I've seen lots of people over the community asking how to read AGOL attachments, but I'm curious to find out what FME users are doing with them once they've been read using FME.

Hi there, I have a workspace that fills out an excel spreadsheet and then pushes this into Sharepoint. I want to hide the first five columns in the spreadsheet (so I can unhide them when I need to check, but the user doesn't have to see it). How do I do that? I tried hiding them in the spreadsheet in Microsoft 365/Excel Online, but they revert to showing every time the process runs. I tried in the FeatureWriter Paramaters> Edit Column Formatting> Cell Protection> Hidden in the first five columns, but that didn't work.Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

I want to create a PDF report like this , where i have HEADER and the value below   In this yellow boxes 'PDMS' column could go in this attribute values  this is my FME workflow to insert HEADER but , the values / attributes are coming from Excel output , so i need to insert them in this boxes like sum / average , total count etc. 

I need to split this polygon using as a reference the rows, how can I do this? These polygons are initially rows, which I transform into polygons using AreaBuilder. As a result it generates 2 polygons, however I need to fragment the polygon into more parts according to the rows.

I had an FME Cloud 2022.2 instance where I had uploaded a Python module and its dependencies to the python38 directory as that was the version of Python I had on local machine running FME Desktop. Everything worked as expected. When I replaced the instance with an FME Flow Hosed 2023.1.1 instance, the workspaces using the module continued working normally. However, I wanted to upgrade the module as I was using a pre-release version. My local machine is now running Python 3.10, so I uploaded the new version of the modules and its dependencies to the python310 directory on the instance and removed the files in python38. I have not been able to get the module to work in the python310. I have both removed and re-added engines and rebooted the instance. If I move the files into the python38 directory, the module is accessible. I noticed that even though the workspaces have Python capability set to 310, the workspace logs on the instance always say they are using Python 3.8. Hello, I have a IFC which contains some 3D pipe (ifcFlowSegment), somehow it has about 70 face polygons, which makes it looks great but it creates some issue in the following workflow in ArcGIS Pro. I'm wondering if there's a way to generalise/ simplify pipe solid, for example by reducing the number of face polygons to half or something? Thank you.

I am importing a project into FME Form that contains two automations, associated workspaces, and the repository for the workspaces. The repository for the workspaces already exists in the FME Form environment I'm importing into and it has other unrelated workspaces in it. The Preview Import page states that I will overwrite the exisiting repository during import. What, exactly, does "overwrite" mean? I only want to add the two new workspaces to the existing repository. Is that what happens? Or does the import process completely replace the repository, wiping out any existing workspaces and keeping just the two new ones? Something else? I'm trying to figure out if I should include the repository during import or not. I can't find any documentation that provides an answer. If anyone has one or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!

Any ideas what could be the reason.

Hi;I created a very simplified version of my custom transformer.All it does is find the center point and define the layer name for the future dwg writer.Attached is a custom transformer and workbench example, where dwg writer creates a dwg file with point in the default layer that come from custom transformer.When I use the transformer in "linked" mode and start the entire workbench, I get an error.When I use it in "linked" mode but with the use of feature caching to the transformer, and then I only start the dwg writer with "run to this", then it's ok.When I use the transformer in "embedded" mode, everything works fine.The difference in the translation log is in line:"Using MultiWriter with keyword `PRIMARY_DEST' to output data (ID_ATTRIBUTE is `multi_writer_id')"in embedded mode and"Using MultiWriter with keyword `REDIRECTED_DEST' to output data (ID_ATTRIBUTE is `multi_writer_id')" in linked mode.Note tha

Hello. Could someone advise? I have an airport runway and for each runway I have a runway threshold coordinate - start and end. I also know the length and width of the runway between these runway thresholds. I would need to graphically create a polygon that will create the correct visualization for me based on these input attributes. The output format will be a shapefile. The dates of each runway are several times, because depending on the direction from which I land, I have the name of the runway. In reality, it is 2 points of each runway (start and end) and their one length and width. Thank you very much 

I need to make an inventory of the GIS data my organization has. As a first step, I need to make a list of the names of the Feature Classes in each of our File Geodatabases.  Is there a way to extract a list of the Feature Class names (not the attributes or schema) from a File Geodatabase(s) to Excel using FME?  I know how to do this in python in ArcGIS Pro, but given I am relatively new to FME, I thought I would try it in FME.

I have a file of polygons and need to generate a list of which are adjacent to each other. I tried the spatialrelator tool and selected the 'touch' parameter but that didn't work for me. I then read a few posts on this forum and decided to buffer those polygons (only 10 ft) and then run the AreaOnAreaOverlayer to generate a list of overlapping polygons. I selected the Merge Attributes option and the UID column within the transformer so that the output included the UID of the main polygon and the UID of each polygon that is adjacent/overlaps that polygon.  The tool works with one exception: the formatting of the merged UID column. It keeps adding brackets { } in the column name. I can't find a way to remove those from the default name value within the transformer itself. I can change the column name in my output file to remove them, but then the transformer will not allow me to manually connect the transformer column to the new name column in my output file (which I'

Hi, I have 2 sets of data one line and one point set. I have snapped the point set to my lines and aggregated them by their highway name. I need to remove the first and last point that falls on each highway. Unfortunately, this is where I come up short on ideas. I have tried using a Neighbor finder and snapping the last points to their closest neighbor, but as my road data overlaps, this causes an issue of points snapping to points on other roads.   Any recommendations would be appreciated.

This is an FME Server that has recently begun to cause problems. One of the scheduled jobs fails but there is no information in the log. Any leads on how to proceed and solve this problem? FME Server 2022.2Build 22765 - win64

Hi All, Does anyone have experience installing ArcGIS Server with ArcGIS Server Basic license on the same Windows Server hosting FME Server? Do I need to complete our ArcGIS server Setup Wizard? Or as long as I have ArcGIS Server installed with ArcGIS Server Basic license...I am ready to have automations accessing enterprise level SDE and read/write data from our enterprise GDB without creating a new site? or do I need to "Join Existing Site"? Please help :)  Many thanks,Reno 

Hi guys i just need to find a way to identify the areas on a dataset which is not covered by each of the field values from another dataset..  I also need this inspection to be done by one of the fields. e.g. my input layer A needs to get scanned through to find out areas not covered by Layer B. but on layer B there is a field and each field value will need to be scanned separately and identified at the output.. Im trying clipper - outside - group by attribute but doesnt seem can give me the output i need.. Thanks!

If I reinstall FME flow software, can same license file be used again even this is a trial flow license? According to the licesne request file machine code is generating diffrent value. Do I need to request new trial license file if reinstallation is in place? Is it applicable for permanent license also in case of any reinstallation is needed? Please advise.

Hi, I have a CAD file with 1000 polygon, 500 out 1000 are shifted 0.2m. I want to keep only 500 regardless of the shifting. please advice. thanks

I have a 3D dataset of lines several lines contain large spikes - like the one in the screen shot and attached template. I tried using the SpikeRemover but it doesn't seem to work - Does the Spike remover just not work on spike in the Z direction - the documentation doesn't really help identify why it doens't work?  Failing that is there another way to remove points like the (z points which are about 100 meters off from the expected position). I started going down the line of extracting coordinates and trying to identify them that way but it seems like there must be a better way

I have a long workflow that transforms some DWG (for buildings), GeoTIFF (for terrain) and FBX (for trees) in 3D datasets (IFC, OBJ, FBX, glTF). The whole process takes a bit more than a day because it's on a quite huge input dataset. The output is fanned out based on a 500m x 500m grid.When I was testing my workflow on a smaller dataset, it worked fine on the four different file formats. Now that I tested it on a bigger dataset, it only works on the file based datasets (IFC and OBJ). The workflow is still able to write the first part (terrain) in the folder based datasets (FBX and glTF), but as soon as it starts writing the buildings in the all ready created fanned out folders, I get an Access Denied (that I didn't get when I was working on smaller datasets).Does anybody have any idea why ?
