Hello,I try to migrate a dataset from MSSQL_JDBC_Spatial into the writer GDB.The writer GDB is GDB with imported XML Workspace Dokument-only Schema from Dataset SSQL_JDBC_Spatial (created in ARcGIS).In reader I have got feature classes, attachments and relationships.During the running of Relationship classes, I´ve become an error. Somebody any Idea?Thanks

Hi, I'm converting a file from XML to GeoJSON. The conversion goes fine, but I want the coordinates to be in a line ("geometry":{"type":"LineString"...). I'm somewhat new to FME Workbench and can't figure out how to do it in the conversion, is it possible? 

Can I not "zoom to selected feature" in the workbench?

Hello, I was wondering if there is any way I can save a report from SQL Reporting Service into a shapefile? This lit building report has lat/lon and If I can grab from one of the formats it exports and then convert to a point shapefile, that would be my end goal. I have tried saving the excel using HTTPCaller to a folder then writing that to shapefile, but it has not been able to get the file. Is there another way that I should be going about this if it is possible? I would most likely not be able to get access to the backend database due to IT Assurance.

Hi, so my FME 2017.1 (32 or 64 bit) crashes when trying to save workspace. Bizarre, right. Anyway, here are some pics for info. Hopefully this will help. I can't post workspace since it crashes.   Cheers,Zelimir

I noticed some strange behaviour while exporting some simple data to shapefile: when using the "tech preview" (writer of featurewriter) my attribute name and values are trimmed to one character...I've read this format is still under active development, but as i couldn't find it as a known issue: is this a bug or am i doing something wrong? expected output (using the 'classic' shapefilewriters): tech preview output: using FME(R) 2019.1.3.0 (20191007 - Build 19642 - WIN64)example workbench:

I'm using the Smallworld Edition of FME 2018.1 and trying to read in data from Smallworld v5.2.1 but it isn't working. It reads 5.1.9 fine. How can it get it to work?

Hello Forum,I want to use a shareable link from my Google Drive, that I want to integrate into my Workbench, because I'm planning to share my FMW with other people. My link refers to a folder containing data.I don't want to share with others my account connection informations though.I'm looking at the GoogleDriveConnector and I don't see a way to download files from a shareable link.Then I thought about the HTTPCaller, but I can't figure how neither.Is it possible to do that? If not, what option do I have? AWS, Azure, Dropbox, I'll probably have the same issue?Thanks!

I currently have an excel containing a few hundreds of addresses and information, which needs to be put into multiple PDFs. Each PDF need to contain an introduction letter and a map. This map is generated in ArcMap and exported as png. The excel contains a path reference to a folder where all the png's are stored. So, each excel value (letter) has it's unique png.I'm trying to create a PDF page for each png, for this I am using the pdf_page_formatter. I succeeded in generating a page for each map (by using pdf_page_number). However, the png will not show-up in the PDF. Is there a way that FME will load the png in the PDF, using only a path reference?For example: C:\\Temp\\output\\105899887_RDK02K4525.png

Hello,i have recently moved from windows to mac and i have install a MYSQL server,i have used the data connections many times but when i am connecting i am now getting this areaError connecting to MYSQL database('localhost','sys'): 'Can't initialize character set unknown (path: compiled_in)'a bit of search online seem to say that a config file is not installed by default on a mac OS install, i have created a default one within the MYSQL workbench but i am still getting this error and i am not an expert on SQL by any means! any help would be much appreciated cheersJames

How can I, in workbench, connect to postgis with ssl on? According to this thread it should be possible but I can't find the setting anywhere.

I have a large 3D model in the compression format. For conversion to the b3dm format I use scripts on github. But the output is only one file, and I need to split it into files up to 3 mg in size. If any ready-made solution or you need to write your own scripts?  How to make 3d tile in b3dm format?

I have a workspace in which I create a viewport and then center the model space over specific coordinate, this works great, until I try and twist the viewport, then I only get viewport twist and no centering or scaling of the viewport, is there an attribute order I am not respecting? I really need to focus the viewport and twist it.Here are the transformers I am using to create viewport and calculate twist angle. Here are the attributes I am creating with the attribute creator.  And I am getting center of location in model space units from CenterPointExtractor  This works great to get the viewport centered on a specific location, as soon as I add this I lose the location inside the viewport and all I get is twist angle in the viewport no custom scale or focus on x,y. Anyone have a similar issue? Here is viewport with autocad_viewport_twist_angle set, the rotation of viewport is good, but no focus  And once I remove the twist angle attribute I get this, the viewport is center perfect. H

Hi,I have updated my FME Desktop 2018.1 to FME 2019.0 and my workflow writing excel files based on a template file stop working. I was able to go around missing conditional formatting with few ExcelStylers. However, I am still missing the print layout which I have defined in the template. All required formatting stays in the template sheet, but is not distributed to the sheets written by FME. What have 2019 version changed and how can I use my template file again?

I am trying to a .KMZ file format into my workspace using the GOOGLE KML reader. After I cliced OK, it prompts me with all these Feature Types (AnimatedUpdated, Document, FlyTo,....) I am not sure which to select. I am following the link @ https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/19918/how-to-expose-feature-attributes-from-kml-tag.html to connect the reader to the HTMLToXHTML Converter but I can't get the reader to load the correct file. Hello, Does FME support Microstation Connect DGN "Item sets"?I have an Item named Roof attached to a cell with a Type attribute of value 1030 - please see image below and attached.Unfortunately, I cannot see it when I preview the data in FME Data Inspector.Does it mean FME does not support "Item Stes"?Please note that "Item Sets" in Microstation Connect are equivalent to DGN v8 "Tags Sets", i.e. tags.I need to be able to read them, i.e. item set values.Please see the DGN attached as well.Your help much appreciated!Many thanks, Magda

HiI am trying to work with the path reader and trying to do the following 2 tasks but struggling to decide the best way to do it and also how.1) The path finder is picking up a geodatabase. At feature reader it picks up 5 feature classes. At generic stage or next step is there anyway for it to pick up a specific feature class? This will mean i can then query the results just for that feature class.2) The output which is the geodatabase changes name on weekly basis. I would like to write out to this geodatabase without having to manually change the file output to the geodatabase. Would this be possible in the same way the path finder is used to find the original directory.Example is below 

Hi, I am very new to FME and I have just created a workflow to transform DWG/DXF files into OBJ files. However, I have noticed that the .mtl file is not generated together with the .obj one. I am using an AttributeManager to do the conversion and, apart from the .mtl not being generated, the .obj looks fine.  Thanks in advance for any help.

New to FME world, interested to discover if apart the conversion capabilities will be possible to automatically regroup items based on their metadata and geometrical properties.As example group all elements that are tagged (in Revit or IFC) as Windows, first floor and have the same number of polygons after the conversion in fbx format.

Hello,I'm new to FME Desktop and since it seems to be a powerful tool for translating files, I wonder if it's possible to convert a .kml file (which include some 3D geometry) to .ifc? I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find anything covering that matter.

I'm using a FeatureWriter to create an Access Database and for the most part I'm very satisfied with the results.However there are some quirks that I don't understand.First, I didn't find anyway to update the created database each time I run the FME. I have to first delete the previous table to be able to generate a new one.Is there a way to automatically update the table with each run of FME?Secondly, in one instance, while FME shows 8 206 610 rows have been generated, only ~4000 have effectively been written in the Access database. I added an inspector before the FeatureWriter, and the inspector shows 8 206 610 rows.Any idea on what happenned? what did I missed?
