I have the exact same issue as is described here: That topic is closed, so I'm starting a new one over here. I got the error “Check the geometry of such feature is valid and is not too small for the resolution”, while updating a feature. I use FME Form and Flow 2025.1.2 and ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1 with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3.At first I also thought the issue only occurred in FME Flow, not in FME Form. But now I'm checking the issue again and it is also in Form.In my case I use the ChangeDetector to check if the feature exists and if so if it is changed. If it existed and is changed, I'm also using the Update Mode in a FeatureWriter. I tested with not updating the spatial column, but that didn't make any difference. I still got the error. And I am positive the geometry didn't even change: setting the ChangeDetector to only check geometry sends the feature to the Unchanged port.I don't really understand the solution in the other topic, but it seems I have to delete some data. ​Hi everybody, I have a similar issue to the one the creator of this thread has: The difference is that I'm dealing with donuts. The workaround from Takashi (buffer issue location → dissolve → aggregate) doesn’t work with donuts. The reason why this doesn't work is explained here: The GeometryValidator reports self-intersections in the wrong place for donuts. If I buffer the issue location, part of the donut that doesn’t need to be buffered gets buffered, and the actual issue location remains a problem. I also tried the GeometryValidator repair function, but this didn’t work either. Attached is an example workflow which uses some public data that I use in the real workflow. I believe there’s an issue with the tolerance values greater than 0.5 not being respected when using the NumericRasterizer transformer.With tolerances like 0 and 0.5, I can see a difference in output. However, a tolerance value of 1.0 has no change in the output. I know I’m using an older version but upgrading is not an option. I was using a background map that is no longer supported so trying other ones. I have a Bing API key but get this error when attempting to display the background:“(1):Python Exception <IndexError>: list index out of rangeAn error has occurred. I need to use a Oauth2 token as password to connect to a PostgreSQL database. The problem is that when I try to paste a stringline over 245 characters the connection fails. When reopening the connection parameters the password is red and says ‘Value not allowed’. On another laptop (FME 2022.2) it all works fine. Any idea what causes this problem?

I want to embed a DB connection in my workspace without the password being saved in the workspace.A password should not be saved in an FME workspace file. But I want the connection details to be saved in the workspace file.What I've tried:- If I leave the password blank, the workspace does not run because the connection requires a password. I could save the workspace with a blank password. But if I want to run the workspace, I need to edit the Reader/Writer or Transformer properties and enter a password. FME detects this as unsaved changes in my workspace and it could easily happen that the workspace gets saved with the password by accident. This is a stupid solution.- I could create a user paramter for the password field. When I run the workspace, I have to make sure that the "Save As Parameter Default Values" option in the parameters dialogue is disabled. Hello, I’m trying to convert decimal coordinates into a DMS format with hemisphere indication. Example : 1.4861803 ; 43.5713123 Target format : 1°29’10.2491” E ; 43°34’16.7243” NIn my workflow, i used DMSCalculator transformer to split the coordinates into degrees, minutes and seconds. This part works correctly.However, I am now stuck when trying to reconstruct the final formatted string. Does anyone know the best approach to rebuild this format ?Thanks advanced,

I am working on a project creating building footprints from a lidar point cloud. However, the original lidar point cloud being used has some portions of buildings classified with “unassigned” values which has created incomplete building footprints. Are there any suggestions how I could identify these “unassigned” building values to fix the building footprint?

I’m having an issue where the FME Workbench application is not loading correctly. I have added an image below, the bottom of the application is all white and just above that is a portion that hasn’t rendered correctly. I cannot get it to load things from the history, even though it acts like it has loaded. It feels like a rendering issue.Anyone else ever have this issue. Do I just need to reinstall it?

As I understand things, currently one can only use the Esri enterprise geodatabase formats on a Windows host. When moving to kubernetes it is then needed to use queue control to direct those jobs to Windows VMs, which is not ideal.When can we expect those drivers to also work on Linux? And is the problem on the Esri side or the Safe Software side?

I need to update environmental data in our system. The input data comes from an ESRI Shapefile, and I am using FME 2021.2. The output is stored in Oracle Spatial.However, the system that reads the data from Oracle only accepts simple polygons. When I try to insert multipolygons, part of the geometry is ignored by that system.Is there a way in FME to convert multipolygons into single polygons while maintaining a 1:1 relationship between input and output features?If I use the Deaggregator, the number of records grows exponentially, which is not viable for our database.I also started working with FME recently, so I may be missing a simpler or recommended approach.What would be the recommended way in FME to transform multipolygons into valid simple polygons without increasing the number of features?

My long time transformer friend FMEFlowLogFileRetriever is not avaliable in FME 2025. The error asked me to use HTTPCaller to retrieve the job log file. So I used this rest point in the HTTPCaller’s Request URL with GET - https://my-fme-flow-hostname/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/@Value(jobid)/log. I tried the Basic and Web Connection authentications, but both gives the error “HTTPCaller (HTTPFactory): An error occurred while accessing the URL 'https://my-fme-flow-hostname/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/98/log'”. I have no problem publishing using the same Web Connection for the authentication, so don’t understand what the issue is. The jobid = 98 was run successfully on the FME Flow.

Hi Community,I tried to use a DB Connection as Deployment Parameter and set it as Default value in the User Parameters in Workbench as shown in Screenshot below. However when I publish this workspace to Flow the User Parameter with DB Connection is empty and I need to select again the DB Connection manually (2nd Screenshot).Is this an expected behaviour? In my logic the User Parameter should be set automatically (works like this e.g. for Text Deployment Parameters as User Parameter). Hello!After an update from FME-flow 2024 to 2025 and after the update some roles are not able to open the repositories under workspaces. They get the message ‘Unauthorized request by user <user> due to lack of proper permissions or the object does not exist’. I'm a superuser and able to open the repositories. Is there a new option under User Management I'm not aware of? Or does someone know a solution?

We recently upgraded our FME Flow from version 2019 to FME 2025.2.1. Although we encountered several issues during the upgrade, the system is now running. However, we are facing a new error when executing an existing workbench. The workbench reads data from an Oracle table and generates GML and GeoJSON files. The files are generated successfully, but at the end of the process, the following error appears: 190 2026-1-20 14:33:00 | Router and Unexpected Input Remover (RoutingFactory): No geometry mapping entry found for 'fme_line' in metafile 'E:\Server\fme\metafile\ORACLE_SPATIAL.fmf'. Please visit http://www.safe.com/support Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I’m reading Survey123 results into FME where one question allows multiple selections. The answers come through as a comma-delimited string (e.g. Need_PD,Need_TMA,Frozen).I want to validate the responses against a known list of allowed values (CSV/XLSX), so that: each selected value is validated individually any invalid or new value (even if it hasn’t appeared yet) is flagged I don’t need to handle every possible combination of selections I understand that Tester “Cached Values” only shows existing data values and that Survey123/ArcGIS domains aren’t directly usable here.What is the recommended transformer pattern to: split the multi-select field so I can edit testers for looking for certain selected options and not others

Hi all,I am struggling to get the following to work. In my IT environment we use APP-v to deploy FME workbench. Now I want to automate the license within the package. So I installed FME workbench but is automatically opens the licensing manager, which is nice but I want to specify the license myself. What file can I make that I can implement in the application so it instantly recognizes its license. I tried the admin guide but did not work. We have floating licenses.So what file can I make to specify the license within the application, so that users don't have to enter it themselves. 

I have a list of points which I want to connect to lines. But one line should contain only points with a specific value in a field. At the end I want to have multiple lines in one feature class. How can I do that?

I have FME Automations that use the “FME Flow Schedule”.  In the “FME Flow Schedule”, I am using the Schedule Type “CRON Expression”.  Is there a way to get a report for all the “FME Flow Schedule” from all the FME Automation so that I can know when an FME Automation is scheduled to run?

I have a source SDE Geodatabase reader and destination File Geodatabase writer, both with the exact same attributed relationship classe schemas. The File Geodatabase being written to is blank (I’m using a template) and I don’t need to re-establish any relationships, I want to write the records exactly as they appear in the SDE Geodatabase, to the File Geodatabase. I’ve read in feature types using Ignore relationships, making them type geodb_table, and the destination feature types are also geodb_table (though obviously both are in fact attributed relationship classes).FME (2024.1.1.1) seems to want to recognize the writer feature types as relationship classes, no matter how I define them. I don’t want to have to establish the whole geodb_rel_origin_oid and geodb_rel_destination_oid values since I know what they should be already from the source (and there is no common attribute between the two source relationship class tables anyways). Is there a way to force read and write attributed
