I have setup a FME Server Webhook trigger in the automations section and want to put the payload received into a database table by running a workspace after the action is triggered. Please help or advise if this is not the correct way? Thank you #Automation​ #Webhook

We are using FME 20222.2 and have created a worskspace to translate an input GML file into a proprietary XML format using a XSLTProccessor. It works as expected.We wanted to add a similar translation to transform an excel file into the same proprietary XML format. However, that requires XSLT 2.0 and it seems the XSLTProcessor only supports XSLT 1.How can we construct an XML based on an XSD and complete the attributes from an Excel file ?Is there some demo/example somewhere ? I didn't find one.

Hi!I have about 8 file geodatabases containing 3-6 feature classes (with different schemas) in each geodatabase. I have a standard set of 4-5 attributes (with blank values) that I need to add to each feature class. Is there an easy way to keep the original schemas from the original feature classes, while also having the ability to add new attributes? Thanks for any info!

I have a workspace that includes two Emailers that send emails based on what file is added to a folder. If a zero byte file is added to Folder A then an email will be sent; if a file that is more than zero bytes is added to Folder A then an email will be sent. It runs good in FME Form, it send two emails one notifying the recipient of a zero byte file added to Folder A and one email notifying the recipient of a non-zero byte file added to Folder A. But, after I publish this workspace to FME Flow, and create an Automation with the Directory Watch Trigger (triggered only when CREATE .... new file is added to the folder) that kicks off the workspace, it sends me 8 emails. Is this a bug with using the Emailer Transformer? I notice that in FME Flow I cannot view the Emailer parameters as I can with other Transformers.  Any ideas on how I can get this Automation to send me only two emails? ​

When the FTPCaller Transformer uploads a file, is there a way to set a parameter where when it uploads the file it actually moves the file out of the source folder and not copy the file?

I have an FME workbench set up in Flow that grabs an XML file from an HTTP location - in that application the access is denied and no features are read. This same workspace when downloaded into a desktop workspace and when run with FME Form has no problem reading the XML into features and I can run the process successfully. What gives? Edit - I noticed the client was using the FME Server 2022.2 but provided me with FME Desktop version 2022.1. I updated the FME Desktop version to 2022.2 and now the HTTP requests register 401 unauthorized in both applications so I think this is less about any issue between Form and Flow and more about some nuance between versions... I can still connect to HTTP just fine in 2022.1 on same machine, same creds in a variety of transformers\\readers - but in 2022.2 no dice. Something changed between point versions but do not see this in Issues documentation.

It looks like STAMEN free background maps will be discontinued from 10/31/2023.  Does FME Form automatically show 'STADIA' maps as option from 11/01/2023 for free background maps? Also are there any other free background maps as other options?

Hi all,I'm having issues configuring the JSONTemplater to output my data.I currently have 7 rows, with 2 unique IncidentIDs. I'd like to aggregate the postcode data and geometry for these 2 IncidentIDs so that the json can be used on a webmap showing all the postcodes associated with an incident: I've configured my ROOT and SUB templates but the JSONTemplater fails at the root. Today I was helping one of the users in my organisation with some code in a PythonCaller. The value returned by fmeobjects.FMEFeature.getAttributeType — Python FME API FME 2023.0 b23309 documentation (safe.com) is an integer. The list of possible values is defined by the list of constants here Features — Python FME API FME 2023.0 b23309 documentation (safe.com) What I am missing is which constant represents which integer value. Are these available somewhere?  This would have been helpful understanding me and my user what was happening.

How would I configure ftp caller to upload multiple PDF files to an ftp site?I tried Transfer Type - Upload a File and used a wildcard in the path, *.pdf, but this was rejected. I know how to use FTPCaller to upload a single file. I have included a screenshot of the FTPCaller parameters I chose but these result in a rejection.  I want to upload all ftp files in a particular folder to my ftp site.  If FTPCaller cannot upload "all pdf files in a particular folder", what other transformer should I use?

Hello , i am trying to create connection between FME HTTP callers and azure AD . the connection is succeeded with http caller i .what is the next step ? i have added the requested url with tenant id and client id and client secret .it seems to me that it is working . what should I do now to upload specific file through http callers ?could someone advice me ,thanks in advance .Fme 2021

I was following the FME Desktop Basic 2022.1 web training (trailhead). Now I can't find my progress or training anywhere. Is there something i missed?

To get a file validated, users can send an email to the FME-Server with the file attached. In an automation we first check, whether theres an attachement at all and whether the extension of the file is correct. If so, a validation-workpace starts, If not, the user gets an email back.This works fine, as long as there's just one attachement. But we now have a user with a grafic-file in the email-signature. FME-Server counts that as attachement too and sends him a mail, that he has to send a file with the correct extension, even though the file is there...I would have to loop through the attachements, if there were more than one, but how can I do this?(We are using FME Server 2020.0.2.1) Thanks in advance!Vera 

I have data coming in from an instrument. It contains the readings for gasses like oxygen and H2S.  I am trying to create a report to highlight the highest value in a given hour on a given day. Feature cache works great as a method to inspect all transformers after a workbench has ran, but causes a few issues for me.it hurts performance to cache each and every transformerI lose all the cached data if FME crashes or I close the workbench.I am looking for advice on ways to cache or otherwise save output from only a few transformers. My only idea is to write features out to a file, and later bring back in with a writer. are there other transformers I may not be aware of that can save/recall data after restarting the workbench? 

I've PostGIS table with two geometry types - Point & Polygon. When I read table, I'm only able to see Polygons. But point geometry column is only shown in table and unable to visualize. Is there any way to visualize point geometry instead? How do we explicitly mention for which geometry columns to be visualized? Thanks!

Hi there,we have a workspace where we check with a HTTPCaller, if an URL has data to download. This workspace works perfectly in FME Form.  If we notice, that there are no data available, we want to become an E-Mail in order to react on time. We have created an automation in FME Flow with an E-Mail-block.  Now we do not know how can we make the match: No data to download (FME Form) -> Action failed way in FME Flow in order to send the mailData to download (FME Form) -> Action successful in FME in order to log a message how can we make it? Thanks a lot in advance

I am creating the desktop version first but it will eventually be published to FME Server so the specific file choice would need to be done using a user parameter.Ideally, I would like the generic reader to be able to accept any of the following file formats: feature class, shapefile, GeoJSON and CSV. I have created a published user parameter for File/URL which would allow the user to locate the file they wanted to run through the workbench.Currently, when I try to add this user parameter in as the Dataset for a generic reader, I get the following error:Workspace generation failed. Parameter file was C:\\Users\\********\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\FME_1697209596703_9204. I have also set up a workbench where I tried filtering to feature readers for specific formats e.g. feature class would have it's own Feature Reader where the Format is: Esri Geodatabase(File Geodb) and the Dataset is still my user parameter.
