Python FMEObjects Missing DLL files

Hi - I am hoping someone can help.Apologies in advance for the long message.I am using FME Workbench 2022.2.8.I am trying to set up a workspace that has three readers (using a SQL database that retrieves data from three separate tables) connected to a PythonCaller and then a feature writer (connected to the Python caller) that writes the data back into a SQL database.I need all the readers to have finished before the PythonCaller is executed as it uses all of them in the script.I initially tried to run this using the built in Translator Python3.9+ but every time I did It said no module named pandas.I attempted to configure my own python.exe that I have as part of anaconda navigator (2024.10.1).I created an environment called fme_env and set the Python version to 3.9.I was able to successfully set up all this, but I encountered the no module called FMEObjects error.I went into my FME installation path and there was a folder called fmeobjects and inside that there were several version bu

How to close open volumes after a clipping transformation in Workbench 2022?

I used Workbench 2022 to clip buildings (composite surfaces) onto an area with the clipper transformer. The buildings at the clipper boundary however are open geometries (refer to screenshot). How can I insert closure surfaces to each boundary building to create closed volumes?I tried to coerce the composite surfaces to a solid and coerce them back to surfaces after the clipping, but the method is not reliable, because most of the solids become faulty. Calculate Geometry and export an image

I have a workbench where I am reading data from a SDE looking for rows updated in the last 7 days then exporting to an excel file. That is working well. I’m also using mapnikrasteriser to create a map and export a tiff image however the new records have no geometry defined so won't show up on my map. What would be the best option to calculate geometry for those new records?

How to work around an ssl-verification error when using the ESRI Portal reader

Hello all,At a client I often fail to connect to their ESRI Portal, due to failing to verify SSL (see loggin below) on both FME Server and desktop.Proxy settings in FME don't change the behaviour (always uses proxy). The Chrome browser thinks the certificate is o.k. I can't disable ssl-verification in the Portal Reader, as suggested in the log, like it is possible to do in the HTTPCaller.. (see my idea for that). Inspired by this reported problem I exported the certificate from Chrome, and imported it in $FME_HOME\jre\lib\security\cacerts on desktop.. (analogue to these instructions for server, section .pfx certificate, as the problematic server has a .pfx certificate).This did not resolve the problem...Does anyone have any suggestions??? FTPCaller in FME Flow

Hello,We are using FTPCaller to connect to our SFTP Server via OpenSSH Agent as per the instructions in this article:https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/articles/25407554321805-Using-a-Private-SSH-key-with-FTPCaller-to-Authenticate-an-SFTP-Connection-for-FME-Form-and-FME-Flow-on-Windows-Systems The authentication is not a problem and we are able to log into the SFTP server, but we are having problems downloading files with spaces in their names, we are trying to download a file named:LB Daily Course Raitings_202409130404.csv the URL set up in the FTPCaller is:sftp://sftpip:2222/Test_Folder/LB Daily Course Raitings_202409130404.csvWe keep getting the error that the file does not exists, we know the issue is dealing with the spaces, and have tried downloading a files without spaces and it works fine. We’ve also tried all sorts of scape options to cancel the spaces in the URL but we get the same error indicating the file does not exists.We’ve also tried to use LB*.csv as the name but same e

How do I handle possible errors when writing multiple feature types with post data processing

I’ve alluded to my question on a few other posts about FeatureWriters:When FeatureWriter fails there is no output | CommunityAdd a Rejected port to FeatureWriter | CommunityBut figured I’d ask a more directed question in its own posting. I’m in a situation where I want to do some post-processing after writing data to each of my 40 feature types. I have a FeatureWriter for each feature type, in an attempt to catch and do no post-processing for feature types that fail, but continue with post-processing on feature types that write successfully. I’ve come to realize that any FeatureWriter that fails, stops the entire workspace. Setting “Rejected Feature Handling” to “Continue Translation” doesn’t apply to a failed FeatureWriter. The “Rejected port” link above is suggesting adding such a port to the FeatureWriter, which would solve my predicament, at least as I understand it, but it’s not implemented as of FME 2024.1.1, and I don’t know if there are plans to do so. Issues with Destination Folder Updates in FME Form

When I update one of my destination folders for my writers, all of the writers are updated to run to the same folder. I don’t know why this is happening.When I try and run the workbench, it runs like normal but then as it’s writing it comes with an error: “CSV writer: Failed to open file 'C:\D_xxxxxxxx.csv' for writing. Please ensure that you have sufficient privileges to write this file. If the file already exists, please ensure it is not open in another application” after it has written the first file to the folder.This has only been happening since I upgraded my ArcGIS Pro to a newer version that isn’t supported by my current version of FME (which I need to maintain to match the clients version).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FME Hub user daveatsafe just uploaded a new transformer to the FME Hub.This transformer uses the pyx12 Python module to read X12 formatted data files, like those used for EDI 835 and 837 business data exchange. X12 data is hierarchical, but for easier usage, this transformer will output relational tables that include the links required to establish parent/child relationships. $(FME_MF_DIR) is resolved to AppData/Local/Temp folder.

I simply want to create a .CSV reader that should read the following dataset: $(FME_MF_DIR)DIDOK\didok.csv My workbench is on a network disk P: let’s say P:/myworkbench.fmw so I expected that $(FME_MF_DIR) will be P:/. But instead $(FME_MF_DIR) is resolved to C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Temp. So I guess that FME temporarily copy the workbench into C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Temp ? How to prevent this behaviour ?

Can't write to wwwroot

I’ve been running a script on FLOW for months that unzips and deploys apps to an IIS web server by copying them to the wwwroot folder. If the app already exists and needs updating, the script backs up the existing folder, deletes it, and then deploys the new version. However, about two weeks ago, it stopped working because the Python function in the Python caller can’t delete and replace the existing directories.I have admin permissions to the wwwroot folder, and the workbench runs correctly from my computer. But when it runs from FLOW as the application account, it fails. The app account has the same permissions on the wwwroot folder as I do, and both accounts are in the admin group.I suspect a Windows update or a policy change might be causing this issue.Any ideas?

Esri portal Feature Service Upsert

Hi all,I’m working with a Feature Service containing approximately 1,000,000 sensors stored in a spatiotemporal big data store. I need to update 10,000 of these sensors based on their unique string ID, like sensors-0x21222.Currently, I'm using the FeatureWriter for the 'Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service' with the 'Use Global IDs' option enabled and 'Upsert' set as the 'Feature Operation' in the Feature Type. However, 'Upsert' requires a global ID.This approach feels very constrained, as it requires importing all 1 million records, merging them, and finding the global ID for each update.Is there a way to update a Feature Service using a primary key or unique field (such as upserting with a where clause) rather than relying on global IDs? This current method doesn’t seem ETL-friendly, as it requires importing parts of the dataset just to make updates.Thanks in advance for any guidance! Edit:Maybe I don't understand it. Reading CSV and Writing to MSSQL Database: tables not recognized by geometry_columns

Hello :)Here is what I am doing: I am working with FME-Flow and FME Workbench 2023.1.1. I have geodata in the form of .csv-files and am using a simple CSV-Reader ➡ MSSQL-Writer to create my datatable in my MSSQL-database (see attached image for FME-script). The datasets are saved to the ‘dbo’-schema and work without problem in GIS (QGIS in this case). This is done for a number of CSV-files. As an example I have shown the summary annotation for the dataset ‘ov_boende_aldre’.What’s the issue? When FME writes to the MSSQL database, the resulting datatable(s) is/are not recognized by the systems view ‘geometry_columns’ (se image below). Why not? When creating a dataset directly in MSSQL or in GIS (QGIS, for example), the dataset appears in said systems view. What can be the issue here? Any secret sauce to make FME create the dataset correctly that I am just missing?All help and hints are appreciated.
