In Manage Schedules, there is a column named "Total Runs"; this tells you how many times a Schedule has been run; is there a FME Flow Setting to have a particular Schedule "auto-refresh" the Total Runs at a specific interval? Currently, to view the total runs a user needs to refresh the page or step out of and back into Manage Schedules.  

Here i have some Lines extracted from DWG and thought i set them to the correct projection. all seem right except for one file that is way off "Asbuilt - Sewer Existing" I noticed that the autocad_origion x,y are the correct extents but the geometry have different xy coordinates. any ideas on how to set this correctly would be appreciated. I'm looking for some advice to get me started on creating a workflow. I'm an intermediate FME user but this problem has got me stumped! I'm dealing with roughly 100 areas that require tree planting. Each planting area will be a different size depending on the environment. Once each area is planted, we need to monitor 20% of the area to determine the success rate. The monitoring plots are 10 x 10 metres, so area of 100 sqm. The plots need to be placed at random and I need to find out how many monitoring plots can be fit wholly within a planting area where the total area of the plots is at least 20% of the total planting area. For example, if the planting area is 3000sqm, I would need to assign 6 x plots.20% of 3000 is 600. 600sqm would be 6 x plots. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have a workspace where I am using the Emailer Transformer.  What is the best way to send a single email based on reading a list of 5 email addresses in an Excel Spreadsheet? Would I still use the Emailer Transformer? I am thinking there are parameters I need to change in the Emailer?

Hi, I have a couple of queries, I will try my best to elaborate. I am transforming to DGN cell to CityGML.1) How do i ensure, that exterior rings are counter-clockwise, and interior rings are clockwise? I am using the Orientor Transformer, and setting Let-Hand-Rule, however, on surfaces, i still see (from using Inspector against the CityGML) that the polygon is right-hand rule.2) When viewing the resultant CityGML in Inspector, it is showing the wall surfaces rather strange..... some are rendered as exterior (solid) representation, some have the interior (dashed) representation.Does it matter that FME represents it in this way? or does it actually mean something? is it related to point1? These are shown as right hand rule (i want left hand rule).Thanks,Steve

I'm wondering how to use the Python Caller transformer to run the arcpy.RepairGeometry_management geoprocessing tool. I'm working with some input File Geodatabase data that's getting re-projected and producing self-intersections. The Geometry Validator transformer is identifying these but not repairing them (i.e. they come out the Failed port, not the Repaired port). I confirmed that using ArcGIS Geoprocessing tools on the same machine fixes the self-intersections, so I wanted to use the Python Caller to do the exact same thing in the context of the FME Workspace. What I'm getting is a generic error though, see below. Maybe my syntax is incorrect but I've tried a few different ways and haven't had success. I believe currently each FME Flow engine only uses one core per engine. Meaning each workspace that is being ran is only utilizing one CPU core. My question is does this also apply to Python ran through a Python Caller in the workspace when being ran in FME Flow? For example, I have a Python caller running an Esri tool and set the parallel processing of the tool to be 5 (meaning the Esri tool will use 5 cores). Does this mean the Python will use all 5 cores? Or does FME Flow still limit the Python from only being able to use one core?

Hi All, I'm putting together a workbench to run a multi criteria analysis (MCA) based on a hierarchy (hierarchy level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc). The conditional values in the Attribute creator will help me with that. The problem is that some of the values of the hierarchy need to the next level of the hierarchy . Here is the hierarchy that needs to be followed:  - Hierarchy Level 1- Hierarchy Level 2- Hierarchy Level 3 o Exception A : Any record in level 3 is ‘No main habitat’ will go to level 4 in the hierarchy, if level 4 is empty then goes to level 5, if level 5 is empty then goes to level 6, if level 6 is N/A then goes to level 7.- Hierarchy Level 4- Hierarchy Level 5 o Exception B:  Any record in level 5 is ‘Individual Tree’ then goes to next level 6 in the hierarchy, if level 6 is N/A then goes to level 7- Hierarchy Level 6 o  Exception C: Any record is N/A then goes to next level 7 in the hierarchy.- Hierarchy Level 7 The following screenshot shows the conditional statement for

Got a situation where I would like the store attribute values, @Value(attribute_name), in some HTML code which itself is stored in a SQL table. The idea is that the @Value(attribute_name) will be different for each of our clients, sending them a personalised email based on their own data. Currently FME reads the table in and keeps everything as plain text, @Value(attribute_name) does not get replaced with the appropiate attribute value. Is there a way to get FME to recognise the attribute names in the HTML code and replace it with the appropiate attribute values? if I copy and paste the HTML code into atttributecreator then it works as expected, however we would like to manage all this in SQL server - saving us having to update the workbench everytime there is a change required to the HTML Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to create a connection with my enterprise ESRI account, but only have the option to enter a username and password, when I can only connect to this account via SSO. Any idea how to work around this? I have set up a web connection to my ESRI account but it doesn't automatically connect to the map service through this.

Is there a way of validating that the data contained in an attribute is valid based on a table of values?I know I can use a CSV list in a tester with 'in'. But my table of preset values is 4-500 entries long, and has the possibility of change, is there a way of comparing directly to this table, or using the table to populate the CSV value (maybe through a parameter?) automatically?

Hi,I'm trying to convert a DGN file wiht mixed geometries: most of them are read by FME; but not all. It seems like the geometrytype "smart solid/surfaces" isn't read by FME Desktop at all? Is it possible to read those geometrytypes? We really need them ;-)Added this message are pictures of the same file showed in MicroStation and in FME Desktop. Also added is the DGN file.

Hello everyone, I'm working on creating a Geopackage, and I've added a new table (feature type) to indicate the relationship between several other tables. How can I add features to this table without taking the original feature type or feature from the reader.

Now that LDAP/Active Directory reader have been put on the deprecation list in FME 2023, I'm trying to find an out of the box solution in FME to update my workbenches and continue using it.  

My input attributes have numeric or string values, with possible empty string values.I would like to replace empty string values with Null. When I use the option "Substitute Missing, Null and Empty by: Default Value", and set "Default Value: <null>", nothing happens. The values remain unchanged (with empty string values). I can get the desired result with the help of "Action:Set Value" and Value: Conditional Value -> If ATTRIBUTE IS EMPTY -> Value <null>". I know I can use the Null Attribute Mapper transformer, and the Set Conditional Value method above, but using the"Substitute Missing, Null and Empty by: Default Value" option seems the most elegant to me. Have I misunderstood the purpose of "Substitute Missing, Null and Empty by: Default Value" or am I using it the wrong way?

I have an Esri ArcGIS Binary Grid and a line shapefile. The shapefile was produced by the Surface Draper transformer, so it is 3D and has Z values at the verticies from the same Grid. The Z values that I would like to generate at a 10m interval can be output to a csv, instead of being applied to the shapefile: that is, I do not require verticies to be created in the shapefile at a 10m interval. Just need the interpolated Z values every `10m down the line. Thanks!

Hello - I would like to use the attribute creator in FME to generate a StartDate and EndDate. The EndDate should calculate the last date of the previous month and the StartDate should generate the first date of the previous month. There is no data to refence so I would like to identify todays data and then use the logic to get the Start and EndDate.  The idea would be to use these dates as parameters when calling an API. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can implement this. many thanks 

Hello - I have several fields in hh:mm:ss format and I want to sum the total number of seconds from all parts all the field. For example:01: 10: 30 would total 4230 seconds  Does anyone know the best way to achieve this? I am brining the data in from an API and have used the JSONFragmenter to tabularise the data.  I assume the current data type for the fields is string as that's the default for FME?

To ensure our database's data integrity, which is periodically enriched with measurement data governed by users, we use FME to create data validation reports in Excel. With these reports, users can correct their data iteratively.  To make this work, we use SQL statements stored as attributes in a table. Depending on the report to be generated, SQL statements are fed into a SQLExecutor transformer as attributes. At the time of writing, we employ close to 500 validation queries, each with their own set of columns as well as amount of columns. The picture below shows how the queries are inserted into the SQLExecutor as an attribute.  This is then routed to a dynamic Excel writer by using the SchemaSetter custom transformer. The Excel report is generated as expected, except for the column order, which is sorted alphabetically instead of the order specified by the (dynamic) SQL queries. Is there a way to preserve the column order specified by the SQL queries instead of having them sorte

Reading las/laz from network drive suddenly throws error: LAS reader: Failed to open file for reading. Please ensure that the file exists and you have sufficient privileges to read it. Other filetypes works fine eg. JSON. Also, if I move the las/laz files and read the from my local machine it works fine.Any ideas why this happens? (My user have full priveliges on the folders and it's content also I have tried setting full access for anyone on the folders.) Thanks

I created a workspace that takes a zip file (nested zip), unzips it to a temporary folder (I used StartUp Python Script to do so). It then reads all the unzipped SHP files from the temporary folder (uses dynamic ESRI Shapefile Reader), reprojects all the files, filters them by feature type (to points, lines, polygons), checks for duplicate features and if the geometry is valid. Finally, it saves 3 output shapefiles:1. all point elements consolidate into one output shapefile2. all linear elements consolidate to one output shapefile 3. all polygon elements consolidate into one output shapefile  I would like the workspace to be independent of the input dataset (attributes). Because now when I run workspace with a second set of zipped shapefiles (with different attributes), I get shapefiles in the output with empty attributes that are in the first set of data. For example first dataset (which was used to create workspace) has ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ attributes, second dataset has ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’
