Has anyone experience the Data Inspector having issues when viewing 3D objects in 2D?

Sometimes I get the Inspector into a state where the application partially freezes. It seems to happen when I switch from 3D to 2D. I'm unable to change what I see on the screen, however, I can see that the buttons at the top are responsive and the context menues.

I switch back to 3D and it'S fine. It's only 2D which isn't working.

Restarting the machine seemed to fix the issue but eventually it come back. Just looking to see if I have a faulty machine/config or if it's FME.

Steps to reproduce:

Open 3D Dataset (3D view opens by default) switch to 2D.

Hey @virtualcitymatt, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue yet and don't see an open bug ticket for this at the moment. Are you experiencing this with a certain dataset, or datasets of a certain size or is that irrelevant?

When the freeze occurs, do you see any errors in the Windows Event Viewer? This would give us the most insight into what is actually happening.

Hi @virtualcitymatt This Data Inspector issue should be fixed in FME 2023.0 Please submit a case if you still this 3D problem in 2023.

Thanks @danatsafe - Any idea whats causing it? I'd like to know if there are any settings I can change. I don't have the issue on my other computer.

@virtualcitymatt Does the other computer have more RAM than your current machine? The issue that I was thinking of only began with FME 2023.0 (now fixed.)

ok so I think I figured out what the "problem" was. I had enabled the FME Data Inspector to use the "high performance NVIDIA processor (see below)

Switching the preffered graphics processor back to "integrated Graphics" seems to see it working again.
