I have filtered air temp into average daily max and min. And I would like to display them in two columns filtered by date and station. In the final table, only the max temp is showing in both columns. How do I show min temp as well?
I an trying to add a geoid height grid constructed with the workspace from this article Creating Vertical Adjustment Grid files for use with FME (safe.com)I get the file EGG97_QGR.GRD (I changed the extension to .txt to upload) witch I place in "D:\Reproject\GeoidHeightGrids\Romania\"I created a corresponding EGG97_QGR.gdc file in "D:\Reproject\GridData\Romania\" with the content:# https://cngcft.ro/index.php/ro/download/download/2-software/2-cod-sursa-transdatro..\..\GeoidHeightGrids\Romania\EGG97_QGR.GRDI have done this previously with no problems. Only difference is that in the new version the grid doesn't have any NODATA pixels. And maybe FME 2021.0...I Get the following error:Corrupted CS_MAP data file encountered.CS-MAP Reprojector: Unable to load geoid height grid '%0'And:CsmapReprojector (TeeFactory): CsmapReprojector: Reproject: Could not reproject the geometry of the preceding feature: CS-MAP Reprojector: Unable to load geoid height grid 'D:\Reproject\GridData\Romania\EGG97_Q
I'm working with relatively large LAS files and only needing small portions at a time. Is it possible to use a Shapefile to "trim" the excess points before transformation?
Welcome to an extra lucky edition of What’s Up Wednesday. FME 2021We’re still super excited about the 2021 release of FME! I’ve been playing around with some of the new features, especially the Parameter Manager; be sure to check it out. Also, check out the blog and the unveiling webinar if you haven’t seen it yet. BlogAlso new to FME Server 2021 is the idea of streaming data. Check out the latest blog to learn everything you need to know about stream processing. You can also sign up for the Intro to Stream Processing Webinar on March 30th. While you’re there, if you are interested in OGC and Open Standards, see the blog to learn why these standards are so important. Hi, I asked about parquet format yesterday and I had great feedback about my problem (https://community.safe.com/s/feed/0D54Q00008VE8CZSA1) Right now I have a bigger problem - but I think, I have too small knowledge on this topic. I have to connect to azure blob storage (datalake) based on SAS auth, I have permission into SAS key like:ss=bfqtsrt=scosp=rl So, I can create a list and I can read files, also I have SignedResourceTypes like Container, Service, and Object. With parameters like that I see db, I see parquet files, also I can download files via Chrome (link+SAS)But if I want to get attributes (and only it, without download files, because data are too big) - I used this kind of parameters: and I have empty results: My question: Is it possible to get only attribute per parquet file which is existing in azure?Or downloading data is required? What I have:SAS key, which I can "modify", but as I mentioned - I think, I have required permissionsname containeraccount name to S
Hi all.Is there an updated guide for how to change the service accounts running FME Server ? I can only find one for version 2016, and it doesn't apply to version 2020, pointing to some missing installation files.Cheers
Hi all, I have a workbench which takes a CSV, creates vertex's and then publishes to ArcGIS Portal. This works fine and I can view the data in Portal, but it fails if I try to run the workbench again to overwrite the feature... which is something I need to do every morning. I get this error: ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: 'addResults' error for a feature in 'COVID_Joined_Tables'. The error code from the server was '10500' and the message was: 'Cannot convert a value of type 'java.lang.Double' to 'SMALLINT'.' I have the Portal writer set to INSERT and to Truncate first YES, which I think is the right setting to be using? I guess it is something to do with Portal converting a field type when it get's created, and it finds a mismatch when trying to overwrite it. I have checked the attributes of the fields and only one field is down as SmallInteger, so I tried changing that thinking that may have been the field causing the p
Hello everyone! I have a problem with HTTPCaller. I have a request with Russian language in it, and everything in the browser works well, you can see https://geocode-maps.yandex.ru/1.x/?apikey=dee638ec-7943-42fb-85c7-a47699c42211&format=json&geocode=Москва+,+г.Зеленоград,+улица+Заводская,+дом+25,+строения+1,+2,+3,+4,+5,+8 But after HTTPCaller, I have this response: {"response":{"GeoObjectCollection":{"metaDataProperty":{"GeocoderResponseMetaData":{"request":"МоÑква , г.Зеленоград, улица ЗаводÑкаÑ, дом 25, ÑтроениÑ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8","results":"10","found":"0"}},"featureMember":[]}}} So what's problem is? I've already tried all response body encoding, but nothing has changed.
Hi,I have more than 50 databases connection configured with my FME Desktop 2019 version. I would like to upgrade to FME Desktop 2020. My question is if I migrate to the new version ( FME 2020) will I lose my connections to these databases or will it keep them?Regards!
I am trying to setup a parameter as Choice with Alias which contains thousands of possible choices. The issue I'm seeing is after running, the choices are no longer selected. Say I choose 10 items, Run the workbench, and for whatever reason, need to run it again in the same session. All parameter inputs are saved, except for the Choice with Alias.
Hi,I'm trying to use the binding coordinates of a feature to get an image from a WMTS using a feature reader, but I keep getting the following error message which is causing the translation to terminate. <WMTS> WMTS Reader does not recognize the Coordinate Reference System: '%0' The CRS of the WMTS that I'm working with is definitely not '%0' so I'm not sure why the reader thinks that it is. Has anyone come across this issue yet? Thanks.
The thing is some of the coordinates only have 2 points and some have 30+ to make up the lines. I can use AttributeSplitter and create lists, but they are inconsistent when I try to pull out the list using AttributeCreator as some only have 2 and some have 30+. I can split it using ",0;" and then split it again into a separate lat/long for each point. It seems like there has to be an easier way. How would should I go about extracting all of these lat/longs into a line? LineBuilder isn't working for me. Thanks!
I have the geometry for a city that I created in FME using 3d extractor/extruder from building footprints. I then exported that as an fbx (I tried exporting as a shp file but it couldn't export as a multipatch). This was mostly as a checkpoint because the process of creating this geometry creates hundreds of GB of temporary files. I reimport them into another workspace as an FBX to assign attributes and export as Cesium 3D tiles. Now the problem is that the fbx doesn't have the attributes from the first translation that I would need to assign it attributes. Is there a way I could carry over those attributes? I mostly need this to find the heights of the buildings that was used in the extruder transformer
Hello,I was asked something today, where I'm not sure. Maybe? Someone wondered if I can make a FME workflow to evaluate possible design options for some room layouts. The keyword they used was "generative design". It's a stupid marketing term, pushed by Autodesk. So let's call it "what if analysis". Main focus would be placing tables to optimise views, distance to elevator cores, etc. All very doable in 2D... So, I wonder... can I? Did someone attempted something like that?I'm thinking Monte-Carlo, or a simple neural network in R, or Python? I'm aware, there are quite a few tools that do this out of the box. The advantage I see with FME is that this would save me a lot of trouble parsing geometry, much simpler as a workflow.
Hi, I have a data in snappy.parquet format Does this package: https://docs.safe.com/fme/2019.2/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters/safe-labs.parquet.parquet/safe-labs.parquet.parquet.htm open snappy.parquet format? Right now I have error like into txt file. FME see that, but cant read it.
For the following sample text strings extracted from AutoCad dwg file.I tried to build a RegEx pattern to replace the extra spaces in each word to make it consistent and readable.but it's like a mix of good and incorrectly spaced words.Mostly, the pattern looks like : letter <space>letter<space>letter R i v i e r e --->badSt. Martin --->okTatamaka River ---> badSIR MARTIN S. Is there a way to convert Vertical Coordinate Systems from ArcGIS to FME? I have data that I would like to project to NAD 1983 CSRS UTM Zone 17N with a vertical coordinate system of CGVD 1928
Hi!I'm stuck!I want to import geoobjects to a Geodatabase SDE but I cant find where to choose feature dataset and class? I can se the note <not set> but where can I make that choice? Thanks! /Erik
I would like to drap points (FMEPoint), from a ShapeFile, onto a mesh (FMEMesh) from OBJ file format, or retrieve the Z coordinate on the mesh from the XY position of the point. I used in my script the transformer SurfaceDraper, but it rebuild a new mesh that doesn't match the original mesh of OBJ file. So some points are not draped properly. I would like to use PythonCaller to do it instead, but my knowledge in Python is limited. 😥
I am extracting Shapefile. Coordinates are reversed. LONGITUDE, LATITUDE. I need to invert to latitude, longitude.location original is in Brazil but show in Atlantic Ocean. reading -54,-31 but correct is -31,-54 degreess. How do I fix the problem?
FME 2020: How to show the records of the selected features in the table? I couldn’t figure how to show the records of the selected features in the table. This command is already available in ArcGIS
Thanks much!
I'm writing CityGML buildings with xlink's to the surfaces. A few surfaces are donuts. For these surfaces, the xlink is created in the list with surfacemembers, but the id is missing in the geometry of the surface. Does anybody know what the problem is?
Hi,I want to access the api using HttpCaller. (https://api.ieo.org.tr/)works fine on my own computer. but i am getting ssl error on windows server.Chrome can open the page. How HttpCaller sends the request.. What adjustments should I make? Thank you
