FME Flow

Hi, Could FME meet this requirement? I want to receive 1000's of HTTP Post payloads containing 500 bytes of json data. I have access to a 2 engine FME Server and obviously it can work with a single http post but worried about queuing as i have no way of rate limiting it and it seems running a workbench each time on demand is not the most streamlines process. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi,Managing Tokens has changed in FME Server 2019 vs 2018 and I noticed the url for generating a Token with an expiration of 3 days without an update does not deliver the same token in 2019 in contrast to version 2018.The url used has the format:https://<fmeserver>/fmetoken/generate.json?user={{FMEUSER}}&password={{FMEPW}}&expiration=3&timeunit=day&update=falseand creates a new token (with a new 3 days expiration) every time in FME Server 2019 in contrast to 2018 where is returns the same token within the expiration period.I’ve searched for some kind of equivalent url, but haven’t found it yet.Is it still possible to get the same token during the expiration period in 2019 and what (service( url should I use?Kind regards, Krien Guijt

Is upgrading FME server 2019 from x86 to x64 on same machine possible. I have server 2019 x86 installed.

Can you connect to ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) is a(SSO) solution created by Microsoft ) and handle login on FMECloud through this? Similar to connecting to AD on FME Server

HiI have entered my Office 365 Outlook credential in for my organisation email account. This work and FME Server return "Valid" when I click validate.However, we really wish to use a shared mailbox for the FME Server configuration (fme@). I assumed I had to enter the IMAP Account in FME Server as using the same password I used for my organisation account. However, this doesn't work and it says "invalid credentials" when I validate this.I have also tried just adding the shared mail box address with the same password but I get the same error. My organisation is hosting FME Server and the firewall is allowing IMAP traffic for this application so I'm a bit stuck,Has anyone else tried to do this or have any experience/ advice on how to get around it?

Safe Software is planning to drop native support for Ubuntu 16.04 and Debian 9 in FME 2020.0. Ubuntu 18.04 is already supported and Debian 10 support will be added. We have and end customer with 3 FME Desktop licenses;2 FME Professional Editon (Floating licenses)1 FME Databse Edition (Fixed license)In addition they have the add-on Curvefitter for FME (Floating License) FME Database Edition is installed (and licensed) on a server (running scheduled jobs). Is it possible to install(and licence) a FME Professional with Curvefitter on the same server? Or do they have to change license type for Curvefitter from floating to fixed?

Hi all,I am trying to create a WMS service with the use of FME Server 2019.0.1. I have followed two tutorials:- https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/19640/how-to-create-a-wms-service-using-fme-server.html - https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/1342/inspire-wms-demo.htmlAfter following the tutorials, I am able to open the WMS service in the data inspector and in QGIS. In QGIS, I have to do an FME Server authentication. Otherwise I am not able to see the data provided by the WMS service. In ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Pro, I also try to add the WMS service. However, an error occurs. These software packages are not able to open my WMS service created with FME Server.I think the errors occur, because of the token in the URL in the WMS service, for example: https://fmeserver.xxx.com/fmedatastreaming/Playground/GetCapabilities.fmw?&token=91dfc73aed4c80932296ba2116d4aabdcfd4b3ce. As the subject line states… This is a fresh installation of FME Server v 2019.1.2 Build 19630.I enter U: Admin P: Admin and it takes me right back to the login interface.The installation docs online state the following: Confirm that FME Server is available:Log in to the Web User Interface with the username and password you entered during installation.There was no prompt to enter a user name and password during installation. FME Server is installed on a Virtual Machine - Windows 2016 Server Any help would be great

Hi, I am trying to send an email using an email subscriber, which in some cases seem to work successfully. However, not all attempts to send mail are succesfull, sometimes the workspace job succeeds and the topic fires that should trigger the email subscriber, however, no mail is sent and not even the logfile email.log gets written. Anybody any clues? Is there no flushing mechanism on the email.log? The subscriber.log only states that there is a new client accepted on port 7072.

Hello FME community, I can't login to FME server anymore. When checking the Windows services, I can see that the FME Server Database is not running. When trying to manually restart it, it switches off again after a few seconds. And when I look into the ../FMEServer/resources/logs/installation/CreateDatabase.log or CreateUser.log I see that it is looking for a database on localhost on a certain port (see figure). However, I can't find this postgresql database back. I did install a new postgresql database yesterday, but that one is operating on a different port than mentioned in the above log files. Could it be that FME server is looking to the wrong postgresql database? I am looking forward to the responses. Kind regards,Tim 

I'm currently preparing to upgrade to FME Server 2019. I'm looking to install the new version in parallel but when attempting to install the new version of FME Server, it results in an error of "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue." This error occurs when using a different directory and/or drive.There are a couple of articles I've read, one mentions installing multiple versions of FME Server is possible (https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/796/installing-multiple-versions-of-fme.html), while the administrator guide states uninstall then install (https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Server_Documentation/AdminGuide/Upgrade-in-Place-Same-Machine.htm ).Is it possible to install multiple versions on the same machine?

Hi, I would like to ask you some tools and techniques for automation and visualization of transport services rotation (eg. Bus,train, flight connection ) , implement some kind of tool which converts the data into graphs automatically .The initial data is available in excel format and the final output will be expected in graphics(JPG,PNG.....) with map in the background .Pleas anyone to suggest me some techniques Thanks

As I never have migrated FME server before, I'm not sure what to expect / what the best practice is. I have mainly standalone workspaces in server 2016 which are started via the API from an external application. I studied the "Migrating From REST API V2" documentation and understand the changes.What is the correct way to migrate the workspaces? Download them using desktop 2016 and upload them using 2019? I understand there are no guarantees and will check outputs but should this work in general? Or is this a real no go.For desktop workspace migrations I copy - paste all transformers in a new workspace and then upgrade them individually, or just rebuild the entire workspace. But I would not prefer to do that for all server workspaces if not needed.

Bought a new computer and are trying to install my FME again.When I use the original installationfile (fme-desktop-2013-SP2-win-x86.msi) the computer says that the administrator has blocked the installation and I should contact him/her but I am the only one using my computer?How can I get around that, I have win 10 pro 64-bit

Workbench extension successfully runs within ArcGIS Pro 2.4 but standalone Workbench (2019.1) throws the Dependency Check Failed dialog.Licensing Assistant shows the type as Desktop Data Interoperability Edition (floating). Hello,I have just installed a new FME server on a new VM. I am able to send out emails using telnet on the VM using SMTP. Hello,I have just finished to install FME Server (build 19 617).(Installation with our own Oracle db).I can connect to the Web interface, launch workspaces, build automations, create new user, publish workspace, etc. BUT I CANNOT create a new Database Connection (Oracle or geodatabase, etc.). When I tried I get this message : The rest api "/fmerest/v3/namedconnections/connections" get a code 500 in response. I also tried to publish a workspace with a database connection but I get this message : Database connections access failed - FME Server encountered an error and reported the following message.929028:SQL Query SELECT NCID FROM fme_nc_namedconnections WHERE connectionname = ? AND username IS NULL failed. Error: Unsupported featureRequest to http://xxxxxxxxxx/fmerest/v3/namedconnections/connections returned status code 500. I found a dirty workaround :1. Insert a new row in the table fme_nc_namedconnections in the Oracle FME Server database2. Then the connection is visible

FME Server throws this error when I try to create a new user account: Error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "fme_useraccount_pkey" Detail: Key (useraccount_id)=(#) already exists. where "#" increments after every attempt. It seems to be getting hung up on this user account id every time I try to create a new user. There is no such user already created. Background: we recently migrated FME Server to a new hosting environment and the issue only appeared after the migration. version: FME Server 2016.1.2.1 - Build 16674 - win64Any idea what could be going wrong here?

I have created a bunch of FME server Apps (FME 2019), and they're highly appreciated. Easy to use and to understand. When used with the right input data it's just fenomenal.However, when something goes wrong (usually faulty indata) there isn't much information about what went wrong. It just says FAILURE. In cases that yielded zero output features. It just says COMPLETED (and does not present the results because there are none).Is it possible (of course it is) to get somewhat a somewhat more verbose response? How do I do it? Is it a notification service? Where do I start? I am at a complete loss. (It was 2 years ago I went to the FME server course and the memory seems to be of non stick material)I just want the server app to respond with something at the app running page. Please save me!
