Has anyone tried do configure a FlexLM manager on a Kubernetes environment? Can someone inform me whether it is possible or not? If yes, what should I should watch out for?

Dear FMEers, We are proceeding to upgrade to 2022.1 FME Server and would like to take advantage ofthe Azure Marketplace install option. Our cloud provider noticed that domain joining is not supported in the current Marketplace install. There are some workarounds available but this negates some of the benefit of using Marketplace. Has anyone used this configuration and what is their experience? We need to decide early next week whether to go down this route or whether to go for a tried and test traditional deployment on an Azure VM. At the moment we have a single stack and should stay this way for the next year. Any tips or experiences would be appreciated. Annette  

hey guys, I'm installing FME Desktop 2022 on a linux operating system (ubuntu 20.04), but it does not install the sdk! any directions on how to install the sdk on that system? i can't find any sufficient documentation about it

I need that every user who launches FME Workbench has set paths to a shared folder, in order to share connections to databases. However, I do not find where FME saves this information. In the Windws registry?

We have setup a FME server with app gateway as the load balancer. App gateway (App Gateway IP) is mapped to Azure Front Door. Azure Front door URL is mapped with the public DNS. When user logins using SAML credentials (IDP: Azure Active Directory), user login is successful but it is redirect the application to Application Gateway URL rather than public URL (which is mapped to Azure Front Door).

After upgrading to FME Server/Desktop to 2022.1 we are now having issues with the workbenches running SQLite with a joiner. The application stops on this transformer. Appears to connect them nothing after. Any ideas?

I have two fme versions installed, 32 and 64-bit. I need to run my workbench in 32-bit but the default version is 64. How can i adjust for this when i run the workbench using python. Currently it fails silently with "Failure running workspace" and i am guessing the version is the issue. I would like to overwrite a feature class in our ArcGIS Enterprise database into our online Portal on a weekly basis. I have attempted this in ArcGIS ModelBuilder but there is only the option to "Replace web layer".  I have seen a few people use AttributeRemover and AttributeManager to overwrite a published web layer but I would like to know if there is a best-practice workflow to this.  Thanks!

Hi. Im having no luck connect to sql express db. Can FME connect to SQL Express? If so, should I be using the ADO or JDBC reader? Also, is there anything else that could be an issue? Ive put the server and instance name in and port 1433 is open. Thanks

Hi all, I am new to FME and got a configuration question. I noticed that when I start an FME translation, so-called "shared folders" are created (https://desktopmanualbasic.safe.com/DesktopBasic3BestPractice/3.19.SharingResources.html#shared-resource-folders). Obviously, there is a default location below which these folders are created. For me, this default location is '<USERDIR>\\Documents\\FME'. I have seen that under Tools > FME Options > Default Paths > Shared FME Folders  the paths for these shared folders can be configured. However, it appears that there, only an EXTRA location is configured - IN ADDITION to the

Hello, I am newbie to FME and need help on FME setup on Kubernetes cluster. I am refering to HEML chart as mentioned here : https://github.com/safesoftware/helm-charts  I see all configuration is related to POSTGRES and nothing related to SQLServer.  Can anyone please help how do I deploy FME on Kubernetes which uses SQL server database?   

Is there any guidance on installing FME in AWS? The same question (https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hH8aSAE/installing-fme-server-on-aws) was asked 2 years ago but wasn't answered. Kubernetes and FME Cloud are not options I can use unfortunately. I would like to use ephemeral machines that can scale with demand and be auto-replaced if they become unhealthy. I'd also like to simply replace the servers using newer versions of the AMI when OS patches or FME updates are released (I don't want long running servers that I have to nurse and treat as pets). I would like separate auto scaling groups for the engines so I can spin up as many as I want when they're needed and don't have to run more powerful (and expensive) servers when their not required. Hi,FME's background maps are not showing up when I'm on my company's VPN.I've tested a few ones (STATMEN, ESRI, MaoBox). They all work fine without VPN, but they don't (or sometimes they will for a very short period of time) when I'm connected with VPN. The fun part : I've tested the same maps with QGIS and ArcGIS Pro and they work flawlessly. Anybody ever face that problem ? Thanks Phil

The FME Server license doesn't recognize the current machine because it is limited to one or more specific machines.Use FME Sever on a machine for which it is licensed. Kindly assist us same.

Background maps has stopped working - this link: https://api.dataforsyningen.dk/orto_foraar_wmts_DAF?service=WMTS&request=GetCapabilities&token=dcfd5bb56caa13f5f4fcef0b65c45f8eworks in other applications (QGIS 3.16) and used to work flawlessly in FME. Upon updating it has stopped working as a background map, but seems to work as intended in FeatureReader. What happened to background maps? And what can I do to fix it?  FME Desktop 2021.1.3.0 21631

When I try to run the FME license server in windows service, I get the below error. We are using Tomcat, installed by itself, on the FME server on port 80. DB server is a separate Oracle Server. I need to move the web service to Tomcat on a different server, to port 80. In the documentation, it says to 1) modify the web server url in fmeserverconfig.txt, then 2) edit the services in the web interface.  I assume step 2 should be a step 3, and step 2 would be to start up Tomcat, Core, Server, DB, on the servers, allowing the war files to build, correct?
