Hi there, With Covid, all our employees going to work need to fill a survey about their health status now. Every day. It's the same for kids going in summer camp for activities. So we've been asked to develop a survey that could change in time, depending on the kids that subscribed to the activities. The subscribed kids are exported into an Excel file every week. For the same activity, one week it could be 40 kids, the next one it could be 80. I thought to read the file with FME and push the kids into the survey every week. That way the list of kids in the survey could change without our help. And the kid (or his parent) could select his name to fill the survey. The issue is that we don't know any survey plateform able to change automatically from a script. Do you know if any kind of plateform could change when FME push new values into it? Survey123, Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey or something else? Thanks.

I need to set new timestamps to a set of polylines that is to become gpx files and have two questions:1. How do I set what end is the begining of the line?2. Is there some way to start the timestamp at a specified time? Say I wanted it to begin at 01-01-2000?

Hi. I have seen a thread in which they explain that for converting from polygon to multipolygon you only have to choose the geommetry type in the writer parammeters (on FME2019). The thing is that I can't see that option. Is multipolygon not available on FME 2018.1? If not, how can I convert a polygon to a multipolygon? Thanks! 

Hi All,  I have a table contains 3 fields like (id, value1, value2). In that table I have some duplicate records with combination of  fields (id & value1) and the field value3 contains numeric values, these may differ or same. I have requirement like  to find the largest value record from the duplicate records of combination of  fields (id & value1).  Can any one please suggest the approach that how to find the largest value record.  Thanks, Seshu

Hi,Is it possible to get a georeferenced image/ static map from the image fetcher - or something similar?I've used the coordinates of a bounding box, and a Bing Maps API key to fetch an image but it isn't georeferenced.I've tried georeferencing it afterwards but the process completely distorts it so ideally I would like to avoid this step if possible.Thanks,

Hi,I have an attribute (string type) with values such as 37908.907836. If I use an AtributeRounder, I can reduce it to 37908.907. That's ok. But if I convert the string type to double type, the decimals comes again... I have tried to convert first and to apply the AttributeRounder later but it doesn't work. Any suggestion? Thanks!

Hi, I have 2 sets of data. One is income grid (1 square mile area) other is the 50m point bin data showing point locations of potential client addresses. I need support on achieving the following:- create a polygon from bin data overlaid on income area grid and assign median income value to each of these polygons.- Polygons can be created based on the density of the clients close to each otherThanks in advance if anyone can help me with thatJohn

Hello everyone,please, I just wanna use ShortestPathFInder to find shortest path between 150 points. FME needs to get clean road (line) topology to get right path. But, Ive got road network, where are tunnels and bridges that crosses roads on surface.Please, is there any way, how to compute path which uses bridges, tunnels and roads on surface together? I have experience that FME can trace path only network at the same level, or am I wrong? Thank You so much!Lubo

Hi.FME supports lists in both a generic format (e.g. list{}) and as lists with attributes (e.g. list{}.value).Is it possible in Python to get the latter form from a feature as a dict using just the simple format ?E.g. from a feature attribute ( list{0}.value, list{1}.value, ... ) into _myvar = feature.getAttribute("list{}") -- returning {"0":"value0","1":"value1",...} etc.Just using "list{}" returns None as is.Cheers

I am trying to use the SurfaceDraper for a project but it wont do anything. The input arrow for Breaklines is red so I that seems to be the culprit. I cant see why breaklines should be mandatory? A polyline and a DEM raster should be enough to do the draping? Is there a workaround for this? 

Hi, i make a normal AutoCAD to AutoCAD conversion but i have Problems with circles…... circles move completely on a different place (e.g. ca.80000m to the left)when i stroke them with an ARCStroker they land on the Right Position BUT i dont want to have 2000 circles which are split into massive lines…..  so anybody any helps or Workarounds?Greetz and CheersFranco 

Hi guys, I have created all the vertices (point features with z information) on my line feature. Now i would like to create 3D polyline feture from existing line.1. I would like to maintain line feature and its attributes - so an option of creating line from points is not an option.2. Hi,  is there a way to expose the file type suffix (e.g. ".shp") after the file has been created and zipped with the FeatureWriter? The "_dataset" attribute only yealds the .zip suffix whereas _feature_type attribute does only show the file name without the suffix. Thank you for your help.

Hi,I have boxes shp and building shp.(Jpg_1_1)I want to cut the buildings according to the box limits but I want the buildings that touch the box limit to stay in that box. A building can be in more than one box. (jpg_1_2)I use clipper but cut buildings according to the box borders .(jpg_1_3)  Finally, I want to export according to the box names .Example: (1149334,1149935)

I want to create boundaries on some point cloud data (see https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/109029/how-to-create-disjoint-boundaries-of-disjoint-clus.html ) Note that the point cloud data were previously stored in an oracle dabatse as multipoint For some reason, the ETL get stuck during the boundary polygons creation with the HullReplacer My datasets is very big (~ 26 millions of points). I would like to know if there are some transformers like pointcloudthinner for single multipoint in order to reduce the density of the input points or if there a reverse transformer for pointcloudcoercer so that I can reconvert first the single multipoints to a pointcloud and then use for instance the PointCloudThinner before sending the data to a Hull replacer Thanks

Hi guys,I've seen that the transformer "OffsetCurveGenerator" creates me some gaps on one of the offset lines generated.Here are the parameters set:The input line from a ESRI Shapefile, which makes the issue (nothing really complex..):and here is the one on which has been created gaps (PINK) right side, and (BLUE) the Left side with no gaps:As you see, the other MultiCurve line, well created is the LEFT side from the transformer output. But the RIGHT side (pink) is created with gaps.I need to say that I tried to isolate that line, and the output stays the same.I use FME Desktop 2015.1.0.1 - WIN64 - Build 15480.Thanks for the help,

Hi,My question is so : What is the best way to recover all the points of a point cloud (las) within 5 centimeters of a facade (stl)?Among three ideas, only one seems to work (taking 1h30 of calculation for three million points and 96 facades)PS: A facade is composed of two triangles in STL formatThis idea is to start from the stl, to extract the 6 points of the two triangles, to keep only the 4 unique ones composing the plan thanks to PythonThen go through a "TinGenerator" before using an extruder on either side of the Tin surface in order to "Clipper" the point cloud with the 5 cm extruded planesBut this solution seems particularly time-consuming to me given the lack of input. i have network properly noded and i got paths by short path finderbut some points has two paths and i would like to get the two paths if it is possible ,how could i do that?  i read some where that i can remove the path after it founds but i am not sure how could i do thatFME 2018Thanks in advance 

Looking at migrating one of my clunky ArcGIS scripts over to FME but is betraying my lack of experience with Raster Transformers!It's somewhat straightforward I think, I just am looking for what the key Transformers are for the 2 following Steps:Subtract from a DEM Raster's Cell values the values in overlaying PolygonsBuild "Filled" Contours (ie. Polygons that contain Cell elevation values within certain range intervals)Use case is water pressure contour generation. Hydraulically this is the imaginary Hydraulic Grade Line which at most times of the day is almost a flat surface (Hence the 2D polygons with an HGL attribute value) and subtracting the local Elevation from that (from the DEM) derives the local Water Supply Pressure.My ArcGIS process migrating from builds a second Raster out of the Polygons, and uses that in a Raster Subtract ArcGIS Geoprocessing Tool to create a 3rd raster with the Delta Cell values, and then create Filled Contours from that, but I suspect

FME(R) 2020.1.0.0 (20200305 - Build 20510 - WIN64) When using the BulkAttributeRenamer with a variable prefix. The prefix doesn't get added on the attribute but shows in the inspector.  Any thoughts?

Dear community,  is there a way how I can set a data type (integer, char, float, ...) in a transformer?  Usually I create the data type in the Feature Type Properties menu of the Writer. On some occassion, it would be helpfull if I could set the types manuelly in a transformer, so that the writer recognizes the formats automatically.  I do not want to tell every writer which format it has to be. We can of course tell a single writer all the data types and then copy the attributes from one Writer to another. This one should work.  But can I set the data type to a specific type in a transformer before I write the data out?  Thank you very much for your help.  Kind regards, ThomasK
