Here you can see the complicated geometry, I want to cut it at the red arrow. Based on this line, that intersects the geometry: I tried this using a couple of methods, where the FME hub transformer PolygonCutter got the best result. However I did not get 2 features in the end, and the geometries where not exactly the same as the input. The only thing I want is just a simple cut on the place of the line, that splits the geometry in 2 pieces. So I can assing different values to both of them.
I have a line & point shapefiles, I want to create a one-to-many spatial join so that the line would get all the point attribute information which are present in its surroundings, i tried some methods but no proper result, can someone please suggest ?

Dear Experts,We have Smallworld 4.3 and I have installed FME 2020.2.3.0 (Build 20820 WIN32). I have installed Translator 4.3 and copied the sworldswaf dll and fmf in FME installation folder and metafile folders. FME is able to read the ds file but unable to extract the feature types. I have gone thru the link. As explained, I changed the dll file to 4.2.2 version and checked but result is same... I have attached screenshots for reference with FME and FMENOFACTORY services. Can some one suggest me if I'm missing anything... Thank you,Pratap
Hello I have a metadata json file that I would like to transform to xml.Is there a particular route using transformers to do this? I have tried importing the json with a reader the using a xml templater and then writing as an xml but the result is no then viewable in the FME data inspector. Any suggestions? Thank you
Picking any country from https://osm-boundaries.com/Map >download tick all_tags gives this in FMEHowever in attribute manger I can only see the 7 input attributesThe all_tags looks like thisWhat I'd like to do is extract the non "name" tags as unique attributes E.G. is_in, ISO3166-2, wikkidata etc. Some of the tags are like is_in:country : VALUEand keep the rest as a JSON string (keeping the values as is maintaining diacritics)Some features have more unique tags than others so my output PostGIS table will have all possible columns and any feature with out a particular tag should be a NULL string I can then write to a PostGIS database Can someone tell me how to extract the all_tags JSON string as described?
I am trying to create a 2D oriented bounding box around the point cloud of a roof with a boundingboxreplacer and the appropriate option, but the result is the same as a standard 2D bounding box. I expect an rotated bounding box. What am I doing wrong?
HiI want to know for all records with a certain project number whether certain other attributes are the same. For example, all the records with projectnumber A97652 must have the same startdate and owner, if ist not the same then i must change the one that's different. I think i need a transformer with a group by function. I have tried the matcher but it doesn't do exactly what i want. Does anyone know wich transformer i have to use?
Hi, I have to do a SOAP request to an API inside a workspace and I have to use Digest Authentication. The URL is in HTTPS protocol, I have a "SOAPAction" header and a body with a text/xml Content-Type. Inside the HTTPCaller I checked the "Use Authentication" box and entered the right credentials.I also use Fiddler on the same machine to see which request is sent. So, my problem is that i get a 500 internal server error because "there is no body, SOAP XML message". It's weird cause i really have the specified body, but when i see it in Fiddler, there is indeed no body, there's just the headers. The thing is, when i use a Basic Authentication, the problem is not there, a body is present in the request... (of course the request is then rejected because of the wrong authentication though). What am I missing in the configuration of this transformer ? Thank you for your answers !
Hi, I have two CSV readers containing the same informations but with different range of value. Let's say that I have something like this:Reader_1:[ATTRIBUTE_1](UINT8)[ATTRIBUTE_2](DOUBLE)And Reader_2:[ATTRIBUTE_1](UINT64)[ATTRIBUTE_2](DOUBLE)(FME has choosed the datatype automatically) Since both reader have the same attribute's name, I connect both reader's output to a "sorter" transformer. And here, a weird thing happens, the sorter output ATTRIBUTE_1 as UINT8 (I expected that FME would choose the biggest datatype, not the smallest one). But some value are bigger than 255:Is that a miracle ? Then I use a StatisticCalculator to find the max value of ATTRIBUTE_1 group by some other attributes and the output is, this time, limited to 255. So why FME do not pick the biggest datatype ? How can a FME_UINT8 variable be bigger than 255 and what can I do to calculate my statistics correctly ? Of course I can manually change the ATTRIBUTE_1 datatype, but that does not explain that weird be
This is needed to send a zip file Base coded with a Soap request. Someone ?? Thanks Nick
Hi Community, I just wanted to know that for a pipe geometry co-ordianates...council ideally collect points for particular pipe as a polyline (meaning having more than two co-ordinates for a line). My Question is how to collect co-ordinates of starting and end point of a specific line out of given all co-ordinates defining a polyline?
Hello,I've created a process that executes a SQL query that I exportin a CSV file with a dynamic filename. "CANCEL_" + date of execution + ".csv" That part works fine. But I want to send the file by email with the transformer EMAILER. I can't figure out how to manage the dynamic filename. Everything I tried fail :( I've put the filename directly in the SQL query with the field name "fichier", that I retrieve in a variable. Any idea?my error message Thanks a lot !
Hi, I tried to load data to existing dataset in BigQuery, but it always failed (said that my user account doesn't have bigquery.jobs.create permission, which actually I have the owner access). I have follow the step from https://community.safe.com/s/article/loading-a-single-file-to-bigquery Could someone help me on this? Thanks
Hi I have a near infrared jpg. In the data inspector it says Band 0 (GRAY8). When I look at the NDVI calculator I see two ports (Red, Infrared). I've seen somebody used something like this: I don't know how to configure the testfilters so they give the correct output. Can somebody tell me if that's the way to go and if so how to configure the testfilters?
I'm adding an attribute to the output ports on the ListSearcher transformer, and it fails. The new attribute is created on the features, but the value became <missing>. Doing the same on other transformers works. Have anyone else experienced this?(I'm on FMEdesktop build 20817)
Hi I would like to mosaic some geotifs togheter to make a DTM from a larger area. Some of the geotif tiles have a min of -9999. If you load the tile in QGIS it's completely blank. If you check the rastervalue's they give the correct height. So it's only cosmetic, the data is ok. You can adjust the min in QGIS, resulting in a much better result. I tried to change the min of the geotifs with a negative min in FME. I use the rasterbandminmaxextractor followed by a simple tester. So far it works, but now I want to change the min to 0. I used the attributemanager and I used the rastercellvaluereplacer. They both don't work. I've also tried the rasterinterpretationcoercer a bit, but it changed the values. How should I fix this ?
I have many tables in my ESRI SDE, within most of these tables they contain an Asset_ID, this colmn name varies, it could be many things including AID, AssetID, ASSETID, Asset_ID etc. I need to extract all rows from all tables where the Asset_ID field is present, and has been populated, then push the row into a GeoPackage. That part I am OK with, I just have never worked with the first part, iterating over n number of tables, searching for a varying field name. Can anyone provide any comments or samples to get me off the ground here? I greatly appreciate you taking the time. Kind regards, Ben
How can I turn off the alphabetical sorting of attribute names using the import feature of the attribute creator? There's a "Sorted" option in the wizard but it doesn't seem to do anything?
I was looking into connecting directly SQL server to arcgis and ran into issues when using the update feature in the writer's field, can this be fixed? as when I have it on update I get number of errors, I have found a work around that issue by setting up insert and truncate features instead of update but this is taking too long, any idea why I the update feature is causing issues? and can it be fixed?
As output from a workbench I get a table with some rows of data. This data is send to me via the Emailer. I created a server app with this workbench and now want to get the information, which is send by the Emailer, directly as result in the Server app as a table (see attached image). The content of this table depends on the value of a Published Parameter. I created an image which shows the idea I have in mind:Any ideas?
Hi I just made a jpeg2000, but I can't seem to open it in Photoshop or Gimp. Photoshop says that it can't parse the file. Gimp says it can't decode the file. yet I can easily open it in Qgis . Is there something I'm missing or is this normal?
I have run into some quirky polygons and wanted to see how many nodes/points they consist of. In SQL Server, I can do:Select [SHAPE].STNumPoints()FROM <mytable>where id = 'abc' -- result: 45 When I use the CoordExtractor, I'm prompted to specify the indices of x-coordinates and y-coordinates I want to extract, or I can choose "All Coordinates' and then later extract those I'd like to take a look at. But it turns out, I can ask for index 100,000, and FME will return something that looks like coordinates. Am I not doing this right, or misinterpreting the nature of these indices?
is there a way when using the AreaOnAreaoOverlayer to overlay by date, where it will drop areas if it does not overlay in the following ascending date?
