I am just getting started with trying to use deployment parameters. When creating a scheduled automation, I thought I could use cron in a scheduled automation trigger but store the cron details in a deployment parameter. I took a working cron configuration and stored those details in a deployment parameter. Then when trying to enable the automation I got this error message in the debug log: Unable to assemble automation. Invalid Cron expression: {deployment.Trap_Daily_CRON}I am selecting the deployment parameter from the menu when creating the cron configuration, not just typing this in so I had expectations that this would succeed.There doesn’t seem any way to get this working that I can see.Is this something that is actually available?This is on FME Flow Hosted 2025.1.3.

Hi! I’m trying to read dwg files containing AEC objects and have found that the Civil 3D reader should be the one to use for this purpose. With this reader, I manage to read features but they are just a proxy of the correct objects that I’m trying to read.Is there an automated solution for this in FME (some parameter that I’m missing?) or do I have to save the model in a separate dwg file as described in this post (8 years ago) before I can read all objects correctly in FME?Thanks!

I have a process in FME and I want to send an email with the Emailer transformer at the end. I've already written in the email body the data I want to appear in the email, but the problem is that I want to send it in plain text format and not in HTML. The Emailer transformer always wraps my text in HTML, even though I already changed it to FME's format; it seems that every time I exit the transformer to run the process, it doesn't save the text settings in the transformer. Does anyone know how to change this?

Hi,I have 79 single-band rasters, each a step in a time series, with Int8 values that reprepresent a risk class. I want to get the max value for each cell and use a RasterMosaicker to achieve that. Then I use a RasterToPolygonCoercer to convert to polygons for further analysis. My problem is that converting the raster from the RasterMosaicker is extremely slow and performance demanding compared to converting the individual raster I have before the mosaicker (the timesteps are converted in a matter of seconds whereas the mosaicked raster takes in the range of an hour or more). This is an example of my workspace:Why is it so much slower to convert the mosaicked raster? As far as I can see they have the same properties and dimensions. It does have more data but not by much and still most of the cells are nodata. Is there a faster way to achieve the same thing or am I missing something? Thanks!

We have a distributed architecture of FME Flow 2025.1.2 using our own Tomcat deployment and we’re offloading our SSL via F5 into our private IP space. The issue we’re seeing is in the FME Flow REST API Gateway is the URL used in CURL/Request example URLs are http but should be https.We don’t believe its a CORS issue since we’re inside our domain. Where is FME Flow getting the CURL URL? Can we change it in a config file? Or is something else going on?

Hi all,I have a workflow in FME where I need to iteratively buffer a feature and check for neighbours, until no neighbour is found.The logic I want is roughly this: Buffer the feature by 10 m Use NeighborFinder to check if any neighbour exists If a neighbour is found, increase the buffer by 5 m Check again with NeighborFinder Repeat (increase buffer by 5 m each time) Stop when no neighbour is found and output that feature So the buffer distance sequence would be something like:10 m → 15 m → 20 m → 25 m → … until no neighbour exists  What is the recommended way in FME to build this kind of iterative / looping buffer logic?  Thanks in advance!

When people download data from us they get maps that have names about what kind of data they are downloading and not the names. Like the photo but under the folders there are the names that i can control (see blue circle). Does anyone know how to change this or just skip the folders and just let everything go to the same place? They have a demo for this for shapefiles where they go in the same folder but it cant be used for cad as it needs to use layer name not for naming files but for the layer name I want in the file. Also when you do this you get extra attributes from other files even if they are just empty. Hello everyone,I’m working on an FME workspace where I need to process multiple input files sequentially within the same workflow, and I want to make sure that each file is processed independently, without any data or state being kept in memory from the previous file.Conceptually, what I’m looking for is a way to flush or reset the internal state between files, so that:cached features, temporary aggregates, statistics, or in-memory objectsfrom a previously processed file do not affect the processing of the next one.ContextI’m looping over multiple files (using a file-based workflow, not separate workspaces). The workflow includes transformers that may keep internal state (e.g. aggregations, statistics, grouping, geometry operations). The goal is to guarantee deterministic, per-file processing, similar to a “clean run” for each file.My questionsIs there a native way in FME to explicitly flush / reset the internal state of a workspace between input files? Hi there!I get tons of these messages from some workspaces created with FME 2020 (in Norway) and now  migrated to FME 2024: The Startup Python Script changed the current FME process locale from 'Norwegian Bokmål_Norway.utf8' to 'C' and FME has restored it back to 'Norwegian Bokmål_Norway.utf8'. It is undefined behavior to change locale and doing so may cause unexpected errors. Has anyone in the UK who is using the Ordnance Survey Maps API managed to get them added into FME for use as a background map.  I have tried and get nothing to display….Any advice welcome...

Hello FME TribeThanks to FME for organizing this 12 days treasure hunt! I was back to my school days trying to decipher code and spending hours together checking images 😃 This is regarding the first Image Puzzle that was asked in the 12 days FME contest. The compass in the image displays the year 2014 faintly on a compass. This was spotted by me and when I entered the value 2014 in the text box I always got a error message which read something like The entered value is in a date format that I am not aware of . That made me think that the expected value to be in conventional date format. Probably the message could have been more precise. At the same time, I can also see that many others have successfully answered that quiz.Did anyone face the same problem? Now that the contest is over, I just thought I can safely check whether others also faced the same problem.  RegardsGovind

I am reading the feature classes and tables from an Oracle Reader, and many of those are not having any records, the tables are empty. But I want all of those in my ESRI FGDB output which I am using in the Feature Writer dynamically. How to achieve this? Any leads?

Ever since the merging of SQLServer spatial and SQL Server non-spatial Reader types, my SQLCreators and SQLExecutors generate a warning:Microsoft SQL Server Reader: Table `___FME_Custom_SQL_Statement___' does not include a spatial column. Geometry will not be read In Form this is easily ignored, but it really messes up my Jobs overview dashboard on Flow, because it results in quite a lot of listings with warnings that do not need checking. And I can’t seem to find a way to tell FME that yes, I know, there is no geometry coming through in this sql, don’t worry about it because I did not select it - on purpose (or because it does not exist).I really do not want to turn off all warnings generically, I am just searching for a way to stop this particular warning. Before the merge it was easy: just use the non-spatial type, and the warning would go away. But that is not an option anymore unfortunately...

I’ve been struggling with the File Geodatabase Open API FeatureWriter in FME. When I create a new file geodatabase from scratch, everything runs successfully. However, when I switch the FeatureWriter to Drop and Create, I encounter random failures with the error:Geodatabase Error (-2147467259): General function failureHere’s my setup:The workbench consists of a series of Oracle SQLExecutors that read each table, followed by a FeatureWriter to convert the data into feature classes in the file geodatabase. I originally used a dynamic workspace, but after seeing this error (and reading advice to limit the number of features processed dynamically), I changed the design so each table is processed in series. The failures occur at different FeatureWriters each time, so it’s not tied to a specific table. I tried using Truncate instead of Drop and Create (since truncating is better for avoiding file locks), but it was very slow, so I abandoned that approach. As a workaround, I check for lock fi

I have images taken by a camera mounted on a vehicle, with GPS (4326) coordinates recorded every millisecond. I also have a road reference dataset in a shapefile (epsg :2154) and I need to match my millisecond-spaced images (and their GPS coordinates) to this road reference. There will obviously be some discrepancies between the GPS measurements and the reference dataset, but how can I best align the GPS data with the road reference?
