Hello. I'm trying to host FME Server under AWS's Application Load Balancer (ALB). A SSL certification (which is provided by AWS) is attached to the ALB and ALB listens to 443 port.The EC2 insance runs FME web application on the standard HTTP port (80). Let's say the domain I host FME Server is mysite.com.When I open https://mysite.com , the browser redirects to http://mysite.com/fmeserver/ (port 80) instead of https://mysite.com/fmeserver/ . How can I configure FME Server web application to redirect to https ? EDIT:I'm using Ubuntu 20.04.FME Server installer is https://downloads.safe.com/fme/2022/fme-server-2022.1.2-b22627-linux-x64~ubuntu.20.04.run

Hello:)This is incredibly petty, but as someone who lives in a country where “Commonwealth English” is the standard for spelling (and not the Simplified English of North America), I wondered if there’s a switch in the UI somewhere so that menu items and transformers are spelled correctly (correctly for me). For example: the NeighbourFinder, which, as is pointed out in the docs, is an alias of the NeighborFinder. I’m waging my own campaign against the normalisation of N.Am. English in software across the English-speaking world. 

I am new to FME Flow. My organization had setup a FME Flow 2024.2 and integrated SAML for user login. I am just wondering whether I could use SAML account in FME Flow REST API and how to use it to generate a token for further REST API requests. Furthermore, is the generated token secure enough to prevent accessing other users’ resources, workspaces and data connections.Thanks in advance,Henry from TfNSW

When a database is updated using SpatialRelator, FeatureTypeFilter, and DatabaseUpdater Transformers from feature classes inherited from two different readers, the _relationship attribute disappears when the FeatureTypeFilter Update button is used. All DatabaseUpdater transformers are in the "incomplete transformer" status. When examining the DatabaseUpdater transformers, the _relationship values are red. Copying and pasting the same value fixes this. To avoid this issue, you must manually edit the FeatureTypeFilter, which is time-consuming.  

I’m using the rasterdemgenerator and I can’t get the fme_basename passed it.   I have some lidar tiles and I want to make a DTM from them. I can do everything, but I cant get the DTM named like the input las file. It has either no name or it has the name of the transformer.  There is an old forum post where Takashi tell’s someone to expose the FME_feauture_type, fill it with the FME_basename, use a group by (using the FME_feauture_type) in the rasterdemgenerator and than use it as the raster file name.  It doesn’t work for me… Any other suggestions? I’m on FME 2025.0   

I would like to use Flow to send an email once a record is being added to a survey123-form in Arcgis Online. This email should contain the record fields and attachment (image file, 1 for every record). When using a webhook + workspace in Flow I am able to sent an email with the record fields using the emailer transformation.However, I am not sure how to send the attachment (without placing it on the server first). I am not sure what I should fill out in the 'source file' field in the Emailer transformer.I tried:inserting the attachment url first converting (with RasterExtractor) and then using the rasterblob.Both send the items to rejected.What should I fill out here?Or is this not possible without first downloading the image?

Hello everyone,I have a short question. How can I share an automation app so that an user doesn't need to  authenticate. himself/herself? I am able to share workspace apps with users by disabling the Require Authentication button, but I can't find something like that for an automation app.I also looked at manage token and enabled some options with Automation, but still the autonmation app does require an user to authenticate himself/herself. 

I’m trying to read a text file with settings in it then, use the settings in the WS. The settings are formatted on lines like name = value. There are lines with other stuff on them like comments that I just want to ignore. The WS that I have seems to work up to the AttributeSplitter. I think it splits right because it shows 30 features created but it doesn’t fully fill the list{}. I think the list{} should have 60 items but it only has 2. The AttributeCreator just creates one attribute for the list{2}. I’m a bit confused how this should be configured. Also, if there is a better way of doing this (reading settings) then, please let me know. I have attached my WS (zipped) and my txt settings file.AttributeCreator: only one attribute gets created ‘APP_EXIT’. AttributeCreator 

I’m working through a data cleaning process in a workspace. I have multiple files that are different from each other in schema and attributes, but are essentially all saying similar things. Hence the cleaning. I’m working in one workspace to make re-use of transformers a little easier, but when I’m using the FirenameParkExtractor transformer I need to identify a user parameter source for it to gather up a name to chop up. This is what that dropdown looks like: The names here do not align with how I’ve named the readers and associated files so I’m a little confused about how to make this situation easier to work with. I’d like to be able to rename the source datasets, but I’m not sure where I’d do that. Can you tell me? As an aside, is it a bad idea to process many things in one workspace? Should each file get it’s own? Is there some helpful documentation out there about designing workflows? (I’ll be searching on that just now, but I thought of the question as I was writing the post!) Hey!I was wondering what the best practices are when it comes to updating a sde table that has archiving enabled. I have a few tables in a sde database that I need to update regularly. These tables have archiving enbaled and the tables have between 100,000-900,000 records.I have noticed that when I want use “Truncate Existing” in my sde writer that it takes a long time (I’ve never actually had the patience to let it run to completion… I usually cancelled it after a few hours)If I use the “SQL To Run Before Write” to truncate the table before I write to it, all the “archived” data gets lost.If I use the arcpy function “Truncate Table” in a Python Caller right before I write the data to the table it works really well, it doesn’t take too much time and the archiving function is working as well. I guess one other option would be to detect all the changes and only update those rows but for different reasons this makes the workflow a bit more complicated. But maybe something worth looking in

Not sure if it’s an issue as such, although I struggle to think of a scenario where you would want this functionality, and it might be obvious to some but just as an FYI If you send multipolygons into a Dissolver with Aggregate Handling set to Deaggregate and choose attributes to sum, the polygons will be deaggregated first, this means that each constituent part inherits the attributes of the original multipolygon feature and this will then be summed to leading to unexpected values. So from thisYou get this

I have a folder that contains various zipped shapefiles that I am trying to export to a geodatabase. This folder is updated regularly and the shapefiles are points, lines and polygons. How can I read in and then export them to the geodatabase without needing to worry about the geometry type? I have looked into generic readers and writers but I have not been able to figure how to get them to work.

Hi, i am copying files using the FeatureWriter with FileCopy and but some of them are missing but i dont get an attribute telling me which files are missing. All i get is this in the log:File Copy Writer: Skipped 401 features that contained invalid source datasetsBut what i would like is to route those with invalid source data set and have them write to an excel ark or similar so i know which files cant be found.But right now the features all come out of the same port with no distinction of wheter or not the copy was actually succesful. Which is not very useful for me. Any help is very much appriciated :)

Does anyone have any hints and tips for testing automations in fme server 2019?ExamplesI have a scheduled automation and want to test whether an email gets sent correctly reporting on job success or failure, do i have to manually change the schedule to 5 minutes in the future to do this or is there another way?I want to check whether an email that is constructed using user-keys returns the correct output, do I have to artificially construct workspaces that fail to check the fail part of the automation?I'm thinking that creating a dummy workspace with a parameter that will control a pass or fail result is and building the automation with this initially might be the way to go but wonder if I'm missing something?

Hey guys, So I ran into a problem I shouldn't have. For my workspace I'm trying to subtract two integers from one another. The problem that I'm facing is that the arithmatic expression is not giving me any usable data. This is also the case when slightly change the expression. Below is the most recent attempt. Can anybody point out how I might be able to make this work?I have performed similar expressions in older versions of FME with no problems whatsoeverI I'm currently running FME 2024.2.4.0. The data type is originally Real64 but I converted it to Int32. Any help would appreciated. 

I have been able to successfully connect to Asana by using two resources (attached at the bottom) and extract a list of task names and custom field names, but I have been unsuccessful in using the JSONFormatter, JSONFlattener, and the JSONExtractor tools to create a list of tasks and their corresponding custom field values for a specific Asana project. If anyone is experienced in working with the Asana API to collect this kind of data from a particular Asana project, I’d be really appreciative of any helpful tips to create a final output of a project’s tasks and their custom fields. Hello everyone,I was trying to create a webhook based on my colleague's workspace, which I want to invoke using an HTTP Send action in an automation. My colleague used group boxes in his script to neatly organize the user parameters.The strange thing is that when I try to create a webhook from his workspace, the user parameters are not available. However, if I make a copy of his workspace, remove the group boxes, upload it to FME Flow, and then create a webhook based on that version, the user parameters do appear in the webhook URL.I also tried manually copying the parameters my webhook url to my colleague’s webhook URL to test if it would work, but I received an error. This error does not seem to appear when in the workspaces the user parameters are not grouped within group boxes.Has anyone experienced this behavior before? Hello, I'm currently working with FME 2022.1 on NETCDF files from https://daac.ornl.gov/cgi-bin/dsviewer.pl?ds_id=1851 The files are .nc4 and when I try to open them on FME Workbench I have this warning. (on picture) It seems that FME can't link the dimensions defined in the file with its own "lat/lon and time functions" I tried opening these files on ArcMap 10.8.1 and the dimensions are immediately recognized correctly.  How can I make FME understand that lat = lat, lon = lon and time = time ? Or how can I set it when reading the nc4 file ?  

 Hi, Screenshot sample of data above: Essentially I have a csv with several sites (columns C-G), to import this data into the software I use, I need to import one site at a time, so i’m looking to split this csv into several csvs which contain the date time columns and then one site column per csv. I can do this in a convoluted way, using multiple attributekeepers to split the data, is there any quicker way to automate this? Thanks  

Hi everyone,I'm working with a topologically accurate line network in FME 2023.1.1.1. I have:Two source points located at the start points of some lines (also refer to pipe-network_plus_point-features.png)→ the blue rhombusValves represented as point features, located somewhere along the lines (not necessarily at endpoints)→ the magenta colored pointsMy goal is to identify all topologically connected lines starting from each of the sources and continuing until the valves are reached. Each group of connected features should be treated as a separate subnetwork. In this case, I expect to identify two distinct subnetworks, one for each source. Also refer to desired_result.png and the detail 1 and 2.Has anyone tackled something similar? I’m looking for a solution that ideally avoids using Python and relies on standard FME transformers (e.g., using loops or topology-based logic).Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance

Hi All,I’ve enabled versioning control in FME flow and connected it to our Azure dev ops repository.I can commit and push files to the master branch, but I can’t push to any other branch or sub-folder.cThis is an issue as we have 10 different FME Flow environments and all workbenches are being pushed into the same branch and repository. Is there any way to choose which specific folder or branch each FME flow instances connects to? Cheers

I'd like to understand what this error means in the following context and how I might go about resolving it. I have a workspace that works perfectly fine if I run using cached features up to transformers just prior to a FeatureMerger then run from the FeatureMerger to a writer. However, when I try to run the entire workspace it results in an error that aborts the translation at the writer. I've also tried many other methods of joining these 2 streams and all are resulting in the same error output. MULTI_WRITER: No MULTI_WRITER_TYPE{*} or MULTI_WRITER_TYPE{3} was specifiedIt seems like I need both streams to be ready at the FeatureMerger at the same time but I have not been able to gain control over execution order or block passthrough features through a variety of attempts. The goal is to read from both a CAD model and a DB, then compare the two datasets on a unique key, then write an SQL statement to a text file or SQLExecutor. I've only attempted this with the text file writer while 

No bookmark navigator in 2024.2Bookmark navigator in 2023In FME 2023.2, there was a "Show Bookmark Navigator" checkbox under Tools → FME Options → Toolbars.In FME 2024.2, this option seems to be missing on my system.
