How many instances of the EMF can be run at the same time? I'm using Windows 2012 R2, and every time I open another instance of FME, it opens one that is already running. I can never open another instance. I'm using a temporary license on another machine, is it because of this?

Do you mean an instance of Workbench? You should be able to open multiple instances without a problem. The only time I get the same instance is when I double-click on a workspace that is already open. And licensing shouldn't have any effect. Only multiple instances of processing engines would be affected by that.

For the Data Inspector, generally Workbench sends the data to the same instance, regardless of whether you open a second instance of the Inspector.
