I have SQL SERVER DATA where ii need to migrate views only to Snowflake is there any way to create the views in FME and migarte data SQL Views to snwflake

I have a polygon (shp or minfo format) assuming it has an area of 5 square miles. Need to reduce the area by 70% resulting to 3.5 square miles now but still keeping somewhat the outline but of a smaller size (like polygon output shrinks) due to the applied percentage. SCALER transformer is closed to what I need but it only applies the percentage to the total perimeter of the polygon and not the area. Any transformer that could do this?

Hi,I need to calculate the least-cost path from a destination point to a source. In ArcGIS I use COST PATH based on the least-cost distance raster (by Cost Distance tool in ArcGIS).is there a way to do something similar in FME? is the Network cost calculator transformer appropiate?Best regards,Felipe Verdú

What would be the most convenient technique for querying data stored on Azure Data Explorer (ADX) from FME Workbench? Should this be done via a HTTPCaller?

But I cannot find the proper way to do it here. I am sure it shouldn't be complicated but I am new to FME with thousands of questions. This is just one of them 😅

I am working with two datasets and I am trying to use Spatial fuzzy matcher to find if there is a similar name nearby within the mentioned distance in this transformer but wherever the fuzzy ratio is 1 it is not there.EG : here I am tryimg to find if there is 'Heavy inlet' in another dataset or similar string, it has mentioned its fuzzy ratio as 1 but there is nothing similar to this near or in the entire dataset.:

I have some floor plan DWG drawing with gaps (walls) between the rooms. The desired result is to make it simplified floor plan, i.e. keep just one line between the rooms.There are hatches that forms the basic shape of polygons to begin with. So far I could get rid of gaps by buffering twice (positive and negative), dividing overlaps and dissolving small artefact sliver polygons to bigger ones. Later snapping the segments. The result is more or less satisfying, I just wonder if there's more elegant solution. For example the snapper (segment) doesn't maintain the orthogonality and makes "crooked" lines...Thanks for any suggestions.

Is there a way to easily pull all of the SQL statements out of all of the SQLExecutors in a workspace? I have several automations that I need to do this for and some of them have hundreds of SQLExecutors in them.

I am trying to update a feature class containing statistics. Basically i am using the following fieldsfme_basenamefme_featuretypeand each value from the fme_db_operation (insert, upsert, update, delete etc) is the number of eachmy problem is, that if there are no deletes i get no features coming through as expected, but how can i still send through the fme_basename, fme_featuretype, and for example the value of zero for the delete attribute.I want to be able to add the total records, but obviously can not do that if there is no value, hence setting as zero.From what i have, if there are changes then they go through the workflow as expected.Regards Andy

Hi!I have an issue that I just don't understand.  Using a FeatureMerger that outputs the correct attributes från the supplier, but it's values are all wrong. First off, I have a TestFilter with output ports depending on if the attribute "Version" is 0, 1 or 2. In this case the output for Version 2 contains 4 points with relevant attributes according to the image below. They are all "Version" 2 and have missing values for "Avslut-datum".Next, I want to use a FeatureMerger to merge this with a bigger database with hundreds of points, to assign the attributes of Version 2 to those said points, if they match. I want to merge the points from the bigger database [requestor] to the output from my "Version 2" [supplier]. See the FeatureMerger parameters in the image below.However, the merged data does not contain the attributes from "Version 2". For example the attribute "Avslut-datum" should be <missing> and the "V

Hi there. I'm preparing our GIS data to adjust to align with new cadastre boundaries when our state mapbase is updated as part of the Digital Cadastre Modernisation. So far with testing it all looks good, but I see one polygon on one the layers has disappeared in the shifted version. On investigating it looks like the adjusted parcel this features sits on looses a few vertices in one corner and the shift vectors being used possibly cause a self intersection. I've attached the example. On the left, the grey is the current parcel boundary and the purple is the shifted, with the shift vector joining.On the right is the particular layer that aligns with the boundary that is disappearing post shift. You can see the shape of the parcel changes and it looks like the shift vectors would cause a self intersection. Just wondering if there are any ways to avoid this? I can see a record in the output data but no geometry, or an invalid geometry. Thanks in advance. Josh

I am trying to use the Geodatabase_SDE writer to publish some content on Workbench to our Enterprise Geodatabase environment. However, when i add the writer to my workbench and browse the list, i find that the Geodatabase_SDE writer is greyed out and there is a popup that indicates i do not have sufficient licensing. For reference i have an ArcGIS Advance License that i use on the daily, and both FME and ArcGIS are using the same License Server. The message doesn't specify if i am missing the ArcGIS or FME licensing to use this writer. Any help is appreciated so that i can move in the direction of progress. *I am not our ESRI software Admin, but want to make sure that when i reach out i don't slap myself on the forehead because it was something i missed.

Hello , i have geodatabase data as input ,it includes different points ,lines ,annotations . I would like to read this data in FME workbench and filter specific data from them for city then write the output again into new geodatabase writer .my problem : when I use spatial filter and use the specific city as filter and the geodatabase data as candidate .so the passed port include all data together and for sure not each input has the same attribute names as other .How could I write the output for my data (passed port ) into geodatabase format and each writer includes only his own data without any problem . 

Is there a way using a regular expression to split a string of text such as an address by a number of words/spaces? Or even more functional, split a line at the first space after a certain number of characters?

Hello Forum. I have two polygon datasets (see attached image). I'd like to create a third polygon dataset showing me the sections of A that do not overlap with B. So, it would create me the polygons as highlighted in C in attached image. Hello everyone, I try to automate a monthly calculation of water deficit, based on monthly rainfall data. Each feature is characterized by a year (integer), a month (integer), and rainfalls (float). The calculation involves the water reserve at the end of each month ("final reserve"), based on rainfalls and number of rainy days.  My challenge is that I need to carry this quantity to the next month ("former reserve" of current month = "final reserve" of previous month). Easy to do in Excel, but I'm not sure if this is possible and how I should proceed in FME.  Is there a matter of "iterative calculation" here, since the data of each month depends on data of previous month ? Should I convert my "year " and "month" integer into date format ? Thank you in advance !Regards,Arnaud 

I have authored a workspace that creates bills for a lot of customers. The item price on the bill has to be returned with 2 decimals, so I take the mean of all the item prices and ceil the number to 2 decimals. Because of an occasional outlier I can't rely on normal rounding function.In the case below I have 1.173 measurements with an item price of 0,43. The min and max is 0,43 and the range is 0. But the mean value is != 0,43. And since I have to use the ceil function the price changes to 0,44. I understand this must be caused by the internal handling of 32 to 64 bit conversion, but in this case a seemingly very simple operations doesn't work. Why can't I rely on the mean calculation?What can I do to rely on it in the future? 

Hi All,I'm trying to update MDB_ADO reader in existing workspace - it's new data delivery with the same structure as the previous one. I'm getting "An error occurred while updating the reader". I tried also open some random tables in blank workspace, and I was able to do it, but after ran workspace I got "Error running translation" or FME has been closed "automatically".At first I tried to do it in FME 2022.1.1.0 (64 bit), MS Office is 64-bit as well.Then I installed the newest version of FME 2022.2.5.0 - at first everything worked fine - I updated mdb reader and I was able to run the whole workspace. When I closed FME and opened it again I wasn't able to update reader or open any other random tables in blank workspace - so same errors like in older FME version.I tried clean all temp files, I created new temp folder, I tried to repair mdb via "Compact and Repair function in AccessDB. After all of these changes I was able again to work

Hi, I'm running a simple workbench that converts a single dwg to GeoJSON. when I start the process normally in FME it works fine. But when I make a bat+tcl I see that the path to the dwg file changes and there is a "\\" missing between the folder (Linjedata) and the dwg file (T_E6SL_P00_f_C_E6-Profillinje.dwg) (AutoCAD Reader: Error opening file 'C:LinjedataT_E6SL_P00_f_C_E6-Profillinje.dwg' during version check) Is this something I can change in the tcl file? However, I got around this by putting the dwg file on C:, but then I only get a new folder with the same name as the dwg file with an empty file called "C" inside as the result, instead of a GeoJSON file. What I'm trying to achieve is just the same as when I start the workbench in FME, but run as a bat file.
