribute "feature[-1]._4weekly_cycle" value, which today is "2". I am using the adjacent feature attributes capability in "AttributeCreator" transformer. Getting "Bad variant index in get" error in log file. If I set default value to "2", it works. Something not write with handling "feature[-1]._4weekly_cycle" value.
I am have been trying to stand up a FME Server Docker environment to migrate our current FME Servers setup too. I am using the 2018.1.0-20180801 image builds that include a Nginx container to handle SSL. I have also converted the provider docker compose yaml file to a Hashicorp Terraform configuration (as we use this technology for provisioning/orchestration). We have also made a few modifications to the FME Engine container so that a persistent Kerberos ticket is created on the container for authentication to our MS SQL Server databases. This issue I am seeing with both our modify FME Engine image and the default FME Engine image is that any active engine running on one of the FME Engine containers will eventually shut down. The FME Engine container will still be registered as an engine host with the FME Core but no active engines will be running on the FME Engine container (even though 1+ are requested). I can restart the engine service on the container, and it will appear as an acti

If I close the system crash box (pasted above) the workbench carries on as normal
We have 2 floating licenses FME desktop in use. During the night we run workbenches on two servers. Normaly no problem but now we get licensing errors. Is it possible to show a logging file of the license usage during a certain period?
I am look at installing the Floating License Utility "Floating License Installer for Windows 64-bit build: 11.15" and would like to know whether it is supported for install on Windows Server 2016? I can't seem to find any pre-requisite doco for this.Cheers,
I am attempting to use FME to automate the process to create and upload data into our Socrata Open Data account.I have been following the details in this guide: https://dev.socrata.com/blog/2014/10/09/fme-socrata-writer.html and other similar demonstrations from SAFE software.I am receiving a consistent error within FME which states 404, 'User not found' when the browser login credentials for Socrata are provided. This error is generated when trying to create a new dataset and when updating an existing one on Socrata. I have noted that the FME output states that it is using an app token which is different to the app token which is generated in the associated opendata.socrata.com account. I have not been able to locate any options to correct the app token. Another user identified the same issue here: https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/3557/socrata-writer-app-token.html although understanding was that app tokens were not required for the HTTP Basic authentication which the FME
I have an FTPCaller configured and attempting to download a file from an FTP site. I've installed the certificate on the machine that I am running this workspace. I receive an error stating: <HEAD><TITLE>FTP Error</TITLE></HEAD> <BODY BGCOLOR="white" FGCOLOR="black"><H1>FTP Error</H1><HR> <FONT FACE="Helvetica,Arial"><B> Description: Policy requires SSL. </B></FONT> <HR> <!-- default "FTP Error" response (502) --> </BODY> I setup a site in Filezilla (same machine) and it works fine. Any thoughts? @takashi
Good morning,I am having a problem running a workbench on FME server. I receive an error code that says "File C:\\Program Files\\FME\\metafile\\searchEnvelopeNative.fmi could not be opened". The workbench runs fine on desktop but not on FME server. FME Server is running on a build of 2018.1.0.1 Build 18528 and FME Desktop is 2018.1.0.0 - Build 18520.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,David Prosack
I have loaded FME 2018.1 64 bit and need to add attribute indexes after loading a filegeodatabase. This can be done with an (existing) shutdown python script. As long as the python compatibility is set to 2.7 or 3.4+ to get rid of the FME warning. The script needs to be python 3 which simply requires brackets around any print statements. But now that FME calls the newfangled ArcGISPro 64 bit arcpy libraries I have to log in the the Esri Portal first. How can I do this from FME? (I did find a workaround by simply starting up ArcGIS Pro which requires a Portal login and then it did run successfully)I tried arcpy.SignInToPortal_server("username","password", "") but that function was not found. Besides imbedding the credentials in the script is not ideal.
I've got FME workbench installed and licensed on a CentOS7 machine an Amazon EC2. I've successfully run models through command line, but I would ideally like to have the actual FME GUI. I followed these instructions to install a the gnome gui and connecting through VNC https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-and-configure-vnc-remote-access-for-the-gnome-desktop-on-centos-7#step-8-%E2%80%94-securing-vnc-sessions-through-ssh-tunnelingWhen I click on the FME workbench application in the gui it crashes when it tries to load the main window.Do I just need to use something other than gnome?
Is there a reason why this wont work: fmeserver.init() for my server i.e. "http://my_machine_name"? This seems to work for server url: "https://demos-safe-software.fmecloud.com".Anything simple that I am missing here? No issue with the tokens. I don't get any error message. It just doesn't seem to initialize my server.
How to configure HTTPS and add CA issued SSL certificate to docker containers of FME Server 2018?Is there a better option than configuring manually and adding persistent volumes for changed folders?
Hello,For a distributed installation of FME Server, what are the database requirements? I imagine it will vary a bit based on number of jobs, engines, and such, but is there a rough guideline for the volume of data the server will need to store?
I am attempting to configure an email subscriber. I have been following the tutorial concerning this. I have used the snippet of JSON in the tutorial to successfully send/receive email. I can remove the foo@bar.com address from the "email_to" parameter and it successfully uses the setting in the subscriber for the "To:" parameter from the foo@baz.com address. So, email is crossing the SMTP Server (Relay) I've configured in the subscriber. I can even place a personal gmail address as the "From:" and it successfully sends the email. However, when I try to configure the "From:" using an existing email address on our domain.....no dice.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I have experienced that setting (windows) system variables HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY overrides the proxy settings in (some parts of) FME Workbench / Server. For example the HTTPCaller seems to use the proxy settings from the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY system variables, even if the options in FME Workbench are different. The same is described in the GML Reader's documentation. In this documentation is stated that the GML reader follows up on the http_proxy environment variable. When I do set these variables then the HTTPCaller transformer (and the FMEServerJobSubmitter) is not able to reach local adresses anymore (it will try to use the proxy for everything). Even if I fill provide a bypass list in NO_PROXY. For example, then FME Server's dashboard statistics gathering workspaces do not work. So it seems to ignore the NO_PROXY variable.I need to set the HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY and NO_PROXY enviroment variables because some of my own (embedded) Python scripts use them. For exampl
I have renewed my maintenance license and want to install FME desktop 2018 (using 2017.1 now).I am looking for the download of the setup, but the only thing I can find is the Trial version.
Hi,We have a FME Server 2016 with 4 licensed engines. We are standing up a new FME Server 2018 and we would like to transfer some of the engines running on the 2016 server to the new server. Is that possible?

We would like to translate a citygml file - but we cannot enable the FME CityGML Importer with the files supplied by FME (.oemlic and .dat). It does not recognise them as liscense files. Has someone managed to do that? Could this Person please post a help? Kind regards, L. Muller
Hi!Having a hard time getting FME Desktop to play along with my Fedora 28 Installation. Used to be ok with FME 2017 and Fedora 27 but after upgrading, FME 2017 Workbench seems to install OK but won't start. FME 2018 won't even install with the following:/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.0TKvDW: line 8: pip3: command not founderror: %prein(fme-desktop-2018-2018.0.1.1-18312.el7.centos.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 127Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package fme-desktop-2018 Some weird python package manager issue perhaps??Also when I remove the faulty 2017 install of FME it ruins my QGIS 3 installation in the process. I'm fully aware of the fact that officially FME is only supported on Ubuntu LTS, but it should definetly also be working on Fedora IMHO. Any feedback appreciated.Regards,Stian
If I wanted to know how the technical specifications for previous versions of FME (Desktop and Server), where can I find that information?
Is there a way to make FME Server move emails to a certain folder or even delete them once they have been read by the IMAP publisher? There is no such option in the publisher settings. Is there maybe a trick to do the same using a custom transformer?
