I need to send three files to an API. When I do it directly via the API, I have no issues—the files are sent and I receive status code 200. However, when I try to send them through FME, I can’t get it to work. Am I making some configuration mistake in FME?

Hi,I’am using FME Workbench 2022 with ArcGIS desktop 10.8.1 and ArcGIS Pro 3 on the same machine. When I try to load a feature class only compatible with ArcGIS Pro (containing arcade expression), FME continues to use ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.1 librairies despite the transation / Esri ArcGIS Compatibility set  to Auto or ArcGIS Pro.

I want a workspace to run on FME Flow at 11pm with a user initiating it at some point within the working day.Currently thinking of having the workspace run within an automation, which is scheduled to run daily at 11pm. User would enable the automation, workspace would run at 11pm and then trigger a second workspace which makes a http call to stop the automation. So the workspace is only run once and won’t run again until the process is repeated.Any ideas of a better way to do this?

How can I automatically add all attributes in AttributeExposer after AttributeTransposer without having to manually select each one?

Hi! I have encountered the following error when using Feature Writer transformer (dynamic workspace) writing a Microsoft SQL Server Spatial table.  2025-08-06 16:11:20| 148.0|  0.0|ERROR |Microsoft SQL Server Spatial Writer: Query failed, possibly due to a malformed statement.  Query Text `CREATE TABLE [Infrastructure].[Fire_Hydrants_Audit] ([FH_ID] bigint, [Work_Required] bit, [Paint_Post] bit, [New_Post] bit, [Paint_Surround] bit, [Clear_Vegetation] bit, [Post_Reflector] bit, [Inspection_Date] datetime2, [Inspected_By] varchar_max, [Works_Completed] bit, [MI_PRINX] integer, [SP_GEOMETRY] geometry)'. I am upgrading a workbench from 2022 to 2025, this is updating the Schema mapper from 2 to 3, but SchemaMapper version 3 does not appear to have Microsoft SQL Server as a format type. Am i missing something?SchemaMapper Version 3SchemaMapper Version 2 

I have a workspace and I want to turn it into a CutsomTransformer - as part of that process I want to rename a bunch of attributes to include a prefix (e.g., from a JSONFlattener) - This is mostly for readability.For example I have several attributes which are coming from a JSONFlattner - in the original I never added a prefix, however, now I want to prefix with something like “layer.” - so something like “extent” would become “layer.extent”. The issues is that when I add that prefix in then all the downstream transformers which use the properties break. Obviously going through and changing them would have taken me less time than writing this question but it’s certainly not the first time I’ve had this kind of issue.In similar situations in the past I’ve been lazy and have simply renamed the new attribute to the old value. There are quite a few situations where I think having this kind of functionality would do a lot to improve workspaces readability with little effort on the authors p

Hello, I’m new to this forum and have been working with ETL and FME Workbench for a short time.I’m facing an issue with my XML output: the header and footer formatting come out messed up.This formatting problem does not appear inside the XMLFormatter transformer, but after saving the physical file, the formatting issue becomes clear.Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

I’m trying to make use of the JSONUpdater transformer since it seems more clear than doing a search & replace. My issue is I just can’t understand the JSONiq enough to know what I need to do to always find the right JSON Path. I’m reading in a JSON template and in this template are 3 objects at json[“flowcontents”][“processors”]. The problem is the order can change for the processors. I might want 0, 1, or 2. The key is the object # I want always has “name : Build-Parameters”.I’m thinking I have two options.Is there a way with JSONiq to always specify the correct JSON Path in the JSONUpdater, based on the name of each object. Maybe I sort the processors objects in the JSON prior to the JSONUpdater transformer. Then I always specify the correct one to find path. (Thankfully the order doesn’t matter when I push the results back.)I went ahead and made a very simple Workbench which demonstrates my JSON and the problem. Could someone help with either solution or maybe something else I d

I am using FME Workbench 2022.1 along with ArcGIS Pro 3.0. I recently noted an issue when copying data from an AGOL MapService to a local GDB - if the feature class does not exist in the GDB, the Workbench will fail, only reporting "Error running the translation" and no further details in the log file. However, if I create a feature class in the GDB, even without any attributes, and change the writer to "Drop and Create" from "Create If Needed," the Workbench runs. Any Ideas?  Log File attached 

On the item page of a hosted service you can export to fgdb and other formats. The benefit of this over an fme reader and writer workflow is the easy preservation of unique ids, relationships and attachments. The also take no local compute power/time. Is there a way perform the "Export To FGDB" or other formats within FME?I see that there is a method to download items from arcgis online with the use of the ArcGISOnlineConnector (https://docs.safe.com/fme/2020.1/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Transformers/Transformers/arcgisonlineconnector.htm)If I could create the fgdb through fme, I'm pretty sure I could also download and manipulate it within a workspace. I'm doing some lengthy transformations on a million+ records. Performing these actions through the Online Readers/Writers is taking hours (90% is reading from the REST API) and I need to reduce that time.  Thanks!

We are migrating to FME 2025.1 and I have a question about arcpy.I set the Python Compatibility to Esri ArcGIS Python 3.11. I then add a PythonCaller. Now workbench asks me to change the Python Compatibility to Python 3.13+?  If I choose Cancel, I won’t get a PythonCaller.If I choose Change Python Compatibility, and I add “import arcpy” the workbench fails.What am I supposed to do to let FME 2025.1 run arcpy? Also for FME server.

We have a PythonCaller which uses the psycopg2 import statement and then uses the pgsql server parameters to connect to a pgsql server and create database ((eg: https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Using_psycopg2_with_PostgreSQL). This works fine in FME Desktop 2021.1 and FME Server 2021.1Currently we are migrating to FME Flow 2025.1 and this caller fails when run in Flow (server) and local desktop in Form, both in 2025.1. The location of the psycopg2 package is in \Documents\FME\Plugins\Python folder in the local desktop. With same setting, it works in 2021.1, but not in 2025.1Have I missed anything?The specifc error is: No module named psycopg2._psycopg

I have an emailer in a routine which has html content and it has been working fine for years. I have just updated the emailer package and it is now emailing all the html code to the recipient rather than rendering the email using the code. I noticed in the change log that this version has “Improve detection of HTML content in message body. (FMEENGINE-86584)” but it looks like it has less detection of HTML. has anyone else come across this issue and how to resolve it. There doesn't appear to be any guidance on how to manage this change in the package / transformer.

I have just deployed a distributed Flow (2025.1) in Azure with following configurations (this is to replace a similar deployment in Azure with 2021.1 FME Server version)Core machine - 1Engine machine -1Azure storage accountAzure hosted postgresql flexible serverAzure application gateway In addition to the internal load balancer Azure creates as part of the deployment, we also have a public load balancer associated with the core VM to allow outgoing external traffic.A backup of the configurations from the 2021.1 FME Server is restored to the 2025.1 using the backup/restore fucntion in FME Flow. (Used an intermediate version 2024.2 to restore a backup from 2021.1 and then created a backup to restore to 2025.1, no error and everything works fine in Automation mode) However when select a workspace and ‘Run Workspace’ option is selected, it throws a message saying: There was an error submitting the job. I wonder if there’s a way for me to hack the web connection during run time to expose the AGOL Organization URL and token so I can use this URL downstream.The ArcGISOnline Connector returns these as format attributes but I have the extra overhead of running the right action item to expose them. Submitted an Idea related to this:  

SOLVED - I found the error Hello!I've been working on a script that has 56 columns (client needs all the fields of information), and now I need to write it using an Esri File Geodatabase writer. I have double- and triplechecked whether there is an invalid character (since gdbs are quite strict with field names) or a duplicate of one of the fields, but I cannot find it. Is there a tool in FME that let's you identify a duplicate of a whole column in the attribute table? Or a duplicate field name? Or does anyone know if there is another common solution to this error?This is the error code:ERROR |An error occurred while attempting to create the feature class 'Test'. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220649'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Cannot create a table with a duplicate column. [Test]} I am using FME form 2024.1.Thank you in advance!

Hello!Is there a way to change the displayed date in a datetime userparameter as DD-MM-YYYY?The chooser interface is helpful to check if it is the right date, but it can still be quite confusing, especially in Flow, when not every user knows about the picker and just enters the date. Is there an option I am missing or is a text-field instead my only alternative? Many thanks in advance!
