Hi,I am using Automations in FME Server 2019.1 for the first time and I want to add the log file as an attachment to an email.I have tried inputting the following two options into the Emailer but neither worked.Option 1:$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_LOG)/engine/current/jobs/*/{job id}.log Option 2:{job.log} Automation Workflow:As a side note, I would also like to know if it is possible to send multiple attachments with the Emailer in Automations? If so, what would the syntax be for that? Thanks in advance!
Since a recent upgrade to FME Server 2019.2, I am having trouble inititialising a workspace following receipt of an email. The workspace uses several features from the email that it receives.Ideally, I'd like to just read the email into my workspace as a JSON file that is populated from the Email trigger on the automations page of FME Server. Annoyingly, it seems that I can only populate published parameters with individual attributes of the received email (e.g. Email Subject, Email Body, etc.) rather than bringing the whole email through to a JSON FeatureReader. You can see below that I can't populate the "Email" Parameter with the whole Email, I have to select one of the attributes of the email:Is there a way to populate a JSON FeatureReader with the entirety of the email that FME Server receives, including attachments and metadata?
Can someone help me resolve the following error when I try installing FME Desktop:An error occurred while attempting to create the directory: C\\...\\Document\\FME
Hello all,I succesfully connected to an Oracle Weblogic ESB (JMS) with some publications and subscriptions.But...The infrastructure here has a JMS-cluster, meaning there are two url-entries, not one.Connecting to one of the two works fine, but does not have the redundancy intended by having a cluster of two.So, when I put one URL in the Provider URL-field it works, but how can I enter two, for redundancy? This goes for publications and subscriptions. Kind regards,Martin
We've got a real head scratcher here. We are collecting data in Survey123 for ArcGIS and are using FME to listen for the submissions. Everything works perfectly for receiving the JSON. We've taken that JSON and built a workspace around looking at the data as it is pulled from ArcGIS Online without any issue. We even deal with repeats associated with Survey123. Here's the part we can't seem to get past. We have set up all of the attachment parameters and the job clearly pulls the attachments and it saves them in our specified directory. We even have it saving under FME Server in the resources-data directory. So there is no issue with the attachments being pulled. Our issue is we cannot get them to properly attach to the email being sent. When we remove the attachment parameters from the FMEServerEmailGenerator (Leaving attachments blank) the email comes through perfectly. It contains all of the HTML formatting we set up. But the second we reference the attachment the em
Hi,I have installed a Fault tolerant FME Server 2019.2. There are two Core servers and 4 engine servers with one engine each, no engines on the core servers. A third party load balancer take care of the active/passive routing to the core machines. When I look at the Deployment Status in the webUI, all 4 engines are tied to the engine manager on the active core host. The issue appears if I stop the FME Server services on the active core host to test the active/passive behaviour. When the active core is down there are no engines left and the only online core have taken over the Job routing. If I send jobs to the FME Server all end up in the queue. When I start the services again the engines show up again and look like they are tied to the now following engine manager. This should not be the case. The engines shuld swich to the active core when the first one is down. This behaviour appeared after an upgrade (uninstall/install) from 2019.0 to 2019.2. Before the upgrade the engines never dis
I'm running FME Server 2019.2 in Docker Swarm using a fairly standard compose file. In the past, we have had some minor issues with time synching, and the containers believing they were in UTC. Most of that has been resolved, however, we noticed today that we are unable to get a local timestamp generated from within a workspace, even though FME server logs in local time, and all of the containers are pulling time from their host.Using date, echo /etc/timezone or $TZ all return PST, however the workspace always returns UTC. I've got a volume on all our containers to use local host's timezone (/etc/localtime:/etclocaltime:ro) with no effect. Does anyone know what else I can look at to fix this? To be clear - all of our job schedules run localtime, but when trying to use date/time functions inside a workspace, UTC and localtime are the same according to FME.
License server runs on a Windows machine. We have 20 floating licenses. When a user tries to borrow a license from within Workbench we get the following message (both on pc and Mac)
Hello, I've updated FME server V2018 to V2019.2.3Unfortunately nou the scheduling does not run. There are no scheduled tasks in the que.If I manually start a job at the server it appears in the que but does not run at all.Wich services are responsble for the schedular. Do they have to run with SYSTEM?Or do all the services have to run with SYSTEM? thanks for your reply

Hi All,We're looking at setting up a PostGIS database on a PostGIS database sitting on an AWS Serverless RDS and are unclear whether our desktop FME will be able to successfully interact with it.Our main concern is with some of our existing FME workspaces that we would want to read from the PostGIS database, process for 2-3 days then write the output back to the database. During this processing we'd expect the AWS Serverless RDS to switch itself off as all the processing is happening on my desktop, but will FME "wake-up" the Serverless RDS when it's time to write to the database? Cheers Rich
Hello,Trying to combine log files that are created from workspaces that are being executed via an automation/schedules in 2019.2.Any thoughts please? Thanks!
Hello, I have fme server and and engines on two different machines in a distributed environment. I am trying to query the underlying postgres database directly through toad datapoint. It seems I need to connect to port 7082. I have not figured out the server name and location however. DataPoint is on my local box not on fme server.
Was previously running Windows 10 Pro build version 1809, until yesterday when Windows decided to update me from build version 1809 to build version 1903. This update seemingly has deleted FME Desktop application, though the other FME application such as Data Inspector and Quick Translator are still present.I launched FME Licensing Assistant 2018.1 and tried to enter in my Home Use License serial number into the Single-Fixed-License field. But it returned this error.""Invalid trial activation codeThis trial activation code has already been used to generate a license. If you wish to obtain a new trial activation code, please visit www.safe.com/trial."" The license is valid for another two months. So my license isn't expired either. I also tried pointing the FME Licensing Assistant 2018.1 to C:\\ProgramData\\Safe Software\\FME\\Licenses since the license file still exists. That returned "License not valid on this computer" So I'm at a total loss, any
We're upgrading our servers and databases to ArcGIS 10.6, Oracle19c and FME 2019 I'm installing the new machine for FME, but 'm unable to connect to our database with the ArcSDE Geodb reader. Just out of interest: How does FME detect, that a directory has changed? Does it store the information about the files in the directory at a given time in a file? So that when the directory watch is triggered it can compare the new informations of the files in the directory at that time to that file?Or how else does it keep track? Thanks, Vera
Hi all, I have noticed every few hours the token on my topics webhook keeps changing, which causes the webhook to no longer fire. I have tried to set the token to one i have generated in the account that lasts for several years, but this still does not work. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hello, While configuring a license from the command line, I found this article.Only, I couldn't get it to work. The problem is, that you have to use fmelicensingassistant_cmd.exe in all cases. (Not just fmelicensingassistant)Could you please update your documentation accordingly? And maybe explain that you can retreive the license type bij running the --query command line. Kind regards,Fabian HofmanAxians
Hello,FME Server 2019.2 build 19801 running with FME CloudI think that these two settings for a Trigger in an Automation configuration should be equivalent, but the left setting - Schedule Type "Basic" didn't trigger any action actually, whereas the right setting - "Repeat On Interval" is working as expected.Am I missing something? Or it was a defect on the "Basic" type and has been fixed already in a newer version?

I am really new to FME. I need to move spatial data (both topology and attributes) from Smallworld to Azure postgre.postgis. Additionally, I also need to take care of the "delta" data moves (incremental updates). Pls let me know your inputs. 1. Is an intermediate XML unavoidable? 2. Is it a plain lift & shift or should I be concerned with Data Modelling?
Hi,I have a client who has no troubles installing FME 2018.1.2.0 (build 18590) in A Citrix environment. He tries to upgrade to 2019.0 (build 19238) and get a error message:I have not had the time to troubleshoot too much, anyone seen similar and knows what might cause this problem?
