Where are the dashboard workspaces? statusMessage File Dashboards/JobHistoryStatisticsGathering/JobHistoryStatisticsGathering.fmw could not be opened

When I try and run the dashboard workspaces they fail with statusMessage File Dashboards/JobHistoryStatisticsGathering/JobHistoryStatisticsGathering.fmw could not be openedWhen I look around the FME Server files I cant find any of the dashboard workspaces. Where did they go? Where can I get them?

MQTT and FME Flow (hosted)

Hi I’m interested in using MQTT connector to retrieve IOT messages and then publish to ArcGIS Online. Resolve Domains Function Replication of FCs in EGDB

Hi all,I am working on a script to replicate a set of feature classes from one enterprise geodatabase that we use for transactional editing purposes to another enterprise geodatabase that we use for publication purposes for the organization. This replication script would be scheduled in FME Server to run on a nightly basis.The issue is that the feature classes I plan on replicating have several domains and subtypes applied to them that don’t translate correctly.I’ve been advised to use the ‘Resolve Domains’ functionality and change the configuration from ‘coded domain’ type to ‘char’.My test workflow involves the below:Copying the feature class via the ‘Import Feature Class’ tool in ArcGIS Pro into the target Enterprise Geodatabase to have the feature class available in both geodatabases With FME:Selecting the ‘Resolve Domains’ checkbox in the Writer at the outset, and using the ‘Insert’ and ‘Truncate Existing’In the Writer configuration, changing the ‘coded domain’ type to ‘char’ and

dynamic crs to separate data stream

I am reading datasets and can extract the crs (stateplane) from them. but I need to use a spatialrelator for data that is in WGS. I need to be able to determine incoming crs and set a reprojector on the wgs data right before the spatialrelator. In the past i have only been able to accomplish this by stringing together more than 1 workbench.Any ideas on how to get this done in 1?

Choosing the Correct Transformer for removing Overlapping Line Vectors in FME

Hello. I have three line vectors in SHP format (Red, Yellow, and Green). All of them are 100% overlapping in plan, but some are shorter than the others.Which transformer should I use to remove the overlapping area from the Green line that intersects with the Yellow line, and from the Yellow line to remove the overlapping area with the Red line? Please refer to the sketch below.I tried with Clipper but it didn’t work. Thanks in advice!

Hello,I created a model and I want to export it as citygml, but the model does not appear in the FZK gml viewer. How can I solve this problem? Am I making a mistake in the writer? I added my data and FME WB. Could you please check it and share what I am missing?

As per my knowledge, FME does not supports reading Multi-part Annotation features from Geodatabases (File or Enterprise).Is there a way or workaround to handle reading and writing Multi-part Annotation features?

change coordinate format DM -> DD

Hello, I'm sure it's a pretty simple question, but somehow I can't see the wood for the trees to find the answer.I have a list (.xls) of coordinates in the form <name>, <x_coord>, <y_coord>. The coordinates are, for example, in the form N 51° 06.796 E 3° 14.545.Now I want to save the information in an FGDB and would have expected the VertexCreator to help me with this. Unfortunately, all my values are completely rejected. My further attempts - removing all spaces; using the HUB Transformer "DegreeFormatter" or Decimal Degrees Calculator all failed. For this reason, how do I manage to get the coordinate format into a form so that the VertexCreator accepts it? Thank you very much.

How can i change the unit of an IFC file to meter

Hi there,I have a question about the unit of coordinate in the iFC file, which i wanna clippe with another solid. The coordinates are 1000 times bigger, and the clipper could thus not find overlaps. How can I adjust the coordinate value: using the expression evaluator, and divide all the coordinates with the value 1000? if tho,How can I access all my coordinates because I could not find an attribute that enables that? I also tried the coordinate extractor but it is only another copy of the coordinate values, which doesn't update the geometry coordinate value in the IFC . If anything i understand it wrong pls point it out! thanks in advanceFang

FeatureWriter and Esri ArcGIS Server Feature Service with dynamic schema fails when layername contains space

I have logged a support case about my problem, but figured I might as well check to see if anyone else have encoutered this problem:I am writing a workspace to geosynchronize a Feature Service with a database. The Feature Service contains about 30 layers that need to be updated, so I have put my bet in for a dynamic workspace, since the operation is the same for every layer. This saves me a lot of transformers and makes the maintenance of the workspace much simpler.My challenge here is that both the FeatureReader and FeatureWriter requires the name of the layer to be passed in as a parameter, not the layerid, which would not be a problem. Almost all of these layers have names containing, at least, one space, and this is what is causing my trouble.On the reader side, I can enclose the layer name in double quotes, like “My Layer”, and this works without problems.On the writer side, however, things are messed up. Is it possible to return FME 24 to a Classic View?

I’ve been dabbling in the latest release of FME Form 2024 for a little while now and I’m just not getting the benefits of the new look, specifically the removal of colour from most icons.I could go into personal reasons why colour helps myself with attention to detail, concentration and focus but I’m just wondering if it’s possible to get a classic look while utilising any new functionality.

Adding in a custom coordinate system

Hi All, I’ve tried to add in a custom coordinate system and it just doesn’t work. I’ve restarted my computer twice and the co ordinate system won’t come up in the csmap reprojector. I would love to use the online webform that has been created, but I am unsure at which username and password is required to log-in. My usual FME doesn’t work. I’ve created a file in the FME folder in documents and edited both coordinate files in the reprojector folder. Can fme read whether a cell has comments or notes in an Excel xlsx document?

I have a giant spreadsheet that many people have added notes or comments to by right-clicking on the cell and saying "new comment" or "new note". Is there a way for fme to figure out which cells have comments?

Hello All,I want to complete this in FME similar to how I did it in ArcPro below using Select by Location Calculating the percentage of area in each Grid Determine the number of pixels within each grid Calculate the % of areas within each grid by dividing the number of pixels by 111 111 and multiplying by 100 Generate the density map with density classes: 7 categories Example: if the grid has 35 000 pixels, then the percentage is 31.50%thanks!

Is there a generic way to reference attribute name (not the value held by the attribute) of a selected attribute in an AttributeManager condition?

I want to use the same condition for each attribute, with the only variation being the attribute/field name of the attribute to which the condition applies.

Merge features from Table A using a field value to Table B if the Table A value matches one of a set of comma delimited values in a field in Table B

A have one dataset (Dataset A) that has contains fields, one of which is CityName; example value “Sudbury”. I have another dataset (Dataset B) that contains a field made up of comma delimited AltNames; example value “Gran Sudbury,Grand Sudbury,Sudbury, etc.I need for these features to be joined in one dataset if the value in CityName matches any one of the comma delimited names in AltNames, however different records have different numbers of alternate names and it cannot match with a section of a comma delimited value. For example, Sudbury != Grand Sudbury.I think that lists may solve this but I’m not familiar with the transformers that might enable this process.

Identify Changes in the GIS Schema / SchemeScanner?

Hi All,I’m working on a workbench to help my team with some geo-processing. The plan is to upload the workbench to FME Flow therefore my team can run it on demand.I have included a FeatureReader transformer at the beginning of the workflow to read a GDB containing cadastral polygon data. This is an User Parameter in the workbench therefore the user will be including the input.The GDB should always have the same fields/order, any variation in the scheme...the tool will fail,How can I check and inform the user at the beginning of the process that the scheme doesn’t follow the standard GIS schema?I was think about the SchemeScanner or ChangeDetector...but open to suggestionsHere is a very basic screenshot that shows two FeatureReaders → Features To Read (Only Schema),

How do I convert a Raster file to COG (Cloud optimised Geotiff) with 4 bands (R,G,B,Alpha)?

I want to convert JPEG file (4 band) to COG with below parameter:I have problem with “Interleaving Type”:When i chooses “BIP”, i received a message log:“COG writer: JPEG compression supports at most 3 bands with BIP interleaving. Please change the interleaving to BSQ, choose another compression method, or reduce the number of bands”When i chooses “BSQ”, i received a message log:“COG writer: The file layout 'Cloud Optimized Tiles' may only be used with BIP interleaving. Please change the interleaving to BIP or select a different file layout”I need to convert JPEG file to COG with compression method “JPEG” and keep alpha band.Can i do that? Am I mistaken about something?

FME server doesn't create log for failed workbench

We have a server running many jobs and one of them normally runs successfully and a log can be reviewed but at other times the job fails and when i access it i get the message Error: The log file for job ID "######" does not exist.I’ve seen the post in FME Server 2019 Error: The log file for job ID "2613" does not exist and we have plenty of disk space, the job frequently works successfully, other jobs are still creating log files. I’ve checked all the suggestions in that post.The failed job is recorded as running for a couple of seconds but without the log I have no insight into why it is failing

Extracting data from SQLite Database

Hi Community, I am facing a similar issues as outlined in the following link : However, I am unable to extract the data from the database. I guess am missing something in the JSON query parameter of the JSON Fragmenter transformer. Attached are the screenshots Am very new to FME so it’s possible that I might be missing something basic. Any suggestions on how to overcome this would be helpful.

Does FME 2024.0 Support Esri's New Big Integer Field Types When Creating New Dynamic Feature Classes?

I have been using Dynamic writers to create feature classes and tables in an Esri File Geodatabase for years. I normally use the FME field type “fme_int32” to create Long Integer field types. However, I need to create attributes using Esri’s new ‘Big Integer’ field type. I assumed I could use “fme_int64” but when I run my workspace in FME 2024.0, it runs without errors but it doesn’t create the new feature class. When I change the 2 fields from fme_int64 back to fme_int32, it runs without errors and creates the new feature class. I have ArcPro 3.2.2 installed which also supports the new Big Integer (64 Bit) field types.My question is: Should I be using a different FME Field type besides ‘fme_int64’ to generate Big Integer field types via a Dynamic FGDB Feature Class Writer?Thanks in advance.

AutoCAD DWG to SVG

I’m trying to convert DWG’s to SVG’s. It works, but it’s using the AutoCAD colors. I would like to just make the lines all one color, and NOT use the autocad colors. Ideally, I’d like to fill certain layers with another color.

How to replace FeatureReader?

I need to extract TAB or Shape file from S3 and read data from it including schema.I have discovered in this articlehttps://community.safe.com/data-7/how-to-extract-the-actual-shapefile-from-featurereader-geometry-and-attributes-14548?tid=14548&fid=7that FeatureReader apparently can’t read all attributes that are in the file, until I expose them. But what is I don’t know the list of all attributes? I don’t know what exactly will be uploaded by other people to S3 bucket, I just need to read the file. Could you help, please, to identify the correct settings of FeatureReader or another way to extract data?

Microsoft Word Writer and changing run order of transformers?

Hello, I have an issue with trying to use the Microsoft Word Writer. As far as I understand, I can build my Word document using multiple MSWordStyler transformers, and depending on the order of these, the document will be built differently. For example, if the “heading” goes in first, it will be at the start of the document, but if it goes in last, it will be last in the document. I have 2 MSWordStyler transformers, one table and one paragraph. I want the table to be first and the paragraph last. I got my desired result, but when I later saved my workspace my paragraph now ends up first and the table last. The order of which FME is reading the transformers has also changed. If I understand correctly FME runs the transformers in the order they appear in the Navigator, and you’re supposed to be able to change the order. I can’t do this though? I don’t get the option to move transformers up or down. I’m also supposed to be able to get the option to “Set connection runtime order” when I ri
