I have a single fixed license that I use for development work and a floating license that I use for production work. How can I easily switch between the two? Right now I have both added, and when I'm off network, it takes FOREVER for FME to presumably timeout with the floating license and try the fixed license.

Hi @runneals ,

If you are wanting to use your fixed license, then you'll need to remove the *.dat files from: C:\\ProgramData\\Safe Software\\FME\\Licenses

The *.dat files are local license files used to connect to the floating license.

But if you're wanting to connect to your floating license, the next time you'll need to enter the floating license server (and repeat the process of deleting the dat files if you no longer want to connect to the floating license). Unfortunately, there's no other way around this aside from deleting the files.

Hope this helps,

Andrea
