I have been provided with a compressed gdb file as a 7Z File but having no luck reading it.
The first image shows my aim - each geometry has an envelope containing info for upper and lower corners. The second image shows where I am now. Note that in my current version I have the envelope outside the building, but I would need to have it inside, and also would need a separate envelope inside the ground surface.
Does anyone have suggestion/workaround for inserting data into Oracle "Interval" data type field? I don't see any comments on FME idea. But I thought it worth asking in forum if someone had a workaround. https://community.safe.com/s/idea/0874Q000000TlVCQA0/detail?smartspace=ideas-fme-server&t=1616021806783 My only thought is building a trigger on table. Use a varchar2 field and convert it into "interval" type before insert or updates.
1) I am looking for a list of modules that come default with FME 2020.2 install.2) What is the default directory for python and python modules?Thank you,TylerFME2020.2
Hello! I'm iterating through 58 file geodatabases and grabbing a feature class of a common name from each (though I'm only using 3 of the feature classes for testing right now). Then I'm trying to use the AreaOnAreaOverlayer transformer to effectively clip millions of features by state boundaries and give them a field with a value for which state they are in. There seems to be a bottleneck at the AreaOnAreaOverlayer transformer (see attached screenshot) that is on track to take hundreds of hours with just 5% of the data coming through. FME 2021.0 is using ~20GB of memory and I'm getting the following message in my log:ResourceManager: Optimizing Memory Usage. Please wait...AreaOnAreaOverlayer (OverlayFactory): Searching for topologically significant nodes... 0.79% done Does anyone know of a faster way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated!
I have two datasets: One polygon split into equal, 100m segments with a Start/End point for each polygon (Ex. 100 -200, 200-300, etc). The second is an excel file that external users fill out, supplying their needed work areas (this is based off the start/end from the polygons but can be a range - 100 to 300, etc). I want to take the Excel file, take its range of data and extract just those polygons that fall into that range. Unique IDs can be used but I just do not know how to select ranges from one dataset based on an excel file. Any help is most appreciated, Thank you.
Greetings,Setting up the google drive connector I read the app permissions which is shown below. It states the app wants permission to 'EVERYTHING'. My question is, what does this mean? Does "app" mean "SAFE". In other words will SAFE/SAFE employees have access and view of the entire google drive? Or does it mean the only the app will be able to see it and hold any private google drive info on the private local desktop?Thank you,Tyler FME2020.2, Windows
I'm trying to install FME but I am getting errors. If there was a log file, it might be helpful to identify what is going on!Keywords: desktop install log server install log command line install
I have vegetation data of a city, but it is given in implicit geometry and when I open the converted shp file of it, it has no spatial extention. I was told it should be possible to transform the file in FME and to multiply the matrix with the reference point. I tried using transformers of FME like coordinateExtractor and Coordinate system setter but it didn't work and I honestly don't really know what I am doing.Appreaciate any tips and instructions!
When creating more complex JSON's with a double JSONTemplater the workspace fails on ampersants (&). With just one JSONTemplater the templater can handle &-characters. Of course I can do a work around bij replacing but that's not what I want. Has anyone an idea how to fix this?
Scenario: Assuming A = 1, B= 3, C=4, How do I use FME to work out the rest of the blanks Much Appreciated
Hello,I am using FME to convert data in .gdb format to .dwg format. In the data I have I have a data layer with rows.In this layer each line contains the coordinates of an x, y point that I want to create but I can't. Can you help me ?
we only have a colored point cloud that we want a model of for example for sketchup. There is no other data such as photosFiltering and creating a model works but I have lost the color information
Is there any way I can use the http caller without an input (Can I start a process with that transformer)? My use case is that I'm trying to create Cityworks Inspections from File geodatabase records and update those inspections with records from the same File geodatabase. In order to do this I need to fetch all the Questions and Answers from the Inspection template to get a list of all the question ID's and Answer ID's. From there I need to somehow map the FGDB records to those Answer values based on the ID's. This would be simpler if I could just call the Cityworks API through the http caller to fetch all of the information as JSON without needing to feed in my GDB s an input. Essentially I want a list of all possible questions and answers for an inspection template to be used later on without having to first feed something into the http caller. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!😀
Input: Output:linear reference worked correctly to produce the shorter segment on the left, but it also copied the other Track 1 line (mile 1 to 36.81)Track 1 was originally a multi-part feature with a gap in the middle. I broke it to single-part thinking multi-part was causing the issue.I checked the linear referenced route data, the measure limits contain the input ranges. How do I know what went wrong?
Hello everyone,I have some shapefiles(sea, lakes or etc.) of the some water bodies of the city. And for a smart city study we processed and published cityGML models of buildings as tileset. Now, I want to visualize the water bodies as in the examples that I attached and I have shape files. So, how can I create textures via Translators of FME Desktop. Thanks in advance. @Takashi Iijima @jdh @Hans van der Maarel @danilo_fme @daveatsafe
I have the first two pieces worked out thanks to some support from our community. Thanks again to @jdh for the support yesterday with JSON parsing. My workbench features two API calls. GET JOBS LISTGET JOBS DATAThey both work, but GET JOBS DATA is currently hard coded for one job. I'm trying to loop through features within an attribute (JOB_ID) so that the GET JOB DATA API call can be looped against the JOBIDs from the JOBS LIST. How can I use looping to iterate a list of features into that API call? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!
Hi. I am trying to create a workbench that transforms a certain csv file into one that my drawing program can understand. It uses semikolons as delimiters, but it also needs every row to have two semikolons in a certain place. This is an example of how it should be: Auto0076;490496.620;6088527.736;0.733;65;; This is an example of what I can make it write: Auto0076;490496.620;6088527.736;0.733;65 How can I insert the extra two semikolons at the end? Regards Rasmus
I have a set of lines (transport lines), which frequently overlap. I would like to create parallel segments of those lines when they do, without breaking line continuity. The result would be similar to what can be seen on mist transport maps (such as [this one]).Is this possible to do this using FME ? I am aware that this is quite a complex process. Thanks in advance !
I would like to know if I can upload a custom font library inside TesseractCaller.
I'm looking for some transformer that would help me calculate the area of each raster value. I tried vectorizing it using "RasterToPolygonCoercer" and then using "Area Calculator" and "Statistics Calculator", but it takes too long because there are many rasters and they're quite big. Is there any other approach I could use?
My Feature Type has several attributes (eg. a, b, c, and s). One of them (e.g. s) is special , it contains the name (string) of one of the other attributes. Now I would like to test my features. I would like to use the string value content from this special attribute s (which for example is 'b') in order to define the left value attribute for my test, for example: @Value(b).Any hints for that are very welcome! Many thanks!
Hi all - Total FME noob here. I appreciate any assistance or advice you can offer... I am attempting to load a shapefile (https://healthyplacesindex.org/data-reports/) to SQL server. I can view this file in Data Inspector (uses CS_NAME: NAD83.CA/Teale). This file contains census data (with map polygons) for California (which I understand commonly has self-intersectors). I am getting errors when attempting to load this to a MS SQL (SSMS 18). The Writer throws many warnings but no errors. It appears to complete successfully, but no records are written to the SQL table it created. Microsoft SQL Server Spatial Writer: Coordinate system `NAD83.CA/Teale' (EPSG:3310) unknown to SQL Server; Labeling features as LL-WGS84 insteadMicrosoft SQL Server Spatial Writer: Failed to get the SQL Server native binary form for column 'GEOG' I am currently looking into adding a transformation for Geometry Validator, but I am hesitant to "correct" content if I don't know what I
I have a migration job from Oracle to PostgreSQL (PG). Null values in Oracle appear to be empty strings in PG. Null values are in both numeral and char data types. If I want all null values in Oracle to be also null value in PG, what transformer or method should I use for this migration? Thanks.
I everyone, I need to vertically shift data between two canadian orthometric heights (HT2.0 to CGVD2013). I have this conversion grid in .byn format (I get it from NaturalRessources Canada website) and create de .gdc file to use it in the CsmapReprojector transformer. However the CsmapReprojector transformer offers only orthmetric to ellipsoid or ellipsoid to orthometric handling, but the shift should be between to orthometric heights. So when I try both I get my data shifted up or down regarding to the vertical handling choice. But I have no idea wich one is the right shift ! Is there's a way to just apply (or transform) a .byn file for vertical shift ? Thanks !
