Hi, I have a CSV file with 20 spatial points & I was able to convert the points into a line (using LineBuilder) but the line which is created is having a single feature to it. I have used Chopper Transformer to cut the line. It does the job for cutting the lines but all features get same as the first one feature.How I can separate the feature as well with the lines Please Help ..!

Do packages need to be re-uploaded when FME Server is updated to a new version?Are uploaded packages available on a per-user basis or are packages uploaded by one user available for use by another user on FME Server? Thanks

Hello!Once again, I've come across an error I have never seen before and can't find online.I'm adding a new ArcGIS Online feature layer to an existing workbench, which matches points inside polygons (using the PointOnAreaOverlayer) and gives the points the project number attribute from the polygon.This works fine for all the layers inside it, but this new layer gives the following error:ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: 'updateResults' error for a feature in '<layerName>'. The error code from the server was '1000' and the message was: '24126: Point coordinates cannot be infinite or not a number (NaN).'I checked the point which was sent to the layer (using the feature caching), it shows on the map just fine and according to the attributes it's an IFMEPoint. But at the end of the coordinates it shows <nan>, regardless of the X, Y and Z values. The main difference between this layer and the others is this one is the first with a Z-value attached. So I expect that's the pro

Hi list.(This is not about the new streams feature)We're trying to utilize FME server for processes, that accept a streaming input and produces a streaming output. I.e. HTTP handlers.As far as I can tell, you can't initiate such a process via the REST api, as this overrules the output with its own JSON stream. You need to create and use a webhook. Is this correct ?Even with a webhook it seems, that the streaming input (= POST body) is ignored. Are there some special requirements in the formatting of this input ?Our input is a custom XML format.Our output needs to be a CAD file. All examples only name XML and JSON as options, so is this even possible ? If so, what are the specific requirements to accomplish this ?Any insights are appreciated.Cheers.

Hi, I am trying to merge two datasets, one being the primary dataset that has Levels and the second dataset that has Zones. Each level has all the zones associated to that the level. I would like to achieve a dataset that displays this merged dataset. I have created a small sample of the actual larger dataset below. I think the solution involves some sort of list handling but I have tried out several list transformers but so far haven’t been successful, I would like the desired outcome in columns as shown above and not in rows as I think can be achieved by exploding attributes. If this cannot be achieved using transformers, I am happy to use a python script inside the pythoncaller if someone doesn’t mind sharing a script. Appreciate any advice either way.  Thanks in advance.

I would like to know if there is any way that I can host an Fme Server application on my organization's website (for example) that is published using cPanel. What I would like to do is that through a public website, some of our clients can access a server application. I know that I can connect some other web application to the fme server using rest API or url webhooks if the server has a public IP address, which can be accessed from an external network. Can anyone enlighten me on this issue? I am just getting started in web development and these questions come to mind. Thanks

I have a workbench which has a complex custom transformer added in which a python caller is present. I wanted to check what is happening in that python caller so I used some print statements. But I cannot find those print statements in logs that is being generated. How to get the log of a custom transformer in FME Desktop 2019.

I want to reopen an old case that is still of interest:Geodatabase Error (-2147219884): The Field already exists (safe.com)My error isn't of the "reserved word" origin nor related to having "shape" as an attribute name.When trying to dynamically create tables in a GDB I get the "Field already exists" error. Hi, I have a workspace that is retrieving me data from an API every 15 seconds, thus I can have a web app that can read the messages trough a websocket and then display the info on a map (similar to the FME demo: http://demos.fmeserver.com/spatialdashboard/index.html ) In my case, I am not using it to show moving objects but to locate earthquakes, and the interval only allows to keep my data up to date. Now if I want to send a notification via email, for example with earthquakes reaching a certain magnitude, how can I prevent my notification from being triggered every 15 seconds and instead only send notifications once per event? I was wondering if anyone here can help me out with an FME expression that is part of a larger FME puzzle. Skip ahead for the FME expression I'm trying to write, or read the whole thing for background information. As most of us know, there is probably more than one solution to the overall puzzle. Background information about the FME puzzle:I have a Table1 with a column called USERNAME that is a list of names, and a column called called USERPHONE that is a list of associated phone numbers. I have a different Table2 with a column called BLDG_INSP with a list of names, and an empty column called BLDG_INSP_PHONE. Based on the information in Table1, I want to populate BLDG_INSP_PHONE. Initially I tried various Joins and conditional statements in AttributeManager, but no luck. So, I combined USERNAME and USERPHONE into a single column called USERNAMEUSERPHONE, separated by a comma, to use as a bridge. Ex: <Anthony Stokes,123-456-789> The idea is that I can write a conditional state

I'm using the AttributeExploder to prepare a two line table for an HTML report, the header as 'name' column and the value line has another.  How to avoid unwanted 'values' or hide them? It adds those two:fme_geometry fme_undefinedfme_type fme_no_geom Or is there a way to filter out value before using in the HTML report transformer?

Hi I'm creating a DWG-file witch gets it name from the published parameter outfile. This works fine when I call the workbench directly from the desktop. But if I upload the workbench to the FME-server and then using the Data Download Service I get the default name instead of the supplied parameter.Here is an example of a http-request to the fme-server:http://localhost/fmedatadownload/SPIV/spiv2dwg.fmw?export_spiv_data_id=99&outfile=newname.dwg I first thought I somehow failed to supply a value for the outfile-parameter, but since the other parameter is working fine, I don't think that could be the problem... Regards Nils P.S I'm using FME Workbench and server 19.1 resp 19.0

I can add new resource folders to FME Resource area at the top level, is there any way to create a FME Server Paramter that refrences that newly added folder ?

I'm trying to build a workflow as such:A user is presented with a HTML file showing a web map with features that is created by the HTMLReportGenerator. The user can click on a feature on the map displaying the tooltip which has a hyperlink as set in the Label Attribute setting in the transformer. The user can then click the hyperlink to be directed to an additional webpage or form. Is it possible to have a hyperlink in this setting? Whenever I try it, the HTML page returns with no web map at all.

I'm wondering if it's possible in FME to perform a dynamic segmentation on an LRS event with an offset to the output line geometry.  What I mean by this is I'd like the result geometry to be beside the base geometry, parallel to it and a distance away. For example, here's my base LRS geometry, going from 0 to 10 meters. Here's the event I'd like to perform the dynamic segmentation on, with a start measure of 0 and and end measure of 5. This is what I'd to have. A line going from 0 to 5 meters, located to the left of the base LRS geometry. Is it possible to do something similar to this in FME?

I am needing to read a comments field and replace the double quotes with 'inches' and replace & with 'and'. I tried my hand with regular expressions, but am very new to this and it did not work (user error I am sure). I also just tried Replace Text and it doesn't seem to work either.

The problem:I have two lists which are related to each other by way of index so lets say we have the following format - List 1 (contains 4 Elements)List 2 (contains 4 Elements) The Elements in each list relate to one another so Element 0 in List 1 is directly relatable to Element 0 in List 2. Element 1 in List 1 is directly relatable to Element 1 in List 2 and so on and so forth for the rest of the Elements. What I'd like to Achieve:If any Element stored in List 1 = "foo" -- I would like to remove it as well as the related Element in List 2. I think this is easily achieved if it is possible to extract not just the attribute of the Element in the lists, but the Element Index as well. How do I do this? I am able to extract the attribute name of each Element easily by using:my_list = feature.getAttribute('my_list{}) Thanks in Advance. 

Hi everyone. I'm using the FGDB Open API writer in 64-bit FME 2020.1 (build 20624) to write an FGDB table (no geom). I have 2 "double" type fields in the FGDB table which are set to allow NULL values (I've checked in ArcCatalog). When I run my Workspace, FME refuses to write features to the FGDB table which have NULL values for the "double" fields. I have tried ensuring the values are NULL using a NullAttributeMapper before the Writer, but it hasn't made any difference. I have also tried using the other FGDB Writer - the one that uses ArcGIS Desktop, which seems better - I just need to fix some features which have "null" instead of NULL to complete the testing. Has anyone else experienced this difference between the FGDB writers?

Hi, I have a workspace that downloads two different files (1 geopackage, 1 textfile), renames them and stores them in a ZIP file. Said ZIP should contain the current date in its filename. Normally I use the date/time functions in the filepath paramters to create the current date on the fly but the options in "Destination Fanout Directory" do not offer these functions. As a workaround a created a Text Parameter where the user enters the current date manually but if possible I would like to do this automatically. Can this be done somehow?

Hello,I am trying to do some cleanup work of some Polyline Features where densified curves have been created due to loading the data into a Shapefile at some point in the past. I want the densified or stroked curves to be turned into true curves. I know there is the Curve Fitter transformer but I want to limit the amount of linework that the Curve fitter is run on to help eliminate unnecessary manipulation of the data. I have some approximate curve selection parameters in a Python Caller Transformer to help select the appropriate lines to select the lines I want the Curve Fitter to run on. The issue is I need to know which lines are connected together in sequence to allow the Curve lien selection algorithm to work. The lines have OID fields that are randomly generated based on the copy and past functionality of ArcGIS Pro. So far I have tried the Attribute Manager Adjacent Features but that appears to work off of table rows which is OID based(I think) not spatially based so that doesn

I am using a few check boxes at the Run window to let the user choose a few different things. I'd like different action to result from whether a tick box is checked or not. I can do that ok using a Tester and checking if the user Parameter is YES or NO, and the test works well, but this gets ignored by a FeatureMerger a bit later. The workbench somewhat carries on no matter what the test result is.  The end goal is to only create attributes if the user tick a box or not. Are there examples of that?   No features should go to the bookmark in yellow, but it does anyway despite failing the test. And the FeatureMerger returns empty values of course. I'd like to get rid of the Attribute with empty values before they get exported. What's the best way to do that? Let it merge then remove the attribute? if user-parameter is NO -> AttributeRemover on X I'd be a lot easier with Python, am i missing something obvious? Hi everyone, I'm making a call to the FME Server API to get a list of Schedules and I'm getting back "raw" encoded strings in the json response, but I would like the "values". Is there any way to do it? Here's an example request, which uses a token that I set up in FME Server (the token only has access to the Schedules) :  The json returned looks like this : {"offset":-1,"limit":-1,"totalCount":65,"items":[{"owner":"me","request":{"publishedParameters":{"name":"MyURLAttribute","raw":"https:<solidus><solidus>myFMEServer.com<solidus>something<solidus>blah"}...The "raw" values look like they're encoded eg. "<solidus>" instead of "/" I was expecting :{"offset":-1,"limit":-1,"totalCount":65,"items":[{"owner":"me","request":{"publishedParameters":{"name":"MyURLAttribute","value":"https://myFMEServer.com/something/blah"}...I tried changing the "response encoding" to the system default but it didn't make a difference.  Any ideas?
