I am attempting to convert a DXF/DWG file into the IMDF format. Following the instructions outlined in the first and second articles, I have successfully preprocessed and located the DXF file.However, I am encountering an issue at part 3 of the process. The Reader does not seem to be reading any features as expected.The tutorial I'm following can be found here. One thing, I updated the reader format from Autodesk AutoCAD RealDWG DWG/DXF to Autodesk AutoCAD DWG/DXF.Because I could not load module '/Library/FME/2023.2/plugins/realdwg/realdwg.so' .But i do not think that causes the problem.I would greatly appreciate any assistance in troubleshooting this problem. Hi All,I have created a workspace that reads all GDBs included in a folder (and subfolders) and export a few attributes to an excel file but now need to bring the GDB name (path_filename) into the final output. I tried to expose the attribute to bring it along the workflow but seems isn’t part of the unexposed attributes.I was expecting to see the GDB name as part of the Generic elements (within the unexposed attributes) but the GDB is only in the <Schema>,How can I bring the GDB name as column in the final output (excel file in this case)?<Generic> screenshot<Schema> Screenshot

Hi community,I would need your help to make my FME code smarter and more dynamic. I am retrieving data via API. The problem is that I can only retrieve 100 items per page. I have 6 pages so I duplicate 6 httpcaller to be able to recover all of my data.Wouldn't there be a more dynamic way to retrieve this data without having to duplicate the httpcaller, maybe by looping but I don't know if it's possible on FME.In the first call, I have the information about the number of pages.Thanks for your help

Hi, I have been working on CESIUM 3DTiles generation, but I am facing challenges because the results are not aligned with my intended goals. Specifically, I am unable to achieve the desired mesh quality. The input files consist of a GeoTIFF with a resolution of 6 centimeters per pixel, and the point cloud data is stored in a LAZ file containing over 250 million points. Despite these inputs, the resulting mesh quality remains disappointingly low. I am seeking guidance on how to improve my workspace and achieve a high-quality mesh. 

I am using the FME REST API v4 to try and retrieve all Workspace Apps (and Automation Apps and Gallery apps) but I only get http status code 404, although I see in Fme Flow that we have over 20 Workspace Apps. I can retrieve Schedules, Automations and Workspaces just fine. Is it a bug? Result:HTTP/1.1 404    NO_RESULT    {"message":"FME Server Workspace App automations does not exist."}    404 This works:$(FME_SERVER_URL)/fmerest/v3/schedules?limit=-1&offset=-1This doesn’t work:$(FME_SERVER_URL)/fmerest/v3/apps/automations?limit=1000&offset=0 

Hi There,After a recent upgrade of ArcPro (to v 3.1.0) I am now seeing this notation in FME Desktop and FME Server logs....Current installed ArcGISPro version '3.1.0' is unsupported. Minimum supported version is '2.3.0', and maximum supported version is '3.0.0'....what does this mean exactly?...do I need to upgrade FME?...on Desktop it doesnt seem to make a difference (I can still successfully run operations), but now some Scheduled Services are failing in FME Server and I am wondering if this is the reason. Thank you

I have a very long list of attributes that I have typed into an AttributeValueMapper transformer. I now want to share this mapping with someone (not an FME user), so I would like to export the source and destination values to excel. I see that there is a button to import to this transformer, but not one to export. Is there a way around this, or doing I have a lot of typing to do?

Hi All,I’m new to process LiDAR data using FME and just received a bunch of LAS files that need to process as DEM (output). I was doing some reading and users sue the _classifciation to classify the data but have just realised that my data isn’t classify as my classification filed is 0? Screenshot below: I’ve also tried to use the PointCloudLASClassifier but the classification is 0 so doesn’t work. Any trick to classify the data and be able to export the DEM?

Hi,I am trying to copy files within a work flow using the feature writer transformer. i dont want to use the writer as i want to carry on processing down stream of this action.in the filecopy writer i can set the destination folder as below. however i cant see out to populate the parameter's in the feature writer, or its not clear. Anyone else managed to get this working?Thanks,Andy

I have looked into the Creator + FeatureReader transformers but can’t get it to work, folder structure as follows:  I would like to read the multiple GDBs form the DATA level and force FME to go through the subfolders. 

Hi, I am trying to simplify .stl file that is a fme_surface.I am trying to get from this to this I have tried MeshSimpifier and Triangulator+MeshSimplifier but it failed 

I have used the 'filecopy' writer. The workbench works fine within FME desktop but when I run as a 'data stream' within FME server I get a message saying 'There was an Error'. See attached screenshot. I guess the question is, is it possible to 'data stream' a PDF. And if it is, should I be using a PDF writer?

I am trying to use attribute, which reprsents search path, to fill in the XML Path in Update section as shown in the screenshot below. But the update is failed. The original value for the element is gone.  From the translation log, I can see the following warnings. But I cannot figure out why it says about “end of file”.  Please can someone shine a light on the issue?Thanks.

Hi, I wanted to very simply use a tester to select all records that had a date in the past week. I have tried everything but it does not seem to work.I have a date field in the correct format, I have also tried other formats via the date/time converter but it does not work. @DateTimeNow()-7 does not work.Anyone have any other suggestions? ThxNathalie

I am working with a workbench that was authored close to 15 years ago. We had to change out the SDE Readers that are pulling in our GIS features. Since changing the reader the text be written to the DGN is coming out in different sizes. I have checked the output in the inspector and although the text is visually different the idgs_text_size attribute is consistent. I have tried to override this with the DGN styler but there is something else going on. Any ideas on how to either assess or fix this would be greatly appreciated. 

Dear,I have a folder with 2208 xml files, approx. 30 GB. I read these files using a File Path Reader followed by an XML reader. From these files I select some features and save them locally. However, with my 16 GB RAM I run into memory issues. I already reduced the amount of data as much as possible within my workbench but still its not enough.Is there a method I read first 10 xml files – process them – save the outcome and go to the next 10 files, like a loop? My second question is whether it will safe memory in case I use a fanout expression or just write one final dataset with the results.My version is: FME 2023.2.1

I have a workspace in FME Flow but I don’t know wich automation it’s used in. How do I find it? We have 75 automations, I don’t want to manually search through them. It hasn’t run in a while so I didn’t find it under Jobs/Completed.

Hi FME people,When creating a reader or writer, our typical procedure involves selecting an SDE database connection, such as SDE.EDIT.R. Following this selection, we establish a link to a deployment parameter, assigning it a local value. In this scenario, the local value corresponds to the database connection SDE.EDIT.R.    This works well, except when we try ‘view source data’ or ‘view written data.  The connection is set to the deployment parameter but the local value is not used instead.Anyone who is experiencing the same thing? We use:FME Form: 2023.2.2FME Flow: 2023.2.2Thanks a lot,Francis
