Error code 2330 when installing FME 2017.1

Hi, I'm encountering problems installing FME 2017.1 64bit desktop (version 02 may 2017). Installation runs almost to the end, but fails with error code 2330 and rollbacks itself.I tried downloading it again, same error occurs. Hope someone can help! Thanks.

Connection Problem using the FTP Caller

I am trying to connect to an FTP via the FTPCaller (downloading a file), however I am having huge issues with the message coming back saying "Couldn't connect to server".I know the following:- I can rule out proxy issues as the HTTP caller works perfectly- On the same machine I can use an FTP client eg WinSCP and connect to the same FTP- On the same machine I can paste the FTPCaller URL I am entering into a browser and again connect to the the site.I am puzzled as to what is going on. I.T say there are no firewall restrictions (proven by WinSCP connecting) or proxy issues (HTTP Caller works OK) so I'm not sure what is going on.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Luke

After install, FME Server Web UI is not working - errors with REST and pages not found. Help

I've just installed FME Server 2016. After restarting the server and running a sample job I would then go to the Jobs page to ensure that it ran successfully. After clicking Manage > Jobs I get the whirling cogwheel then eventually a message on the screen that says: There was a problem communicting with the REST APIThe security pages show a message that says:Sorry, Page not FoundHow can I fix this?

In FME Server 2016 + I am unable to request a license through the web interface with the following error: "Failed to retrieve license request connection info."

WIndows Authentication on FME Server 2017

HiI'm having trouble using connections to SQL Server since upgrading FME server to 2017. I'd like to use windows authentication, and got this working on 2016.1 by changing the account that one of the FME services ran as (using a service account), and giving that service account access to my database. I've tried this in 2017 and it doesn't seem to work - it stops various parts of FME Server from working properlyAlso I can't seem to find any documentation for FME Server 2017. Is there any?ThanksAdam

FME on linux

Trying to install FME2017 on linux and get this error-message:Dependency not satisfiable: libpng12-0Have tried to google for it to be installed - but this seems to be a very old library - the newest is 16-16. Any workaround for this?

Windows 10 and 32bit DB2 ODBC connections

Windows 10 64bit machine running 32bit FME version 2016.1.3.1(20161207 - Build 16716 - WIN32) and I am trying to connect to a DB2 non-spatial database using ODBC.  I have installed IBM iAccess Client Solutions version 1.1.0.15 and created a 32bit ODBC connection to the server. When I add an IBM DB2 Non-Spatial reader to the workspace, it fails with the following error: IBM DB2 Non-Spatial Reader: Database version '7.1.15' not supportedI tried using the instructions on this site at https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/675/creating-an-odbc-connection-to-an-ibm-db2-database.html but they will not work on Windows 10.Is this something I can work around or am I beating a dead horse. Thanks in advance.John

Error licensing ArcMap on FME Server machine

Hi,Perhaps someone has come across this before. I am trying to license ArcMap on our FME Server.FME Server 2015 is installed with the FME Server license Manager on the same server (server1 )using port 27000ArcMap license manager is installed on server2 also using port 27000.Port 27000 is open on each server. Both machines are running Win 2008 Server.We install ArcMap on the FME Server (server1) and try to license it using the license manger on server2 but I get an error that there is no License server running on the ArcMap license manager server.The FME Server and ArcMap license managers are on different servers. Therefore I would expect that I can connect to the ArcMap license manager from the FME server even though they both use port 27000 as they are separate servers. Can anyone confirm this?Thanks,Annette

Linux installation of FME Server failed but I ran it as root! line 403: ./install.sh: Permission denied

I am logged into my Linux machine as root, and tried to run the installer. sudo ./fme-server-b16716-linux-x64.runAfter granting all permissions, it still doesn't work.sudo chmod 777 fme-server-b16716-linux-x64.runsudo ./fme-server-b16716-linux-x64.runThis is the error I received:Verifying archive integrity... All good.Uncompressing FME Server 2016.1.3.1................................................................................/usr/safe/./fme-server-b16716-linux-x64.run: line 403: ./install.sh: Permission deniedWhat can I do?

ArcGis 10.5 licences aren't recognized anymore

I recently installed the new ArcGis (10.5) on our system. ArcGis is working perfectly well, but since then FME isn't able to execute ArcGis related (GeoDatabase) tasks. The Error call is: Unable to check out an Esri license. Please ensure ArcGIS is correctly licensed and that there are available licenses. Is this a known problem and what can I do to solve it (except for waiting 2 weeks for the new FME release). The only thing I can think of is reinstall the older ArcGis.

FME Server on Docker

All,I have read and implemented the docker installation of FME server on Docker Engine as published by @GerhardAtSafe. https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/24815/deployment-of-fme-server-using-docker-toolbox.htmlMostly the installation, licensing and engine management runs fine. However, I am having an issue using the job manager to kill jobs. Any time i try to terminate a job I get error communicating with FME server host (hostid). Connection Refused. I have reason to believe this is to do with the fact that the hostname of the engine and the web/core are different (as they are containerised) do kill requests get sent on a different port address? Is this an issue with the docker configuration or has anybody else had the same issue? Appreciate any insights you may have had.RegardsGavin Montgomery

Video Scaling and editing in FME

hello,i have a strange request and i am thinking if FME can help me in anyway,we have walked down a railway track and taking a video (360) allowing us to see the condition of assets eg a signal box, i have also got a simple ployline in LL84 showing the path.the request i have is when someone clicks on a point on the line they will get the video related to that area. could FME server crop the video?can FME be used to scale the video eg the start of the video is the start point of the line and the end of the video is the end point of the line?i know FME is not a video editing tool, but any help or ideas would be much appreciatedthanks

installation of FME floating licence

HI for obtention of licence code in case of floating licence for FME Desktop, I would like to know if the informations contained in the MD-DOS command : ipconfig/all,are sufficient....I won't be able on site to be connected everytime, so I would ask the customer to type this command on the server computers where the licences will be installed.Regards

Can FME desktop be installed on anything other than the C:\\ drive?

I'm trying to install FME desktop on a VM that's configured with a very small C:\\ drive which contains just the OS. All the program files are installed on the D:\\ drive. When prompted for installation folder I'm changing it to the D:\\ drive. I'm getting an error that there is not enough space on the drive, then I get an error 2755. I've tried installing it on my own workstation, on the C:\\ drive and it installs properly.

FME on Ubuntu 16.04 Install

FME desktop application disappeared after upgrading Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. Reinstall FME 2016 on the new OS failed. Safe tech support confirmed that 16.04 had not been tested. If someone has had luck with Ubuntu 16.04, please share your installation procedure. Much appreciated!

Linux: How to set environment variables that the FME Engine will see

I'm trying to set ORACLE_HOME for FME Server on Linux, but the FME Engine is not seeing it. I fetch it and print it in a workspace, but it's set to a value I definitely didn't set:/opt2/oracle8i/app/oracle/product/8.1.6How can I set ORACLE_HOME for the FME Engine?
