When I select NTLM the workspace successfully runs on FME Desktop and FME Server with all features read as expected. When I select Kerberos, the workspace successfully runs on FME Desktop but not FME Server.  The following error is observed in FME Server: “ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Reader: Using authentication ‘Kerberos’ ”“ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Reader: Logging into ‘https://<my ArcGIS Portal host>/portal/’ as user ' ' ”"ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Reader: Could not log into https://<my ArcGIS Portal host>/portal/sharing/rest/generateToken as user ' '. Check your credentials and try again. The error code from the server was '400' and the message was: 'Unable to generate token. 'username' must be specified, 'password' must be specified." Ideally we would like to use a more secure authentication method than NTLM. I use FME 2022.1.0 - if i use a Shape-File with x Points + Attribute: Radius then add an Bufferer Transformer + the right settings for Circles. I get an INVALID_PARAMETER_BUFFER_AMOUNT Error In 2021.2 FME 32bit it is working flawless. Is this fixed in FME 2022.1.1 ? Greez Michael

What is the order of operation for fme_db_operations when sending the results to a writer?  If I have a feature counter attached to the Unchanged Port of the Change detector and test the number of records, can I analyze and terminate the workbench before the Deleted, Inserted, and Updated records get processed in the Writer?

I have a large XML (4GB+) I have trouwble to read. I need all elements, however: pand_bagpandid (2) only becomes a feature when it's the only element selected. If I check 1, I get alle elements execpt pand_bagpandid, when I select individual elements (3) I still get all elements except pand_bagpandid, if I only select pand_bagpandid I do get it, but I don't get any of the other elements. I am inexperienced with xml and have ben struggeling with this for quite a bit now. The xml fragements show the same behavior. Flattening, fragmenting or exposing attributes didn't work for me either

Hi everyone,I’m struggling to change/update values of an IFC-file. Example:old PropertySetIfcPropertySet VolumePosition: 1Unit      : m3Quantity: 15  new PropertySetIfcPropertySet VolumePosition: 1Unit      : m3Quantity: 350 I used the GeometryPartExtractor to extract the IfcPropertySets from a IfcBuildingElementProxy geometry. Then I tried to adapt this https://community.safe.com/s/article/updating-ifc-example into my workspace. I used an AttributeCreator:ifc_property_set_name = VolumeQuantity = 350 After that I configured the GeometryPropertySetter and GeometryPropertyRemover. Unfortunately, the original PropertySet Volume will be deleted after writing. In the updated one, Position and Unit are missing. Is there a way how I can keep the traits of the original PropertySet and only change/update one specific value? thxNel 

My dataset contains date attributes per day that work was completed. My output needs to have the count of attributes that fall within any given week - example week 40 has 25 attributes - going back to the start of the year. I'm new to working with dates in FME so any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I encountered something peculiar last week. I had to compare two datasets about chemical substances measured in groundwater.To compare the datasets, I used the ChangeDetector. While doing so, for one substance an update/change was found for the value of a CASnumber. However, when I look at the originalValue and the revisedValue, I don't see any difference. Also, when I perform a compare using (a plugin of) Notepad++, it also detects a difference in the two CASnumbers. So there seems to be a difference, I just can't seem to spot the difference ;) Maybe some people here can help take a look and provide an explanation? Any feedback is appreciated. The CASnumbers are:CASnumber_1 = '‎483-63-6'CASnumber_2 = '483-63-6' See also the screenshots below for a dummy workspace and the comparison using (a plugin of) Notepad++; 

Hallo FME community,I want to know how to overwrite existing shapefile file and FGDB. With CSV it's clear but with shapefile and FGDB I can't find an option to overwrite.  

This is likely a simple question: I have a workspace set up to read, sample, clip, sort and combine Sentinel-2 data into a single raster with 9 bands. It works fine. The default band numbers generated by RasterBandCombiner are 1-9, but I'd like to name the bands based on the original Sentinel-9 band numbers as displayed in the original rasters. Is there a simple way to designate the raster band names using something like the fme_basename?

I have the basic flow set up: Creator --> AttributeCreator --> Writer and i've set the parameters based on the thread above. My question on the writer is what geometry type and row selection information I need to fill in to get it to trigger? I didn't see this addressed in the two threads on this I found searching.Thanks

Hello,I am trying to read multiple excel files that unfortunately don't come very clean, meaning that the headers are starting on the third row while the first two rows are mainly blank. So I used the "Directory and File Pathnames" reader to pull all the excel files that I need and then connected it to the Feature Reader but the "Attributes to Expose" doesn't work as I don't have headers on the first row. I attached a snip of how the .xls files look. Basically I would need to somehow skip/delete the first two rows and read from there. Not sure.  Can anyone advise on this one? Many thanks!

Quick a simple question but one that has stumped me.I am trying to remove all of the data that has been pulled into FME from a shpfile on AGOL. The aim is to later replace this removed data with new data in same shpfile before reuploading this to AGOL. So I was wondering whether there was a tool that was able to be used just to remove the data while leaving the columns itself.

I'm trying to extract data from the website https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-council-tax-band/search. After submitting a postcode (e.g. LS26 0AG) it returns a coded URL with results, which I want to extract. I've got the last part (extracting the results) working well but I can't figure out how to use HTTPCaller to submit a postcode and get the URL that is returned. The form name is "postcode" but when I set it up and run I get a "HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request" error. Can anyone help please?

I'm buffering a points shapefile, then using the resulting square polygons to clip a raster (vrt OS backdrop). The clipped rasters are then passed to a PDF PageFormatter to produce location maps for each point. My problem is the raster outputs once written to PDF seem to move - placed in relation to the location of the point. how can I force the rasters to be drawn in the same place on the page everytime?

Hello everyone, I have a shapefile with polygons (neighborhoods) and a shapefile with lines (waterways). Each polygon has a specific code attached to it. I want to provide each line with the code of the polygon it runs through. When the line runs through several polygons, it must get the code of the polygon through which the line runs the longest.  Does anyone know how I can best handle this? Regards Bas 

We have a large GeoJSON file, we need to "cut" it in multiple geojson files equal in "size", like each resulting file would be of 1200 meters X 1200 meters and named in a X,Y manner, like "1.5.geojson" and "2.7.GeoJSON". Is there'S a way to do this with FME ?

I am reading some data from a ESRI based web GIS and need to convert them to DWG. The data contains XYZ data, but the Z-values are missing when opening the DWG in CAD-software.  I got Z-values before writing: This is my workspace: AutoCAD: How can I make sure the file contains Z values?

Hello,I am struggling with what I am sure is a very simple thing but one that I cannot sort out. I am using Path to search for specific files in a directory which I then read with the Feature Reader. Thing is, I need part of the path_rootname as an attribute to use forward but I cannot seem to be able and extract it. I created "Year" as per the snips but I don't know how to use it forward. I only get the values from the Generic port but for "Year" I get <missing> for each row. I can see the "Year" attribute in the <Schema> port (and it shows up correctly) but I do not know how to pass it on to the next transformers. I tried connecting the <schema> port along with the <generic> one but it doesn't work. I also tried attribute exposer, attribute creator but no luck. Any ideas on why this isn't working? thank you!
