I have an AutoDesk Recap Mesh file(.rcm extension) is it possible to translate this to an Esri I3S file using FME Desktop?

While it is not possible to read the AutoDesk Recap Mesh file natively in FME, there is a workaround that can be done. In AutoDesk, there is an option to export the Recap Mesh file as an OBJ file. If you can get a hold of the .rcm file along with the OBJ export, the attached workspace will allow FME to position and generate an i3s file based on that Obj/rcm file.

The attached workspace should be set up to point at a directory of OBJ files and their Recap Mesh files and output to a i3s file.
