Hi, really odd one, I had to update an existing workbench that has been in place for at least 6 months. When it exports data from a sql server table to excel the featurewriter puts in 0's where there should be nulls. Another featurewriter using the same source but writing to csv behaves itself. Any ideas what could be going on? Some screenshots of the data going in and the design are below. I have not upgraded the writer. This is the same if run from desktop or cloud.

Get distance between multipoints within a feature in meters. Attached is file with testdata.

I have a table that i managed to extract 2 coordinates, but the coordinates don't show up for all rows how can i do this? Another question is that I'm going to process several files with different values ​​for these two fields, how can I repeat the values ​​for each different file too?   Thanks 

Most of our pipelines use revit/dwg/dgn/csv files and for our ETL procedure we would like to store all these inputs using the same filetype in staging. Is there any type of data that would support this? other alternatives?

Hello, I'm trying to extract a number out of my comments column. I'm not sure how to write the expression? or if I'm using the right transformer? I'm still new with FME. The number I am trying to extract is 8 digits and is put in comment field with this format "/ 12345678 /" an example of the format is below. VB BLVD / 59208085 / L06-514 / ATT 8547 Is there a way to extract this number?  Thank you!

How in FME would you check that two floats are "close", given testing floats for equality can be a challenge? e.g. "-23.123" as listed in an XLS compared to "-23.12300005" stored in a point feature class? In Python I use the math.isClose() or assertAlmostEqual() Thanks

I convert input features to XML using XMLTemplater. Everything is fine as long it is done through the same sub-template. Hi FME colleagues,Neighbor finder transformer finds the nearest neighbor and allotting the same candidate to multiple bases. In my requirement, I need to pair the points from two set of data, but one base one candidate, that means one candidate should not be paired with more than one base.for ex : I have two sets of data, one is Blue and the other is REd. Now, first, the blue base comes and finding its closest candidate (good). Now the second base comes in and finds the same candidate which is already paired with the first blue base. this should not happen in my case, if it's already paired(i mean the closest candidate to some other base) then remove it from the candidate set. the candidate set should go smaller and smaller through the fme process. now what our neighbor finder does is matching with all bases to first(1) candidates. many to one. can we achieve this using any transformer? or any workaround within FME using python caller?

I have 1 dataset with many overlapping features. These overlaps tend to have a different feature name. I have been given a list that tells me which name takes priority over the other. I want to find the overlaps and then just carry through the areas that take priority. For instance ancient woodland trumps everything. Building footprints trump everything else. Wetlands and pumping stations trump grassed areas.  I have started with an AreaOnAreaOverlayer, generating a list (OverlapAttributes), AreaCalculator, Counter and Tester, where the _overlaps > 1. I've then added a ListExploder.  Where the '_area', '_count' and '_overlaps' are the same, I want to only take the feature with the highest priority name. Am I going about this the right way?I'm a lost as to where to go from here! Attached is some test data and my workbench so far. Thank you!

I'm trying to get a single output from these two sources:County Assessor Parcel BoundariesSurveyed Parcel Boundaries The goal is that, if the parcel is in the Surveyed Parcel Boundaries layer, we use its shape. If not, we keep the County Assessor layer shape. Only some of our records are in both sources. Some are in one and not the other. Which transformer would be best for this scenario, and how would I go about setting it up? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to create a workspace for doing a batch identification of information contained in tables within some pdf files, the thing is that the pdf also contains some other information as text, so I am a little bit confused on how to achieve that, and also if it will work with different tables, because the dataset I have was made by multiple authors so they are different tables on each pdf. I am wondering if it would be better to use a external application or a PythonCaller to achieve that, but before trying that out I would like to confirm first. I am attaching a sample pdf of my dataset so you can see the table that is in it. Thank you!

Hello,I am trying to generate centerlines from IFMEDonuts/Polygons derived from CAD floor plans. The majority of these lines are fine, but there are a handful of instances where it ignores the shape of the polygon or creates an anomaly.  I understand that it does not bring the line all the way to the bounds of the polygon (maybe a setting in the next version? hint hint). This might account for a few of these issues, but not all. Here are a few screenshots with problem areas circled in blue:Any ideas? UPDATE: I was able to resolve a few of them by Intersector, Chopper, HorizontalAngleCalculator, Rounder, then TestFilter any lines not orthogonal. I also used the SmartCleaner to extend, join lines against the polygon, then Smartcleaner again on just the centerlines, but set Extend to 0 and Overshoot to 6. This cleaned up most of the anomalies, but the areas ignored by the centerline and others remain. Ultimately, I think CenterlineReplacer needs an update, but any workarounds in the m

Dear All,  I am trying to write some features in a versioned featureclass. Instead of writing it directly to the SDE.Default,I have created version in ArcGIS and I have set the FME output to write to that version and I have made sure you have Versioning set as your Transaction Type under Advanced settings.I have Run the FME workspace and it has come up with below error message.  I am not sure why this has come up. I'm really struggling with the string functions in FME at the moment. I have a workbench reading JSON features from an API and I have one attribute where the results are in a list. The JSON extractor results the attributes like this:  ["Medium"] Or if there are multiple values, like so:["Easy","Advanced"] I want the results to be: MediumIntermediate,Easy I want to remove the brackets and quotes using a single transformer and can't figure out the formatting for my life! Currently I have 3 separate "string replacers", each one removing a single character, but there must be a better way...I don't mind using a REGEX expression if someone can figure it out. I'm also open to using a different type of JSON query to extract these values? If there's a way to get the attributes without the brackets and quotes? I also tried using the string pair replacer but I constantly get an error, and I can't seem to format it properly. I wish yo

Hi Guys,I'm wondering how to set up a short list of coordinate systems by the new Manage attribute window. In fact I'm missing the Import-Button that has been there until FME 2020, when creating a Choice with Alias User Parameter. The Import-button now automatically opens up a reader defintion.  When I use the Coordinate Systems User Parameter type, no choice-list can be created.  Is it really impossible to complete this task or am I missing something obvious? (Hopefully the latter :-) ) Any hints are welcome! Thanks in advance

Source Origin: Multipolygon layerDestinity: SinglePoint Layer  If I use the CenterPointReplacer with the "Any Inside Point" mode checked the result is rejected.And if I use other of the two modes, the result is a singlepoint outside the ancient multipolygon layer, and I need only one point inside the ancient area.  Does anyone know the correct way to obtain it?

Hi.I'm working on a project where I need to find points within a distance of each other and assign a value to each neighbor. I'm using a neighborfinder with "candidates only", blank number of neighbors to find, given max distance and the ID of each point is added to a list. The points are close together, so the same points will be found for each candidate.  What I'd like is to add a value to each of the closest candidates based on a attribute value on the feature. Do you have any a ideas on how to solve this? Torbjørn 

My situation is this. I have a number of lines in a gdp on top of which I have some points (with a unique id called nodename). I want to rotate these points based on the angle of the lines. What I have done so far to achieve this is to make a buffer around the points, clip the lines using the buffer. Use the horizontalanglecalculator to calculate the azimuth of the lines. However some points have 3 lines coming through them meaning I have 3 angles for 1 point. I need to calculate the average of the x number of angles for each nodename.  Can anyone help me with this? I am trying to generate centerlines from parallel line pairs which are transformed into bounding boxes, then areas. This works but the centerlines do not extend all the way to the edge of the area/bounding box:There does not seem to be any settings in either bounding box, area builder, or centerline replacer to change this. Am I going to have to add a snapper? Any reason why it does not go to the edge? Thanks,@larue​
