Hi, I'm trying to understand the PointCloudSimplifier transformer.

 I have tested it on a small piece of road scanned with mobile mapping. The road surface is very dense. But when I run the Simplifier the points on the road is not even touched. See attached screenshot. The orange points is the removed points.

What settings should be used to simplify the road surface?Pointcloud

Did you read the help for Transformers PointCloudSimplifier ?

 

Try to set the Normal Estimation Neighbors to a Higher Value and

the same for Plane Detection Threshold
