I'm trying to convert my GDB model, which is modeled in City Engine, to Cesium 3d tiles. Both reader and writer are implied with default settings. The transformation process goes smooth, I found that the output models are grouped in different data set. So every time I click on one model in Cesium, a group of models are triggered and all the model share the same attributes.What I am looking for is to keep the original amount of models after transformation, so they are independent and hold their own attributes. What settings are needed to make it work for me?

This should be simple but I am having a brain misfire. I want to read in a large ECW file and create a shape file which follows the raster data snuggly (not including the white, nodata areas). Obviously I need it to run as quickly as it can.

I drape various geometries on a DEM I create from SRTM data and want to write this to a DXF file.This works fine for all kinds of geometries except for filled polygons of type autocad_hatch.Documentations says:... their geometry must be 2D or planar 3D with a constant Z, which can be stored as an elevation value.The phrasing "which can be stored as an elevation value" is not really clear to me as it is not defined how to do that.  I have tried several things to force these features to 3D with constant Z valueBoundsExtractor+3DForcer to _minzBoundsExtractor+2DForcer+3DForcer to _minzBoundsExtractor+2DForcer+setting attributes elevation, autocad_elevation, autocad_hatch_elevation to _minz... but always get the error message about inconsistent Z values and Z being dropped. Nothing seems to allow me to move these hatches to their desired height.What am I missing here ?

We are a gas and electric utility in the Netherlands.Smallworld 4.3 is our registration system and we currently use Smallworld Sync Manager to load changes to an Oracle Spatial database nightly.Next week we are reviewing Sync Manager and also looking at alternatives.My question is are there organisations that use FME instead of the Sync Manager to populate Oracle Spatial nightly from Smallworld? What are the pros and cons?We do have the FME Smallworld license and I've made a connection to Smallworld via FME Desktop last year before we upgraded. I found the reading the Smallworld features very slow. We don't have SpatialBiz plugin.Would @MarkAtSafe or @erik_jan have any thoughts?Thanks,Annette

I am trying to convert a GeoTIFF to an Esri polygon shapefile or feature class, not a raster. The GeoTIFF is in WGS1984 which is fine, and contains grids that have stretched value and pixel value fields. I used a GeoTIFF reader and tried both Esri Shapefile and File geodatabase writers as output but I'm getting just one feature. I don't mind if every grid is a polygon since it's a small enough TIFF file that I can classify them after the shapefile/feature class is created but if I can do a simple transofmation to pre-identify classes to create fewer polygons that's fine, too. I didn't see this capability in current ArcGIS as a direct approach, so I wonder if FME has a better way. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

I have a large amount of stereo image pairs for the Appalachian Trail and was wondering if anyone has ever used FME Desktop to process stereo image pairs into a DEM product. If so I'd greatly appreicate any help you can provide on this topic.

For some reason I can't add more photos (logos) on my pdf. My current PDF looks like this:My PDFPageFormatter settings looks like this.I have moved that two logo objects around and they never appear on the pdf at all. The location map object, which is created by the workspace using raster and vector data can be moved around anywhere and I don't have to do anything extra to locate the jpeg on the PDF page. I added a rastergeoreferencer after my reader using page units, following a related question but that did not work either. How can I fix this without using Avenza's Mapublisher transformer.

CityGML to MapInfo (TAB) coordinates with 3 decimals (mm's) are rounded to 1 decimal (dm's). When same CityGML file is converted to SHP coordinates are not rounded.  E.g. 55499.763, 388968.263 becomes 55499.8, 388968.3

I'm trying to use the DatabaseJoiner transformer to link to an Oracle Spatial view (not table), but the SDO column is not appearing, nor is the geometry showing up in the resulting joined features. Can this transformer be used for this purpose?

Hi ! When I run my workspace, It stops because of duplicate data (but there aren't) I think It memorises something in a channel or something but I don't know where I can clean it .... Error : WARN |Oracle Writer: Abnormal channel cleanup required, likely due to previous error 

I'm making workflow that creates a layout for drawings and exports them to pdf. The lining, north arrow and all work but somehow the layers of the PNG's are not correctly exported to the PDF. When looking at the drawing in the inspector everything is transparent and also the shape of the image looks OK but somehow in the export to PDF the transparency is lost and the image gets a bit squeezed together.I cant find the option to tackle this, for example the pdf styler made everything transparent or nothing but not only the transparent parts.

I have a png (map symbol) that I'm trying to rotate for each degree (so I end up with 360 for each symbol), but when I use the Rotator, it just makes the image size bigger at certain angles. Is there a way to ensure that all the angles get resized back to 60x60 so they all appear the same size on the map? (0* is 60x60) (60* is 82x82)

I have a total of 4 million records from various featureclasses stored in SQL spatial database and I have one workspace reading from SQL and writing out to an Esri FileGeodatabase (using API, not ArcObject writer). When I run this workspace in Desktop, it took approximately 16 hours to finish. However, it took 3 days to finish in FME Server. I checked the timestamps of the log in FME server, writing out was gradually getting slower and slower. I was just wondering why there is a significant difference between Desktop and Server with the same workspace?

Hi,I have an issue in writing a GeoBorder feature in AIXM5.1 with the XML_Templater:When i try to write the geometry <aixm:border> in the GeoBorderTimeSlice, it writes two records <aixm:border> and it only needs one record.I used a XML_templater transformer to write the xml because i have to write <gml:geodesicString> in place of <gml:linestringsegments> ( this one is given by the GeometryExtractor transformer but i don't need this form of writing at the end of the process)I send you my work project.If you have any idea about this issue and how to solve it, your help will be appreciatedThanks to all

When loading ESRI shape files into ArcSDE using ArcGIS tools (such as arcpy), the processes usually seamlessly bypass some errors and complete the load. Those errors can include both geometry and attribute errors. However, when using FME to do the same data flow, the process will stop on any errors. Some of the geometry errors can be fixed in GeometryValidator, but some not. I just ran into a shape file which has a row with an invalid attribute value in the dbf file. When loading in ArcGIS, this row is automatically filter out without giving any warnings or errors. But when loading this shape file to ArcSDE in FME, it gives an error, and stop the FME process. Is it possible in FME to force bypassing data errors in loading shape files into ArcSDE? The ESRI shape files and file geodatabases have wider tolerance for geometry and attribute incompatibility or poor integrity, but ArcSDE (Oracle) has more strict rules. This has been a major issue in my converting python arcpy data loading

converting oracle geometry from one projection to other using FME desktop 2014 sp2 version.While doing so ,some of the arc segments (3 vertices) automatically gets converted to linear segments with (~ 30 to 40 vertices) . How can we avoid this ?Is there any parameter to disable these type transformations ? (req : Arcs segment need to be maintained)
